Once you step into the hotel it is like going back in time, and there is no reason to change it, it all works. The shower was hot the decor was not great but we slept well,we used the shutters total darkness. There were not many guests due to the time of year, the food was basic, local wine was good and the staff were friendly

Same comments as for many other reviewers. Warm welcome at reception, reasonable rooms which were clean and comfortable. loved the fact that fire was on in the lounge whilst us Brits were walking around in shorts. Had a good lunch and an even better dinner in amongst walking the Camanito and having a super morning mountain biking. Staff in bar and restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

We were a group of 6 people staying at this hotel for one night as part of a motorbike tour. The accommodation is basic but it is perfectly adequate for a 3 star hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. I would not want the hotel to 'upgrade' or update it's furniture/ decor as it is a rural Spanish hotel and that is the hotel's character, (which we loved!) There was plenty of parking at the back of the Hotel and gate locked at night. We had a meal in the restaurant and again the staff were friendly and cheerful. (We were even greeted by a fox and it's cubs who sat in the road on our departure from the restaurant) Breakfast was basic but again, we were not expecting 4/5 star standards and it was adequate for our needs. I would stay at this hotel again and I had no complaints at all. My tip is: do not expect a modern, grand hotel. This is a basic but comfortable hotel.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback and score. We value your comments and strive to improve and look after our guests. I will pass on your comments to the team. I see that our fox Antonio Banderas and its colleagues came down to say hello to you. Foxes come quite often at night around the reservoir and get to the hotel to greet. They are very hospitable as you could see! We are glad to know that you enjoyed the confort of the place with a nice sleep and breakfast. Thanks for staying with us.

After finding this hotel by mistake after walking the Caminito Del Rey we have since returned to this area twice and both times stayed at this hotel. What can I say it just gets better and better! From the lovely helpful reception staff to the food and the spacious comfortable rooms I can not think of anything wrong with the hotel. We stayed for two nights this time and cycled round the local area on hire bikes which were in great condition and really opened the area up to us. We cycled to Ardales village and the receptionist told us about a beautiful look out point called 'Mirador de Tres Embalses' which gave a great view of all 3 lakes and was nice and quiet for a relax. The breakfast was also improved and offered toast with jam and butter as well as tomato, ham and cheese which perfectly set us up for the day and also this was served with freshly squeezed orange juice. The hotel as a whole is so rustic and natural I love the look of the interior and always wish I was spending more time here.... who knows how long we will stay next year haha Overall I have to give it a 10 out of 10, it is an absolute gem and we are so lucky we first stumbled upon this place :)

We stayed here during a motorcycle tour and really enjoyed our time. It's a traditional hotel in a peaceful location with a warm and friendly welcome. We met Pedro running the bar and he took great care of us and was a good laugh. He suggested dining in the restaurant and we had the most amazing lamb dish. The meal was excellent. A good nights sleep and a great breakfast in the morning to set us up for the day and we bid our farewells. Thank you to everyone and a special thanks to Pedro for the great service, friendship and laughs. We would definitely return.
