Everything was excellent.Very elegant and super clean. Beautiful furniture. Delicious breakfast. The owner, Alessia, is very nice and helpful. On the lake with an amazing view. In a few words absolutely perfect and highly recommended for a nice stay.

If like us, the typical tourist consults Google Earth before committing to the booking of accommodation, Spiaggia Amore would be the last place we would consider! We suggest that anyone reading this should take a quick look at the entrance side of this B&B. On the face of it here's a shabby, cluttered and untidy facade on a back street with worn shutters and no parking. Not very prepossessing. This is a wake-up call for providers of accommodation - potential guests can check you out from anywhere in the world before they invest in your offering! Furthermore, SA is very badly signposted and difficult to find. We spent an exasperating long time (not a GPS user!) searching for it with the help of locals. All that aside, we stepped through the mirror and, voilà, another world awaited us. SA is one floor of a building and it's been beautifully fitted out. The sleeping accommodation was first-class (providing you get the owner to close the shutters to block the light of a pesky street-lamp that switches on and off all night). Breakfast was outstanding. The young lady who takes care of breakfast speaks good English and is very helpful. Leading off the dining area is a small balcony for two diners overlooking the lake and seafront boulevard. This long boulevard is pedestrianised and takes one to the old town, the restaurants, the ferry terminal, and many interesting shops. If you're there on a Wednesday (we were) take the ferry across to Luino to see the huge market. That's where the bargain shopping is to be had. All in all, serendipity landed us in this gem of a B&B. We spent a couple of nights at the Spiggia Amore recently, and it was without doubt one of the most stylish B&B's we've stayed in. Our room was spacious and had a great view over Lake Maggiore. The decor was all muted tones and the furnishings shouted 'expensive'. The owners were smiley and helpful. Breakfast was the typical range of cold meats, breads, pastries and cheeses. The location, at the end of Cannobio's the lake-front promenade was just perfect (i.e. slightly away from the bustle). All in all, a fantastic experience (except the weather!) - we hope to return.

This is not a B&B, the design and the quality of the rooms is just like in a boutique hotel. But it is more than that because you can feel that the owners put their heart in this place. The view to the lake is breathtaking. The lake side promenade with the lovely restaurants, the borgo with the medieval buildings and the narrow lanes make you feel like a protagonist of a romantic film. The couple who manages Spiaggia Amore is the loveliest one I met in the last times. This B&B is brand new. Opened in May 2015, completed renovated. The rooms are bright with modern touches and still have the Italian charm. Allessia and Oreste are the owners and they are very friendly and helpful. Amazing stay and price. We will definitely come back.
