The resort is beautiful but huge. On arrival you're given a little package with information by someone whose first language is not the same as yours and this is after travelling all day. Getting further information is a challenge - like which restaurant is open when or access to a menu. There is virtually no information provided in the room....

Wife & 3 Kids and Grandma/Grandpa – 2 Suites, Building 17 Mayan Palace This was the first (non) all-inclusive resort we’ve been too in Mexico in the past 10 years so I was skeptical in the beginning regarding how much $$$ we were going to spent but I was pleasantly surprised with bill at the end. I’ll share with you...

I'm a timeshare holder, which means that I can book outside my share through Interval International. I've had my share for 16 years and I've never experienced such a horrible unorganized, uncaring, and inadequate staff. From the first day of check-in to the last day, it was a disaster. The grounds are beautiful--no doubt, but the staff at Mayan Palace...

We visited for the week of Thanksgiving with 3 adults and 3 small kids. The Resort was so large that you have to check in at the front gate, then drive to multiple lobbies to find the right hotel, then take shuttles to your room. The fact that our building (17) was so far from the pools and restaurants and...

We went to visit this resort after we got hunted down by a Vidanta salesman in the airport in Cancun. We went to the resort and were very impressed by the facilities, and purchased a membership. We asked the saleswoman about the cost of meals and we were misinformed as to the price of the food and drinks on site....

Check in went very smooth and quick. This is a cash free type of resort. You give them your credit card number at check-in which allows you to purchase groceries, food, beverages that are charged to your room. Tips are included for your food and beverages at the restaurants and pool area, but we would still give a tip in...

I think a little unfair to downgrade this resort because of one unfortunate aspect so taking this element out of the equation ..a wonderful experience overall and exceptionally good staff and as friendly as you want them to be. The jungle concept appealed to us and the layout using shuttles for transport on site word well but we walked anyway...

We stayed one week at the Miami palace and our second week at the Grand Mayan both on the Vidanta property. Both hotels were very nice but I preferred the Grand Mayan. I love the resort because of the fact that they kept the jungle and incorporated it with the hotel buildings built as Mayan temples. There are nature walks...
