Penzion U MaMi has an excellent location very close to the old city. Our room was clean and nice, breakfast very good, staff really friendly. They could not grant the free parking slot but when we got there, it was available. Great value for money, so we really recommend it.

Rude owner. Not one change of sheets or towels for 7 days we stayed. Friend has a foot injury and was bed bound one morning so I brought her a plate of food from breakfast to our room. The next morning the owner yelled at me at breakfast in front of all the other guests that plates were not to be in rooms. I explained why I brought it and she cut me off and suddenly couldn’t understand English. We tried to bring our dirty teacups down to exchange ourselves since they don’t clean your rooms and were told to do our own dishes in our sink. Oh the sink is the size of a loaf of bread and has a shelf right over it so you can’t wash your face or brush your teeth. This place is a complete joke . The owner obviously has zero people skills and hates Americans. Don’t ruin your vacation by dealing with this.…

Beware of Penzion u Mami in Trnava. Upon arrival, we were given a different room to the one we had booked. On the Internet they write that 'entire unit is located on ground floor'. In reality we were given a room in the basement with a small window overlooking a staircase and the parking. What is more, the air in the room was strangely warm and felt of moisture. As the room was situated below the ground level, it wouldn't be possible to leave the window open for the night. Asked for another room, the owners said it was impossible. After a while they added that if we didn't like the room, they would return us the money we had already paid. The owners of Penzion u Mami left us with the problem of no accommodation at 9 pm, on a Saturday night. They were not much helpful with solving the problem, and we had to look for accommodation somewhere else. If we had known at the time of making the booking (approx. 2 months ago) that on site we would have been given a room in the basement, then we wouldn't have chosen Penzion u Mami as our accommodation. The owners of Penzion u Mami are cheating people by writing false description of their rooms on the Internet and by hiding information about rooms in the basement they give to tourists. Never ever again any booking at Penzion u Mami in Trnava.…

Located at down town. Plus. Safety parking (free) plus. Good breakfast. And nice cat :) Big minus - room 10 - bad at 80 cm pedestal (very strange and dangerous). More over room at cellar - window overlooks the courtyard bruk - everybody can enter the room at hot night...

Very friendly staff, good location in the historical city center. Big rooms, very quite. Breakfast was basic but ok. Free wifi and surely best value for money. The owner knows good English and you can communicate, ask for info etc.

When we arrived it looks nice, in old town, cathedral in neighborhood, close to city center. Room was clean, nice new bathroom, room quite big with nice view from roof-window. Surprise was noize from other room. We could hear almost every word from next room. I dont know if the walls are so thin but it was litle disturbing. Breakfast meals were good. Also great coffee.

Let me preface this with stating that, over a period of three weeks, we stayed in penzions all over Slovakia. This was the only one that I would, without reservation, warn travelers to avoid. It started badly from the onset. In the middle of the day, we came to the door and nobody would answer it for quite some time. Eventually we were met by a young woman who clearly was annoyed that we were there. She made little attempt to understand what we were saying. We tried to pay in cash with a bill that was certainly not too large. She said that she didn't have cash and told us that we couldn't check in until we found a place to break the bill. This was our first day out of Bratislava, and we were in a totally unfamiliar town. Would she help us by either taking the money and giving us change later (a small amount, by the way) or help us to find a place to get change? No. Once we finally paid for the room, we were directed to Room Number 1. This is right in front, positioned so that you could hear every time the front door or gate to the parking area was opened or closed. OK, not a big deal, but we had booked a long time in advance and expected a better choice. The room was definitely not clean either. But the real problem came when it was clear that the toilet wasn't working properly. When we brought this to the attention of the manager and requested to be moved to another room, we were told that he knew about the broken toilet and to keep trying it; as for changing rooms, he said that the place was sold out. Please note that our stay was in October, the low season. Rude staff, unclean room, noisy location and faulty plumbing: how could this place be reviewed so favorably?…

The location is great- close to the center and still so quite(if you, like me, do not mind the bells from the nearby church). The staff is very friendly: it is a family run business. The spoken languages are English, French, German and Polish. There is free and of very good quality Wi-Fi. The hosts are very kind, always available to help as their house is attached to the guests house, and very flexible: we have arrived quite before lunch time but there was no problem to take our room(which appeared to be a self contained one bedroom apartment of a good size!) The breakfast is what you could expect for such price, but still you have the feeling your mother has prepared the fried bread or strudel!, which I believe one will agree is more than money can buy! In the lobby there are complimentary water, coffee and fruits just pay attention what is time when these extras are offered. We have even negotiated a ride to Bratislava airport and the price was good. If you travel by car there are also few parking places. Overall, we have enjoyed our stay and we warmly recommend it to other business travelers to Trnava.…

The hotel is located in the city center close to all the attraction and includes a private parking. The rooms were small and modest but nice. The price for a family of four, as we were, exceeds the average accommodation price in Slovakia, since we had to reserve to rooms. Yet for a couple that does not look for a luxurious hotel it will be perfect. The breakfast was good as well.
