Likewise, you can visit the incredible Blue Caves of Zakynthos and see how the water reflects and shimmers on the white walls of these limestone caves. Families will enjoy a visit to the Greek National Marine Park in the southwest, which is one of Greece’s main nesting areas for the loggerhead sea turtle, commonly known as Caretta Caretta. Zante's natural landscape offers endless possibilities for exploration, consisting of pristine beaches, lush olive groves, verdant hills and abundant vineyards. Τhe Capital of Zakynthos is only 8km away from the resort and is definitely worth a visit whilst on holiday, easy accessible by either public transport or hired car. Likewise, the recently totally renovated International Airport of Zante is only 12km away. It goes without saying that you should most certainly visit the 2nd most photographed beach in the world, the famous Navagio beach or Shipwreck beach (“Navagio” in Greek, also found as “Smuggler’s Cove”), other Zante’s renowned beaches and local tavernas or the neighboring village of Tsilivi.

This was a last minute choice as we were due to go to Mallorca and had to swap to whatever was left in Greece via tui.

The restaurant and bar staff work incredibly hard and do long hours but are always polite. The pool bar staff are very efficient however around the pool service was a bit patchy but when they came round to take orders they were quick. The blonde lady at the cocktail bar remembered our drinks choice and was always friendly.
The food was edible nothing amazing but the drinks were vile you won’t get drunk on them that’s for sure.
The fresh waffles at breakfast were probably the best thing, for lunch and dinner there was variations of meat or fish in sauce and fresh salad. Nothing was boiling hot. Desserts were hit and miss but generally ok. Ice cream at the pool bar was included as was the pool snack bar for toasties burgers and hotdogs.
Like other reviewers we had issues with the air con in our room. The first night it took going to reception 3 times before they gave us a fan as they were fobbing us off for some unknown reason.
Similar to the review below we had a problem with the door although we were in a different room. On our last day we came back from breakfast and couldn’t get back into our room which caused panic as we had to check out. Someone from reception came to unlock it and said a maintenance man was coming to fix it but didn’t before we left so we felt safer staying in the room before checking out rather than risk it happening again.
The infinity pool next to the children’s pool has a very loose ladder, I did not feel safe using it and it needs to be made secure.
The location is very isolated so taxis to tsivilli were used to go to restaurants and there are tourist shops and mini golf there. Taxi drivers are friendly but it’s like a white knuckle ride each time as they all go too fast whilst on their phones barely looking at the road!

Overall it was nice to get away and the hotel is doing the best they can with corona. They take the mask wearing seriously and provide guests with masks and sanitizer.

I wouldn’t return as it’s not my sort of place usually but they are doing a good job with all things considered.

Dear Cookiefire, Thank you for taking the time to post your review and for choosing us for your vacations. We have noted with great concern your negative points raised and be sure my team and myself going to take immediate actions where improvements needed. The fact you did not score us with a satisfying score is something we will take really seriously, as we consider our guest’s criticism highly important, and try harder to provide delivering excellent service standards for all our guests, throughout the season. However we feel pleased to read your positive feedback and we do appreciate it. We hope to give us more opportunities in the future, and visit us again so we can prove to you we can serve you better. Respectfully yours, Georgios Iliopoulos

We’ve just returned from a week’s stay and upon reflection of our stay it had both good and bad points.
The rooms as comfortable, standard but comfortable. I don’t think it should have a 5 star rating as I think the overall hotel in general such as the lobby, reception, main restaurant and rooms desperately need updating if they’re to state it’s a 5 star resort.

Can’t fault the cleanliness, the maintenance staff are constantly around the pool and hotel cleaning but be wary of slippery floors both inside the hotel and around the pool. Although cleaning isn’t a fault but be mindful of wet floors throughout the day, luckily we didn’t have an accident but we came very close on numerous occasions.

The pool areas are kept immaculately clean with the maintenance staff out at first light cleaning all areas, floors, beds, tables etc which was pleasing to see.

