Stayed in Meri for a night.
Lots of parking spaces around the hotel, good location.
Rooms are quite basic. No bathrobes or towels included, both have to be rented separatley. Should be included in this price range. Rooms good use some refreshing.
Spa is good and relaxing, many saunas and couple of pools. Jacuzzy made eyes hurt a little, not sure if it was too much salt or chloroform in the water. Not overcrowded.

We arrived at the hotel to celebrate a birthday. In general, as others write, the cleaning is bad! The toilet is dirty, as are the bed linen. We took a superior room with a balcony, the furniture was old and scratched. There is no refrigerator in the room, also so-so considering the price in the summer season. Robes of terrible quality, made of polyester! Plus, the size is not suitable for everyone. For a man of XL size and height above 180 it will be small! Everything in the shower room is falling off!
But the main feature of the room was the broken toilet lid, there was a crack. Breakfast is also poor, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. A couple of types of cheese, ham and some fish salads and herring. One porridge and mini pancakes. In general, if you have PP, then there’s really nothing to choose from.
And more about the spa. The spa area itself is beautiful! The baths are different, but! If the hotel has even 30% occupancy, it will be terrible. Because the spa opens at 17:00 and is open until 21. It turns out that everyone who checked in will go there at the same time. By the way, check-in is only at 16:00. I'm afraid to imagine what happens here at the spa if the hotel is full.
The result was that we wanted to relax in silence and go to the spa in peace, but there were a lot of people, including children, so we went to the spa for an hour and left.
Will we return to this hotel, the answer is no. We expected better, drove 5 hours here and were disappointed.
The main advantage is the beautiful view of the castle from the balcony! 🏰

This was our first visit to this hotel; before that we usually stayed at GO SPA. Hotel for a solid four: we took a deluxe room (commodore suite) - spacious, about 50 m2 - for a family of 4 people - enough space. Excellent SPA, but a little small (we visited on weekdays - there weren’t many people, but I think it will be crowded on weekends). A good a la carte restaurant, but the breakfasts do not reach 4 stars. Great location. Excellent service.

The rooms in this hotel are filthy beyond believe!! When we entered the room there was a musty smell. There were cobwebs full of mosquitos behind the curtains. There was dust on the furniture.

The bathroom… was disgusting (look at the photos!!). It had a plastic dirty shower cabin (the cheap ones you find in a do it yourself store) and all the plastic was moldy. The shower curtain was so filthy I couldn’t believe what I saw. I went to the reception desk to complain. She gave me another room which was equally filthy. There were grease stains all over the windows and there even was long hair on the pillow. What?!? I am not difficult but for €250 I demand a clean room. This is supposed to be a SPA hotel!!

At this point I had enough and I demanded a full refund. The reception employee Monika was first very hesitant and defensive, but in the end she gave in and called the manager to ask permission to give us the refund.

We found a much better, clean and cosy spa hotel in Kuressaare for basically the same price.

Avoid this hotel.

Warning!!! Not a place for kids. Receptionist managed to frighten our daughter to the point of crying and enjoyed it. The rooms are very dirty and much smaller than the ones on the pictures. Once you pay the money they will only laugh and say that the rooms are different and they cant do nothing but scam you!

Dear Raoul, I was very disappointed to hear about your experience and I do sincerely apologize that the cleanliness level of your room was not up to your excpectation. Please rest assured that we will work hard in order to improve in this area. Having said that, your claims like the one where we made your child cry or that we scam our guests are very serious claims and the management of the hotel takes them with full seriousness. I regret to inform you that after speaking with our Front Office team I have not found any proof to these two claims, therefore I would kindly ask you to contact me directly via jan@johan.ee so that I can follow up on your claims. Kind regards, Jan Kainel Front Office Manager

Loved it. Great location - sea promenade just in front of the hotel, 5 min walk to the castle and 10 min to the town center.
Very helpful and welcoming staff, the coziest spa and a really good restaurant as well (especially loved the rum ice-cream and beef brisket)

Spa Hotel Meri offers a delightful and tranquil experience. The hotel is pleasantly quiet, providing a peaceful atmosphere for guests. The rooms are not only clean but also comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay. The highlight is undoubtedly the pool and spa area, where the pool stands out for its warm water and overall quality. The breakfast served is good, adding to the positive experience. With nothing to complain about, Spa Hotel Meri is an excellent choice for those seeking a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a quiet setting.

The general spaces were mostly beautiful and clean. In the corridor, there was sewerage smell, but there’s a possibility that it came from the sea that was very near.

Spa is small, but has everything needed and there’s even a couple good saunas. I had the superior room which sadly didn’t have neither a carpet or minibar. Balcony was rather nice and spacious. Mostly old-ish design in rooms, but there’s essentials you need for a overnight stay.

Since it’s a spa hotel, I would assume to have at least a pair of slippers in the room.

Spent a weekend with my family, have to say that it was a great experience. SPA is recently renovated as I understand, enjoyed it fully. They even have a childrens corner which my children liked a lot. Brekfast was nice and tasty, staff very nice and polite, unfortunately I do not remeber any names. Will definitely be back should I return to Saaremaa!
