We recently visited for Sunday carvery. After a quick drink we were called through by a charming waitress who said your table is ready exactly at the time we had booked. The food looked amazing especially a huge turkey, and there were several other meats awaiting to be carved. The turkey was cooked and carved tó perfection by a very... More

I revisited The Langport Arms on the 24th September, in a party of six, we booked the 'La Roche' Restaurant, the food was superb and wonderfully presented, the staff and owners were brilliant they made our night special. I can honestly say this was one of the best meals I have ever had and would highly recommend this restaurant.

At last a Carvery Venue who knows how to cook proper Sunday Roast Beef, lovely and rare, and so tender and melt in the mouth......yum. There was also Roast Turkey on the menu, and not just a crown, a massive whole Turkey so people could have a choice of breast and/or leg. But the four of us chose the Beef,... More

We stayed at the hotel for one Saturday night, thankfully only used it as a base as we were visiting people. The hotel's website and indeed the look of the hotel from the main road makes it look very impressive but sadly it stops there. First of all, there's not really any car parking. That's not mentioned on the website.... More

Good evening and thank you for your review, and your comments are duly noted. We were fully booked last Saturday and you booked the last remaining room which was our disabled wet room with twin beds and not a double as you had hoped to book. Your comment and I quote "with a wall mounted certificate showing it's only a... More

We went there for a Sunday Carvery for the first time. It is quite small, but extremely well organised. We were called to our table exactly on time, by one of several polite and very smart young waiters. Food was unsurpassable. The meat was succulent, and there was a wide range of fresh well cooked vegetables. The counter was constantly... More

We went here for my Dad's 70th birthday celebration and booked their private room for a carvery for around 20 of us. The bar is nice and cosy and looked the kind of place we'd like to hole up on a winter's day. The food was fantastic, probably the best carvery we've had in a very long time. Lots of... More

There is no parking directly next to the hotel but ample parking a very short distance away. The bar/reception area is olde worlde with a very comfortable patio area outside for the warmer weather. The lady on reception was extremely welcoming when we arrived and took us personally to our room. (As this hotel is a little quirky in design... More

A substantial building in the centre of town: bar quiet apart from boring locals. The (large) room was furnished in 1960s style with a cupboard-sized bathroom. The shower didn't work properly and the taps produced black grit. Joy ! The people were friendly however and the food just about OK. Wouldn't return. There must be better nearby.

Thank you for your review, Most Bars, & Pubs in the Uk will have its locals, and regulars, but honestly how bored were you to have to listen to them! This is Langport, in the Heart of rural Somerset, its not a City awash with Bars and night clubs. If you want something lively you need to go to a... More

We stayed in room 7. The mattress was very old and very uncomfortable. The room was cramped and smelt damp. We checked out the next morning and found that we had insect bites on our legs. I don't understand how this hotel has had good reviews in the past as it was awful.

Thank you for your review. I am very sorry you had the problems you encountered. However upon investigating, it was discovered that the radiator was leaking, and yes had caused a slight damp smell to the room. I don't understand about the mattress as these we only replaced very recently throughout the hotel. I do only wish you had mentioned... More