The food in general was ok and a good selection and variety available. They had themed nights each night but we struggled to find anything that we could say was really tasty or wanted more and my eldest son who is 14 and has an adults appetite was somethings rudely ignored by the serving staff at the main food stations which was a reoccurring problem night after night that became very annoying. I can only describe a rude attitude towards him which I witnessed when watching him trying to be served and sometimes blanked and ignored when he approached the serving station. I got the impression children don’t’ matter. Not impressed at all, when you pay all inclusive you don’t expect issues with actually accessing food or drinks!!

The pool staff cannot do enough, they’re lovely and extremely attentive and the entertainment team were consistently bringing their fun and energetic personalities each day with daily aqua aerobics, table tennis etc.

Lovely touches during our trip included the pianist and the singing duo on the beach as part of the nighttime entertainment.

Sadly I very much doubt we will return but if you’re looking for a typical 3/4 star break with a sea view and great weather then this is for you.

We were here for 2 weeks the start of August.

Upon arrival at hotel our suitcases were disinfected and our temperatures were taken before entry in to the hotel.

We were in the main building which I did request.
Unfortunately as we were returning guests, It would have been nice to have been upgraded to a sea view or even wine/fruit in the room as we have had at other places. I have noticed from reviews that other non returning guests were upgraded and the hotel did know prior that we were returning.

The hotel does have strict COVID measures and your temp is taken at every visit to the restaurant, you also have gloves, gel and a mask in your room. There are reminders about social distancing and there are also hand sanitizers around too.

The sun beds have been moved further apart for social distancing. Any towels reserving sun beds before 10 will be removed from the sun beds from Rimi the Lifeguard. He is only doing his job, we did see a few guests arguing with him.
Most people them got up early for breakfast and then went to the sun beds, by 8.30 most around the pools were full, but there are others at the water slides and olive trees.
You are only allowed rubber rings for children only in the pools.

The water slides were fun, for adults as well as our child. The only thing I would say though is that the slippery hill to the slides can get very hot and slippy, the green carpet type grass would be better here

The food in the restaurant was good and you still help yourself to soups, salads and deserts. The chefs serve you the hot food from the buffet, this worked well though.
They even have staff who man the coffee/tea machine and the juice in the morning. Masks to be worn at the buffet.
We did once see someone turned away at dinner for his dress wear, basically his day clothes, this did not happen enough though we did see a few come up from a day at the pool to go to the restaurant and many still got in who weren’t dressed appropriately.

The snack bar also does burgers, hot dogs, chips, pasta and fruit.

There is plenty to choose from on the all inclusive drinks menu.
Disappointing at the Olivia Bar in the evening that it is throw away plastic glasses. Table service not good in the evening at Olivia Bar, although the day table service and evening in the main bar was really good.

The hotel also does a Happy Hour every morning from 11.30 and does milk shakes, smoothies, cocktails, souvlaki and donuts which is a nice treat.

There are a lot of good staff here, especially Anna, Magda, Leonidas, Andreas and Rimi.
George the Manager is often seen in and around the hotel and misses nothing.
Really missed Stavros this year, I believe he is doing his Army Service.

Although I realise these are different times just now, the Entertainment was awful.
They were very poor and often things were always very late too.
When we were there 2 years ago the Entertainment Team were fantastic.

We had a great time here again and although the hotel was busy, we did feel safe and would definitely come back again.

We stayed for 2 weeks on arrival our luggage was disinfected and out temperatures were taken. All the staff are extremely polite & helpful and work so hard. There is always a warm welcome to the restaurant from the lovely Chryssa who always took time to speak. The selection of food is always good and efficient drink service and Penos was also very friendly and helpful. Masks & gloves had to be worn whilst moving around the restaurant. Always plenty of sun beds around the pool or next to the sea which could not be reserved before 10.00 and if they were the lifeguard would remove the towels! And rightly so. Towels for the pool are provided and can be exchanged 3 times per week. The very trendy manager regularly patrols the resort to make sure everything is ok he is also very polite & friendly. The cleanliness of the rooms is brilliant and are cleaned ever other day. There are activities through the day aqua fit is a must! Mini disco for the kids in the evening and twice a week music on the beach. There is a supermarket nearby but we found we really didn’t need to leave the resort. The pools and views were fab, the kids pool was ideal for our 9 month old grandson and we also bought a paddling pool so he could play in the shade. Me and my husband have already booked to go back next August.

