Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed at hotel 2 weeks (double room I think Lux). Staff were very kind and helped, woman in reception was nice. Room was look like clean, smell good, big bed and clean bathroom. I went to work very early, so was they gave me breakfast package. Last day I had a normal breakfast in restaurant- big choice what you want eat. I had a router in my room so no problem with signal. Good location to centre, 5 minutes to walk, nice square.

The hotel has a great location close to down town. I had the suit room, so it had a separate bedroom with living room. The furniture has seen better days. Bed was clean and comfortable and the room was quiet. It also had a big bathroom with a large hot tub. That would be great but you could not close the water drain, so no bath. There was updated shower and separate toilet with sink. The hotel has an elevator, good Wifi and friendly receptionist. The breakfast was average.

The room was just ok, when suddenly I saw that there was a little house centipede on my pillow. The pillows are thin, the room was very hot and the breakfast was really terrible. Surely won't visit this hotel again...

Hotel very poor and low level, how can be 3 stars I don't know. Rooms very little, no hairdryer, no shower, wifi is not working, on the tv only two channels visible . The room was not cleaned. Breakfast very very poor. Very bad experience I'll never go again, was the first and last time.

I had to pay almost €100 for a room that was clean but was very poor. Lights are superbright white LED or Energy Saver lamps. It has a special bubble bath but it did not work. Also there was a shower head but nowhere to attach it to the wall. Because the shower head was part if the bath unit there was no water coming out. So no shower possible. Then I wanted to wash myself at the sink, but the water was not very warm. Bed is ok but pillows are very thin. Room had a baby crib inside which is very strange to me. Fan in the bathroom made a lot of noise. No light in the hallway unless you press a button but the button is not lit so impossible to find. Restaurant is impossible to find due to labyrinth of hallways. Interesting what will happen if there would be a fire. Breakfast is minimal but ok.

I have been comming to Hotel Barbakan for almost 3 years. Allways apreciated friendly receptionists who everytine made all I asked for and in fact are the only reason whay would come again. Plus - Rooms are clean and fitted with modern yet simple furniture, minibar at reasonable cost, central location. Minus- Breakfast is basicaly the reason whay most of my colegues migrated to other more expensive hotels in thetown. Gastronomie in general is a problem at Barbacan despite they have lot of space. For some reason just fail to attract the custommers from the hotel and also from the street.
