Lots of parking spaces around the hotel, good location.
Rooms are quite basic. No bathrobes or towels included, both have to be rented separatley. Should be included in this price range. Rooms good use some refreshing.
Spa is good and relaxing, many saunas and couple of pools. Jacuzzy made eyes hurt a little, not sure if it was too much salt or chloroform in the water. Not overcrowded.
But the main feature of the room was the broken toilet lid, there was a crack. Breakfast is also poor, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. A couple of types of cheese, ham and some fish salads and herring. One porridge and mini pancakes. In general, if you have PP, then there’s really nothing to choose from.
And more about the spa. The spa area itself is beautiful! The baths are different, but! If the hotel has even 30% occupancy, it will be terrible. Because the spa opens at 17:00 and is open until 21. It turns out that everyone who checked in will go there at the same time. By the way, check-in is only at 16:00. I'm afraid to imagine what happens here at the spa if the hotel is full.
The result was that we wanted to relax in silence and go to the spa in peace, but there were a lot of people, including children, so we went to the spa for an hour and left.
Will we return to this hotel, the answer is no. We expected better, drove 5 hours here and were disappointed.
The main advantage is the beautiful view of the castle from the balcony! 🏰
The bathroom… was disgusting (look at the photos!!). It had a plastic dirty shower cabin (the cheap ones you find in a do it yourself store) and all the plastic was moldy. The shower curtain was so filthy I couldn’t believe what I saw. I went to the reception desk to complain. She gave me another room which was equally filthy. There were grease stains all over the windows and there even was long hair on the pillow. What?!? I am not difficult but for €250 I demand a clean room. This is supposed to be a SPA hotel!!
At this point I had enough and I demanded a full refund. The reception employee Monika was first very hesitant and defensive, but in the end she gave in and called the manager to ask permission to give us the refund.
We found a much better, clean and cosy spa hotel in Kuressaare for basically the same price.
Avoid this hotel.
Very helpful and welcoming staff, the coziest spa and a really good restaurant as well (especially loved the rum ice-cream and beef brisket)
Spa is small, but has everything needed and there’s even a couple good saunas. I had the superior room which sadly didn’t have neither a carpet or minibar. Balcony was rather nice and spacious. Mostly old-ish design in rooms, but there’s essentials you need for a overnight stay.
Since it’s a spa hotel, I would assume to have at least a pair of slippers in the room.
We were very satisfied with our stay and defenetely will visit again!