We visited as 2 friends, desperately needing a few days to relax and soak up the sun before a new terms teaching . All of our expectations were exceeded at Atlantica Eleon Grand .

The setting is beautiful with the main resterant overlooking the pools and out to the ocean. Each day had a different theme to the main meals with a vast selection of salads in addition also changing each day (all DELICIOUS)! The resterant was kept exceptionally clean and foods topped up continuously so you never felt you were getting the leftovers even if you chose to eat late .

Staff in all areas of the hotel, resterant a & bars were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and ensure you really felt like you were on holiday and not to lift a finger . We had a couple of minor issues (a faulty plug and a cleaner accidentally threw away contact lense equipment) BUT again hotel staff acted instantly and sincerely to rectify.

The pools were clean and plenty of space . The entertainment wasn’t our thing but having the beach on the hotel doorstep suited us perfectly . There was no more than 6 people on the beach with us the whole time we were there and service to our sunloungers (absolute bliss)

We felt so much safer with regards to COVID here than in the UK, all guests required to wear masks indoors and outside at bars. Gloves require at the buffet . Staff also wore masks and gloves at all times plus on-site testing available

The spa is fab, I also enjoyed a great 25 min massage for only £20 , highly recommended.

Reception staff assisted us to book a snorkelling tour which was great and had great advice about where to visit (and where to avoid ) which was much appreciated.

Our room was in the gardens, a short walk from the main hotel but this meant it was peaceful and quiet and a change of scene when needed. Very clean and tidy, firm but comfortable bed , so big that the extra sofa bed wasn’t used (this may not have been so comfy)!

If only we could have stayed longer! I will be returning with my family in the future .

Thank you Eleon Grand, we are refreshed, recharged and ready for a new term at work!

PS. The hotels kitten really made our stay, a hilarious mischief, we will miss him!

Dear Jess R, We would like to thank you for your inspiring feedback and for the time you took to review our resort with a five star rating. We are so proud to hear that we have managed to exceed all of your expectations! To start with, we are indeed delighted that you found the hotel to be beautiful and extremely clean, with rooms amongst lush gardens, in peace and quiet. In addition, we are extremely happy that our dedicated team managed to whisk you away into a world of utter fun and relaxation, always eager and helpful to offer you a drink to your hand by your sunbed or to suggest a diving tour with our experienced partners! Please rest assured that your kind words will be passed over to them. Moreover, it is so good to know that you managed to unwind by our accredited Blue flag beach - this international certification proves that the beach meets 32 criteria relating to the environment, safety and accessibility - and be fond of the epic Ionian sea scenery. This hotel was billed as 4* plus so I was expecting it to be pretty good but I really wasn't that impressed. For a start, the pictures make it look spacious but most of it is quite compact and on top of each other. The beach is more like a sandpit its so small. There are not any sunbeds on it. There were frequent weddings throughout our stay and one bride was in tears when she saw where she was going to be married (on the breach) and the fact that she had to walk by the pool and burger hut to get there, with all the sunbathers in their swimwear gawking at her.

There does seem to be a wide choice of food but after a few days, it's just meat in a sauce and it got very boring eating the same kind of thing day in and day out. There are no other restaurants on site so it was very repetitive going to the same place to eat 3 times a day.

The location is a bit out of the way too, the nearest small town with shops, bars and restaurants was a 10 minute taxi ride away.

The rooms are in small double storey blocks within large grounds. We were upgraded to one with a pool but it was so cold we never went in it. The room itself was fine but it took four days for them to come and change a lightbulb above the only mirror in the room and one on the bedside. The most annoying thing was the cockeral located very near to our room (and many others) which made a racket from sunup to sundown and interfered with my sleep.

