We had a fabulous stay at Ryans Hotel. I stayed here with family attending a Wedding at the Ashford Lodge. The owner made us feel extremely welcome and appreciated. He was very friendly and went out of his own way to make our stay extra special. I have never receieved such good service from any hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, from giving us complimentary car lifts to our wedding venue (before we had even enquired about taxis etc), pouring endless teas and coffees in the morning and ensuring we had enough food at breakfast and dinner! The food was lovely and had a nice relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were very spacious and very very clean. They have been modernised recently. The shower was excellent with great power and lots of hot water. I was worried about noise being so central but that was not an issue. The dining room was full of people as it is so popular. The girls behind the bar were extremely friendly and funny! We had forgotten cream in the shower and was able to collect it 2 days later. Fantastic trip. I would highly recommend and I would 100% stay here again. The prices of pints and food was very reasonable especially when comparing it to the lodge/castle! They even had a hot water bottle beside the kettle for those who like extra heat. They also provided a decent hairdryer and iron!…
Stayed here recently when attending a wedding at the Ashford lodge, could not fault it. The rooms were spacious (the photos do not do them justice) and spotless. The nicest touch in the room was the provided hot water bottle, perfect for cold evenings during the stay. The bar next door is attached with a back walkway through the hotel, perfect for some food and drinks. Breakfast was also standard but delicious with calming music, perfect first thing in the morning. Additionally the owner kindly offered to drive us from the hotel to the Ashford lodge to save the long walk in heels during the wedding. Couldn’t fault the stay and would recommend to anyone attending a wedding in the area, great value for money.
The room was clean, comfortable and had a street-view. Parking available on-site. Linked to the hotel was Crowes Nest Bar and Bistro. Dinner at the bar and the following morning's breakfast served at the accommodation was delicious! A great stopover!
Absolutely fantastic, Room was very spacious and spotless. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was superb, Guinness was like mothers milk. Dennis has a wealth of knowledge and plenty of stories which you could listen to all day long. Hotel is in walking distance of everything. We'll definitely be returning.
Stayed here for one night while travelling around. Looked after from check-in by Dennis to check-out by Brigid. Dennis was very polite and a wealth of local knowledge. Service in the restaurant and bar was prompt and efficient with good quality food and reasonably priced, Guinness was good also. Room was spacey and spotless
My friend and I stayed in Ryans hotel Cong for one night in July. We could not recommend this highly enough, from the friendly welcome, the banter, beautiful rooms and food and top class service and great value. It is well worth a visit to eat, drink or sleep.
Visited beautiful Cong today with my mother. First trip post lockdown Decided after a long drive to eat at Ryan’s, Crows Nest. Ordered the special - pulled pork with a red onion Marmalade on cibata with chips - and side salad. Very disappointing that this was the best they could manage after over 1 year closed. It was basically red onion on bread with small amounts of shredded pork. The pork was pulled -OFF my meal. Served with a few salad leaves and frozen cooked chips. Terrible. The fish and chips my mother got was poor also at €16. Small amount of breaded plaice and frozen cooked chips with pitiful salad on the side. Come on Ryan’s you surely can do better. Told head waiter. Not very concerned. Not going back.
We stayed here for one night of a week long tour of the wild Atlantic Way. Rooms are spotless and well serviced, beds a little on the small side ( not a moan, just for generally information) Excellent adherence to Covid-19 guidelines. The breakfast service was super, all buffet items individually packaged. Would stay again of back in the area.
We were passing threw Cong on July 1st, and decided to stay. We stayed in this lovely hotel on the Main Street, rooms were spotless! We also then ate on the outside patio, which was beautiful and staff were lovely! Breakfast was also included in our stay and there was a great selection on the buffet table following all new guidelines. All in all I would definitely stay again.
We stayed at Ryan’s Hotel in Cong with our family. We got two rooms as there are five of us. Michael and everyone else we met there were very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The Irish breakfast was wonderful, he even made special breakfasts for our kids (one has Celiac and another is allergic to tree nuts). We would definitely recommend this lovely hotel!
