I have to go to St Asaph on business a couple of times a year. Along with the people I work with, I stay at The Oriel. The service is always excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very good. My friend was lucky enough to stay in the Indonesia suite, which has a four poster...

When you first arrive at this questionable 4* Hotel, the initial reception area looks nice. Along with a conservatory area, but once you go further into the hotel you really do have to question just how this has got it 4*. The Decor of the hotel is far from clean, the cleaning of the rooms are very questionable , the...

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this so called 4* hotel on a Shearings holiday There was loads of dead flies on the window ledge, dried what looked like milk stains on the table. In the bathroom stuck on the side of the bath was a big dollop of hair and hair on the floor by the side...

We have just spent a very pleasant overnight stay, and wished we had booked for another night. The hotel is in a very nice setting, with a neat garden, and colourful planting around the patio area - very nice to sit out and have a drink in the sunshine. Our room was spacious, and clean, and the shower was powerful...

From the spa to the reception and bar staff everybody was very helpful friendly and it was nice to see people doing their jobs with a smile. We only had...

The hotel itself is nice, good restaurant with pleasant meals. The rooms are a bit tired, in need of refurbishment. There was a leak in the roof in the corridor near my room and it smelled a bit damp as a result. The hotel is next to a reasonably busy road so bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Was a very nice, clean, hotel for our over night stay after climbing Snowdon. We arrived late afternoon and booked our evening meal for 7:45, which was a very nice room and the meal was excellent as was the service.

I stayed at the Oriel Country Hotel as part of a Groupon deal. For the price paid it was perfectly adequate but nothing more than that. The food was a particular highlight and I would recommend eating here. Cleanliness in the room could have been a lot better as I noticed a huge strand of dust hanging from the wall...

Stayed here on business trip, and it's been a while since my last visit. Thankfully not much has changed, warm welcome and staff very friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating is really relaxing and was a nice warm morning sitting there, equally I could see myself sitting there wrapped up in winter with a nice hot drink! Had a really...