The general maintenance of the hotel was poor but many things could be fixed

Dear Judith, Thank you for choosing our hotel premises for your summer vacations. We feel sorry and concerned for not managing meeting your holiday standards, however we are really grateful for your time sharing posting your experience, as the feedback of our guests is very important to us. With your view of our hotel different than you expected I cannot answer otherwise than to emphasize that everyone's view is individual, and so far we have had many guests each season who found exactly what they saw in the photos of our website. Nevertheless, and on behalf of our team, please accept our apology for not being able to exceed your expectations due to the incident with your room allocation, even if our team offered you a room upgrade with a private – not heated as advertised - pool. The fact that the hotel is away from the settlement is actually in most cases the reason for the visit of many of our guests, as it offers quiet and relaxing holidays. Furthermore our resort offers everything you need for your inside stay, and your personal choice is to visit the surrounding places outside of it. We all wish our guests to be happy and even though we do not claim that our hotel is faultless, we can guarantee that we work daily towards perfection. It is only by listening to you - our guests - that we can achieve that. With Appreciation, Georgios Iliopoulos Hotel Manager

We stayed at the Atlantica Eleon For October half term, as family of 3 with our 11 year old son.
We were impressed with the hotel and the Covid 19 protocols that were in place.

Hotel - The hotel was clean and its grounds were well kept, the staff work extremely hard day and night and nothing was too much trouble and they were always friendly and pleasant. The hotel has a 5* platinum rating from Tui. To be honest I would class it as 4* plus because of the amenities it has to offer such as: Gym, sauna, spa, mini market indoor/outdoor restaurant. Obviously due to Covid and the time of year we chose to go, we were not able to use some of the facilities the hotel had to offer.

Food/Drinks: We stayed here a week and my son and Hubby can be very fussy and always managed to find something to eat. We never had any issues with the food at all, there was always a good variety and it always tasted good too.
I will say that the guy who served the meat was a little grumpy and only gave one slice each night, maybe he is told to do this who knows?
Drinks were standard AI and nothing to complain about, however some of the soft drinks had an acquired taste.

Rooms: We had a double room with an extra bed in for our son. The room was plenty big enough for us all and the decor was clean and fresh. We thought that maybe the furniture in the room was a little tired and would benefit from some being replaced. We found the beds extremely comfortable and the tea/coffee, mini fridge and safe in the room were a bonus.

Evening Entertainment: This was Ok and noticed lots of little ones enjoying the mini disco. I'm sure the entertainment was a little different, due to being the end of season and being indoors due to the colder weather. I would like to think in the summer months when the outdoor entertainment area is used there may be a more varied evening entertainment programme.
Daytime entertainment: Our son enjoyed the daytime entertainment programme and the staff work really hard to get all the children involved in the different activities.

Pool areas: There are lots of different pools which were all clean and the areas around them were well kept. The slide pool was lots of fun for the children and the adults and once in the water it actually didn't feel that cold!
The only thing I would like to see different would bean extra toilet block closer to the slide pool for people to use.
Pool snack bar: A big shout out to the staff who worked in the pool/snack bar, how they put up with those wasps all day I will never know! Food and drinks here were tasty and staff work extremely hard.

Mini market: We felt that the onsite mini market did not have a lot of choice and was a little expensive.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our week away at Atlantica Eleon and found it to be a lovely relaxing break for a reasonable price.

We stayed for 10 days during the school holidays. Arrived in the evening, and they had a plate of food waiting for each of us containing a variety of meat, fish and chicken dishes served with chips and salad.
We were given two garden rooms which were nice but located right behind the Children’s entertainment/disco stage. The disco was only in the early evening but the bar/games area music and lights were on as soon as it’s dark so unless you like arcade games/lights on your holidays, it was no good.
We asked to move rooms the next day but they couldn’t accommodate us straight away and when they moved us, we were given ‘adjoining superior rooms’ but in the main building where everyone in the restaurant can stare in. The room also clearly needed a refresh as the bathroom was terrible. So we moved again.
This time, back to the garden rooms facing the other direction where we spent the rest of our holiday happy. The rooms were very nice - generous wardrobe and storage, quiet and nicely furnished patio next to lemon and olive trees. The beds were comfy, bathroom well appointed and there’s a mini fridge in each room. They also provided a mask, gloves and sanitiser pack which you must use in the dining room when getting food from the buffet.
Food and drinks in the hotel were very good, varied and plentiful. They even have waiter service in the loungers for beer, cocktails and coffee, and you can get smoothies/kebabs/fruit salads, etc. as snacks throughout the day near the pool while you’re sunbathing. No scrambling for loungers either as they’re sprawled over the pool and garden area so it’s easy to socially distance. The hotel had good covid protocols and we felt safe during our stay.
The manager Sofie, guest relations Vasia and the lady in Reception were all very good but try to avoid any of the gents who were surly and not particularly helpful. We know when we’re being given lip service!

