The only thing to be mindful of is there is no real footpath and it is a bit dangerous walking into town especially at night, hiring a car in Mykonos is highly advisable as Taxi’s are very expensive due to the scarcity. I wish I had done that from landing but I didn’t realise until after.
The moment you arrive you are warmly greeted and taken to the best seat in the hotel, outside right by the pool for a more relaxed check in woth delicious welcome drinks and some sweet treats. Everything is explained to you in detail and George the head concierge was the person who greeted me on arrival and made a great first impression. The hotel manager introduces himself and honestly speaking the service is phenomenal! George really is incredible and an asset to the hotel he was super helpful in planning all my activities and advising me throughout.
Now the facilities are top notch considering it’s a small boutique hotel, I was in a honeymoon suite warm a really warm personal balcony hot tub with a direct sea view over the sunset. The main pool has the hotels wow factor looking over some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen to date. They have added twinkly lights to the bottom of the pool which makes it very unique and rather charming.
I was lucky George helped me plan my whole itinerary otherwise it would have been difficult with all the closures, parking my car was very easy in their car park (much better than I can imagine in the Mykonos town hotels).
There are a few minor things that could have been nicer; such as the bathrooms being a little compact, and the rooms being so close together in the balconies u can hear everything between rooms, the walk into town being slightly treacherous and drinks by the pool were really quite steep (you’ll find that in most of Mykonos) but all rather small gripes which they can’t do much about.
The food at breakfast was really out of this world and the service was immaculate at breakfast, they remembered my preferences, made a la carte anything you liked from the menu. The wait staff for breakfast and by the pool were all super friendly and amazing at there job, too many names to mention here. Their juices are particular good and extremely fresh!
Overall it’s the quality of the property , service and people working there that make this a standout and understandably one of the best 5* hotels on the island! Highly recommend it .
George, the head of guest experience is extremely knowledgeable and fully understood what we like and want from a holiday, he is a real asset to the hotel. We went to some amazing restaurants (Karin, Norma, Apeggio) and Alemagou beach club, all very different, but all lovely in their own right.
The Spa is amazing, we had a couple of treatments during our stay, its was up there as one of the best massages I’ve had, Maria is amazing!
Rooms are fairly basic in there design, but functional, comfortable and extremely clean, our room had a plunge pool and terrace overlooking the sea.
Around the pool service is perfection, constantly topping up with mineral water and delicious cocktails! A highlight is the Greek salad and chicken skewers, to complete the beautiful view.
Breakfast is also lovely, a very good selection of healthy and not so healthy options, plus fresh juices which is always a plus.
Bill and Coo is delightful, a small but perfectly formed boutique hotel, just as it should be...
P.S. thank you very much for my Birthday cake! Absolutely Delicious!!
The trip wouldn't be so great, without all arrangements from our hotel management, that they made our each day unforgettable, fulfilling every single request, taking even further and making sure every guest having the most comfortable and memorable experience 24 h every day. The staff is absolutely world class, one of the best services I have ever experienced. I travel around the world every month and it's really not easy to be satisfied with everything every day, however our concierge - George was an exception! I can't praise him enough for all amazing arrangements he fulfilled on a daily basis. He takes pride of getting to know his guests and genuinely making guests happy. From room service, custom made dishes during breakfast, tasting dinners, exceptional cocktails with sunset views, arranging boat trips, different restaurants for lunches and dinners, access to the best beach clubs, shopping sights, best Treatments at the SPA, absolutely everything without a failure. George learnt our taste and quickly knew the best places to recommend us to match our taste. Nothing was impossible, nothing was too much to ask, George and hotel management goes extra mile to ensure guests having the most comfortable and enjoyable stay 24 h/ 7 days at their resort. Hotel has a perfect combination for everyone's needs and different tastes: it's luxury relax time with fine dining and plenty of activities to enjoy around.
Highly recommended to every traveler, who is looking comfort, world class service, top dining experience and quality relaxation time to remember! I am looking forward to come back to "Bill & Coo Suites and Lounge" as soon as next season is opened again!
Make sure, ask for George to be your personal concierge, this man makes magic and makes your trip a little paradise!
Thank you so much for everything - Jasmine Kendall
However, there’s just something that falls short for me as a luxury 5* hotel - The breakfast menu, whilst extensive, is a little lacking in flavour. The music by the pool is a little repetitive and cheesy, and there’s just something lacking in magic/character here - We had dinner at to beef bar at their sister hotel (Bill and Coo coast suites) and that instantly felt 10x better, so for the price, I don’t think we would select this hotel again but we would stay at a different Bill & Coo as the service was first class.
My only recommendation would be to rein in the charges for transportation. Nothing is more than 10 minutes away, but it’s 40 euros, the transport to the airport (10 minutes /1.5 miles) was 40 euros each - I’m sorry but this is petty and unnecessary when paying 1600€ per night.
However I would recommend the hotel for the staff alone.
No wonder they are part of the Hotel Collection for American Express Platinum travelers.
Hands down, top notch hotel and UNBEATABLE SERVICE!
We chose this hotel as we didn’t want to be in the centre of Mykonos Town and therefore it was perfect. It’s a 15 minute walk into the centre along a pretty busy road but you just need to pay attention. The crossroads going into town is like nothing I have ever seen for beeping and traffic - the thought of having to get a cab would he a nightmare.
We stayed in one of their smallest rooms, a bachelor suite and was near to the car park which some have moaned about. However again this was perfect for us. We didn’t need a swim up pool in the room as just used the wonderful bar pool they have and we were hardly in the room anyway. Was plenty of space for us and our three suitcases for a week! Also being where we were meant we couldn’t hear the bar music 🎶 later into the evening. It’s not loud at all and very beach club style but I wouldn’t want to hear it through the early hours. The housekeeping team it must be said are world class. Well done to them.
We visited their beach club on a few days and the transfer to there is complimentary. However for everything else you will get charged if you use their hotel drivers. But taxis are in short supply so we just sucked it up plus the drivers were lovely. We also visited Spilia beach club plus the restaurant in the cave there, and Hippie Fish twice. Do get the hotel to book for you in advance. Their beach club is nice and private and you don’t need to pay for beds there but the prices in Beefbar and Taverna make up for it! Chris and Nikos are great and do the hard job of managing everyone’s expectations of wanting to sit at the front. Actually a tip. The second row is better as the water comes up and drenches everything!! Do get concierge to book you in though as it get pretty full and only limited beds.
We ate our both in the town and also in a couple places further away. Was nice to get away from the chaos that is the town.
Special mention to Dimitris at breakfast and to Thanos, Vaselis, Eli and the extra special Erinda who work the evening shifts. We had some great laughs with them, they are all fabulous people and we thank them all for making our week and the amazing sunsets so special. We hope our paths will cross again. Also to all the concierge team for putting up with all our requests and to driver George who sounds like a Greek Sean Connery!
It’s not cheap but be warned, nothing in Mykonos is. Do your research and you can eat and drink out for reasonable prices. We didn’t want fancy pants food and therefore loved the Taverna restaurant they have at their Bill& Coo coast as well as Nautilus, Eva’s Garden and Hippie Fish. Ate in the last three twice each.
They will look after you. Enjoy it.
