We stayed her 1 night during our 2 day Mekong Cruise with Luang Say. We loved the cruise - only 15 passengers on a boat that takes max 40 people - so it was very nice. The over night at this lodge was a nice add to the charm of the cruise. The atmosphere is nice, the cabins are well...

This was the stopover provided in our Luang Say, Mekong package trip from Luang Prabang to Chiang Khong and owned by the same company. It is little upstream from the town of Pakbeng. The Lodge is very attractive collection of individual wooden bungalows around a central dining/reception area stretched along the bank of the Mekong. In November we had dry days...

We wound up here for an overnight stay by taking the "upscale" Luang Say cruise upriver from Luang Probang to Houei Say. The hotel is reached by climbing up a steep hillside from the beachhead boat landing. The staff was insufficient to deal with the 32 people from the boat. The buffet dinner was bland and overcooked. We had to...

Dear Nala S, Thank you for sharing your comments. We are sorry to learn that you were disappointed with your experience on our cruise. Unfortunately we do not assign seats on our boat, so that guests are free to sit wherever they want. However our boat is fit to welcome 40 passengers to sit comfortably. We pride in using the...

This lodge looks over the Mekong river and is often used by people staying overnight when on the two day trip along this part of the river. It is comfortable, the food is good and there is a nice pleasant atmosphere. Although a simple lodge the staff do all they can to make the visit happy and comfortable. There is...

We arrived at yes its quite a walk to this hotel but its rustic and unusual and quirky. The wifi signal is poor but I was quite surprised there was one! No air con and the bathroom smelt very bad.. but the balcony was large (shared with next door) and we saw the elephants washing in the morning (sadly not...

We took a two-day Mekong River cruise from Houayxay (near Thai border) to Luang Prabang and stayed at this lodge overnight (about half way through the trip). The cruise was about 6-7 hours each day on a slow long boat. There were about 20 guests on the boat with us. La, our English-speaking boat guide, was very enjoyable. Service on...

Our downstream 2 day cruise in Laos was a highlight of our SE Asia trip. 26 passengers (6 English , 8 French and 12 German speaking). The bilingual guides were informative, attentive, and friendly. Our English speaking guide's nickname was La. Perfect weather, comfortable seating, plentiful food and drink. The river life and scenery was majestic. The stops at local...

Our stay at this lodge was magical! It is on the Mekong river after a one day trip by long boat. The main lodge for dining is spectacular and the cottages very very sweet! I love the. Beautiful rooms with the romantic mosquito nets over the bed! They even supply mosquito repellent for the evening bugs, but we never found...