Myself and family had a really lovely week away staying at the Atlantica Eleon resort in August, the staff we're all really friendly and willing to help with any needs we required, the hotel itself is situated in a nice quiet area and is full of lovely green verdant plants which add to it's tranquil charm.
We found the rooms clean and spacious with plenty of storage for all our belongings and free use of a security box (unlike many Spanish hotels that seem to think this is a chargeable extra)
The food i found was of good quality and very varied throughout our week with the highlight being Ionian night on our last evening where chef showcased great Greek food full of flavour. The Greek mushroom pie and giant bean stew were super tasty.
The pool area is kept as clean as possible and the loungers around them are cleaned every morning prior to use.
Overall we had a lovely time here, but if i do need to put a few negatives in only to improve guest satisfaction they are:-
1, change the fruit juice on offer as it has quite a synthetic taste and not very appealing.
2. Perhaps enforce the no reserving of sunbeds before 10 am rule a bit more sternly as it was very hard to get one after 8 am when i went down to sit and read my book, and on overhearing conversations other guests would lay them out at 7 and go back to bed .
P.S please thank chef for giving me the recipe for the giant bean stew, i look forward to making it for myself.

We had booked a sea view room and upon arrival was upgraded to a suite. In a way I would like to have seen the sea view room that we were supposed to be in as the suite albeit roomy it was dark and on the ground floor overlooking the pool and a part of the sea. Like previous reviews the room was tired and needed some deep cleaning.
We found the hotel accommodated more for families and found it too noisy for us. There was no escape from the noise during the day if the animation team were not playing water volleyball or aqua aerobics the music was still thumping in between the games.
The evening entertainment was over the other side of the hotel where the garden accommodation is. We tried it one evening to find you had to drink out of plastic throw away cups which is not for us so never went back there again. We can understand plastic cups round the pool areas but in saying that at night you could drink by the pool out of a glass. The only entertainment that was low key is where we used to drink in the bar area there was a lady singer once a week.
We found the food quite good there was something for everyone.
We also ate at the Alacarte restaurant and found the food really nice.
Albeit about the negatives we cannot fault the staff at this hotel they were friendly and professional and a credit to the hotel.
We liked the location of the hotel if you go down to the hotels beach and turn left and follow the road about a 20 min walk to a nice quiet beach and a really nice taverna where we had a good lunch. Or walk out the front of the hotel up to the main road turn left about a 15 min walk there is a large supermarket on the right, opposite that is a road that goes down to a beach with two really nice tavernas. We had lunch and dinner there and would recommend.
This may sound all a bit negative but all in all we had a really nice holiday. The staff really looked after us. You can always find fault in something; we would rate the hotel as a 4 star.

Dear eve32, We are so glad to see that you overall had a really nice holiday at Atlantica Eleon Grand Resort and you cherished the resort's location amidst the lush gardens and the olive grove, gazing over the enchanting Ionian Sea right in front of the resort. In addition, it is so good to know that you savored our Chef's and his team delicacies, as they try really hard to provide to our guests just a glimpse of the freshness and the plethora of flavors that Mediterranean cuisine has to offer. Neromylos seaside ala carte restaurant is indeed the crown jewel, providing authentic mouthwatering dishes accompanied by indigenous wine varieties, while the sea waves seem to whisper to you... Last but not least, it is so rewarding that you speak highly of our hard working but courteous team members that work tirelessly in order to look after our guests and keep them relaxed and carefree. They all surely deserve an applause! We surely cannot wait to have the opportunity to accommodate you again in the future at the captivating island of Zakynthos! Kind regards, Apostolos Ioannidis Resort Manager
