We have been to many parts of Belize over the years, and figured we would try out the island life for a change. We arrived via a thirty minute ride in a tiny boat. Many members of my family get seasick, so this was not a pleasant ride for any of us. You do get pretty wet, too which was...

Pelican Beach really has it all, or most of it, if you want comfort, great snorkeling (our no. 1 request), peace and quiet. It's on a key right on the reef, and there's decent snorkeling right off the beach (biggest barracuda I've ever seen right there!). We don't fish, but our son-in-law does, and he spent hours on the flats...

We are sorry it took a year to post your comments. Problems with invasive neighbors are best resolved administratively by the companies themselves and in regard to legal opinions by the Belize court system which has spoken on this matter. In both cases - minimizing involving guests has been our policy as you are on vacation. We offer our guests...

Wow. If you are looking for seclusion and top notch service at its best you will find it here. From the time you get off the boat to the meals served the staff is top notch. Our server Kevin met our every need and the management made sure every day of our stay was pleasant. I felt like I was...

great place for location, service, snorkeling and relaxing. Staff were attentive, attempted to meet all needs. Food is family style and delicious. People came off their boats while we were there for some meals. Great instruction and supervision with snorkeling. Had scuba divers who reported they enjoyed their experience. Our instructors were Patrick Bradley and Alton Sabal. They were friendly,...

Ok, I'm really late posting this review. My husband and i took a trip here in July 2015. We wanted low-key, no fuss, no running around, and basically just some major rest and relaxation. This island was exactly what we were looking for on this trip. I'll give you the run down: 1) I'm not going to lie, travel here...

Very comfortable and clean, though pretty basic (on an isolated island, on a reef, 45 minutes from mainland). One of the few places in Belize with decent snorkelling of the beach. Diving is excellent. There's no dive shop at the resort but mainland operations will pick up from South Water Caye on the way to the outer reef dive sites...

Unless you fly into Dangriga (Pelican is right beside the airport), you're going to want to get here by taxi, but the US $2.50 is worth it. Pelican offers a quiet seaside atmosphere with a great menu and friendly service. The rooms are the cleanest I've seen in Belize, with all the amenities you could ask for. A little pricier...

I have come here 4 times in the past 5 years and have loved it even more each time! Everything here is wonderful and I can not imagine not having the time of your life here! I have come here with my kids and husband, and it was clear our kids (2 girls at the ages of 9 and 12)...

This is one of my favorite all-time spots. I went there on retreat post a two week business conference elsewhere in Belize with the intention of also scouting it for an extended-family experience. I had pin-pointed the area right on the barrier reef as where I wanted to go. I researched the possibilities. It was also appealing that it was...

No matter where else we decide to explore when we visit Belize, one choice is non-negotiable. My husband and I agree that the trip must conclude with a stay on South Water Caye at Pelican Beach. We returned for the fifth time this year, finding our petite paradise in perfect order. Some properties rest on their laurels; here the amazing...
