Lovely B&B. We got a nice big room. Coffee tea facilities outside room on landing. Breakfast was good and the host leaves out foil so you can wrap up one of the lovely scones to take away! Also USB sockets in the bedroom for phone charging.
Stayed here in May 2022 for a night on business. Mary is such a warm and helpful host and couldn't have done more. Beverages, wi-fi great facilities and very close to the village also where I got a great meal and caught up on some work. I will definitely be returning in the future if not for work then for a night away with my better half. It really is a home away from home and is very relaxing. Couldn't recommend enough!
Stayed for 2 nights. Received a warm welcome by the host on arrival with tea and coffee made for us. The room was clean and well sized. Breakfast nice and a good portion. We stayed in winter so was dark in the evenings. It's 5-10 minutes walk into the village and not well lit by street lights so be aware if you are staying in the darker months. One improvement would be a bigger bed, was just a standard double but plenty of space in the room for a bigger bed.
Nympsfield House was absolutely fantastic with a genuine lovely Irish host who made our stay so welcoming. Mary certainly is one of the nicest people you could meet, so helpful and cares about the comfort of her guests. We had a lovely 2 night stay (not long enough) & couldn't have picked a better B&B in Cong. Room was spacious, airy and had plenty of storage space, our own ensuite was perfect. We enjoyed a very peaceful night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was 1st class, so much choice, tea scones to die for and having a cooked breakfast every morning was great and set us up for the day as it was a cycling holiday for us. Location of Nymphsfield House couldn't be better, lovely cycle or walk into the stunning village of Cong, and all its attractions. We were so close also to the entrance of Ashford Castle and enjoyed the gardens around the castle. We cycled many beautiful routes in Co Mayo and especially loved Lough Mask and lough Corrib, breathtaking. But it was our host Mary who made our trip so special at Nymphsfield house and thank you so much for having us, until next time. Jimmy and Carmel ( Derry)…

This is a really pleasant place to stay! My room was so comfortable. Mary is a great host. I was particularly impressed with the breakfast; along with a comprehensive fry she offered a lovely selection of fruit, nuts and seeds - four or five star fare! Well done. I’ll be back!
Cong is one of our favorite villages in Ireland, and Mary Hynes is one of our favorite B&B owners. Nymphsfield House is located just two minutes outside the village, near the entrance to Ashford Castle. Save yourself a few thousand dollars per night and stay with Mary. Her rooms are clean and comfortable, her breakfasts are made to order, and Mary is a delight.
Mary was fantastic! We were very impressed with the room. She offered to make tea and when she brought it to us she included cookies which made us feel very welcomed. Would definitely stay there again!
I would most definitely recommend to anybody to stay at Nymphsfield House to visit the Village of Cong or and the region of Connemara,Mary is a remarquable and absolutely wonderful hostess, she makes you feel really at home, the room is spacious, the shower facility is within the room, you can also enjoy a bit of TV after a long nice walk in the village or the Cong forest nearby.Reaching the centre of the village is only 5 minutes walk. you also get free wifi.Mary welcomes you with a nice cup of tea or coffee on the day of your arrival, let's not forget the amazing and hearty breakfast that you will amazingly enjoy in the morning. you will also sleep like a log in those amazing comfortable beds. if you are lost of ideas to visit, lost for ideas to enjoy your day, Mary may also advise you on the best things to do in Cong or in the region, you will absolutely enjoy, appreciate and never forget your lovely stay at Nymphsfield house. So GO!!! to Nymphsfield House in Cong Don't hesitate a second!!!…
Situated just outside the pretty village of Cong. An ideal location for exploring the area including Ashford Castle and grounds and the location for the film ' The Quiet Man ' The owner Mary was very welcoming and helpful. In particular she advised us to go early to Ashford Castle grounds and enter via the fish lodge behind the Abbey to avoid the payment levied to deter casual visitors. The room was spacious and comfortable with a quiets night sleep. Ensuite clean and powerful shower. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Sitting area on the landing for tea coffee and biscuits. WiFi worked well . On site parking.
