I had read a lot of reviews about the resort before visiting Dec 17 -24 2016, so I was prepared for the vast size. We ended up in building 20, a long way from the beach and pool. However, the room was beautiful (2 bedroom). Each room connected by the living and kitchen, but had its own entrance, so it...

We spent Christmas week from Christmas Day to NY day on the resort in Edificio 7, Mayan Palace, which was close to the Jade boutique-a combo grocery store and dept store for all resort related needs as well as the lobby, pool and beach. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed with coffee machine, toaster and blender, microwave and...

If you wish to have excellent, friendly service while lounging at a beautiful pool (shrimp tacos were very good with margaritas) or on a white sand beach, this is a really great place. We had five people and had the room with a master suite and another room with bath which worked very well with the living room, dining area...

Our family he'd the best time here. The resort was easy to get around, staff was always friendly, everything was super clean, and the restaurants were really good. We did the timeshare tour and it wasn't too bad as far as those go. We WILL be back:)!

My husband and I stayed Dec 11 to the 18, 2016. We exchanged our Diamond (Apollo) timeshare for a week. Weather was mid 80's high and probably 75 low. Barely any rain. I loved the beach; and even though the pool is the grandest I have ever seen, I preferred to spend my day looking out at the beautiful colors...

This review is on the Mayan Palace, not the Grand Mayan or The Bliss also located on the same premises. The resort offers one way transportation from the airport (35mts) . The return is up to you. We paid a taxi $35dlls for all four of us. If you drive yourself, look for the Vidanta sign in front of the...

The Mayan Palace is one of the best places that I have ever stayed at. They have everything you need & want all in one stunning location. The staff are so friendly & helpful, I was blown away by the hospitality. The facilities are 5 star & I couldn't find any faults during my stay. The room was spacious, clean...

The room ,although dated, was great for our needs!! We had the two bedroom with kitchenette with our daughter and her fiance so plenty of room. We were advised that the unit we were in is scheduled for updates in January!! Great walks through the jungle and only a short walk to the beach. Recommend water shoes to go into...

The grounds were impeccable and the service was outstanding. The beach is beautiful, but you are not able to swim due to the rocks. Also the docks were off limits each time we tried to go on them. Food is ok. Nice place for families.

This is a great resort for those who prefer to stay within hotel property - super large, great pool and nice beach. The downside is if you get a room too far away from the beach/ pool or if you like to go into town it takes 20+ minutes. Staff was helpful and pleasant and the grounds beautiful. I would...
