I booked a table in Lydons with my boyfriend midweek. We started with drinks and had a three course meal. The food was second to none - a generous portion of mussels to start. My boyfriend had the steak which was cooked perfectly and was the nicest steak he had ever eaten. The cocktails were very reasonably priced and were delicious - same as the pints! The staff were friendly and chatty and we felt really well looked after. In terms of covid regulations, the tables were very well spaced out but there was still a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place for food and drinks

Very good Experience here! We were seated outdoors due to Covid. The outdoor area was done up beautifully and was completely sheltered from both wind and rain! The food was beautiful and was served quickly. The manager was extremely welcoming and above all he was great craic! Felt very welcomed and appreciated. Will definitely be recommending and returning!

This was in an excellent location as we wanted to stay in the Village of Cong. We had a large airy bedroom, comfortable bed and a recently refurbished bathroom with a large walk in shower. The breakfast was great quality, with a choice that all visitors would be happy with. The management team and all the staff were lovely. It has live evening musical entertainment in the bar at the weekends through the season which was enjoyed by guests and locals alike. The hotel restaurant is open for lunch and dinner so you don’t really have to go anywhere else as the food is excellent. However, if you need to be up early and are a light sleeper take some earplugs as the music and audience can be quite loud and on until 1 or 2 in the morning at the weekends.

The room -furniture is old fashioned, the carpet with stamps and we couldn't sleep as there was music and noise from the restaurant till late in the night. The next morning the view from our window was the bags with garbage from the previous night.The breakfast nothing special at all.

Pub had good food and service, excellent breakfast options. Room a bit dated but very comfortable. Excellent bed. If you are a light sleeper, Room 23 may not be ideal for you as it overlooks the terrace and can be a bit noisy.

Stayed with friends for 3 nights, accommodation was brilliant - spacious room and bathroom, room serviced every day; breakfast had great choice and was delicious; staff friendly and helpful, with excellent service; evening meals were excellent - good portions and delicious; and the Guinness was 'like sweet milk'....smooth, cold, perfect. A perfect location, and can't recommend highly enough. 10/10

I very rarely say this but Wow! For a small hotel, it was just perfect in every sense. Staff were all courteous and nothing was to much trouble. Food was fabulous. Breakfast and dinner. We had planned to dine elsewhere just to try different places but the atmosphere, staff and food were just to good. Our room was very spacious ( room14). Quiet. Location wise also perfect. 20 min walk from Ashford castle and many hiking trails around. Stunning location, great food and service.

Stayed at Lydons Lodge & it was Fantastic, the food & standard of the accommodation were excellent + the staff were really great & helpful, they could not do enough to make our stay so enjoyable. The new design & lay out are fantastic, well done to everybody. You are guaranteed a great stay !!!

We had our wedding in Lydons this weekend with 115 guests. We also had our day 2 barbecue there as well and to say the weekend was flawless would be an understatement. Staff 100%, food 100%, atmosphere 1,000%! Couldn’t fault them in any area. All of our guests were amazed with the venue. Olga and Stephen were a godsend to work with. I wouldn’t be great at event planning but Olga took control and directed me at ever turn. She made the decisions when I couldn’t. For any future brides that feel overwhelmed, lost or unsure, Lydons is the place for you. Olga in particular will put you at easy and guide you through the process. They also went above and beyond with any children involved. They are the best example of a family run business. If I could give this place 20/10 I would. I couldn’t speak higher of them and the staff. PHENOMENAL ❤️

Stayed for the weekend with the golf society 12 of us and had a brilliant time. Food was first class from breakfast to dinner, staff and owners so polite was amazing. Thank you for the experience. Will be back with my missus for another weekend shortly.
