The hotel is very contemporary chic and beautifully designed. The public infinity pool has amazing views of the sea and it's the perfect place to watch the sunset. Our cave room was unique, cosy, very clean and had a big pool. The mini bar was complimentary. The towels were changed two times a day. The personnel were very attentive and supportive, free drink at check-in, helped us with our bags; the concierge was helpful, he showed us the room and around the hotel. We had breakfast in the room (10E extra), it was very good, but I think going at the restaurant is better, you will have a huge variety of foods and drinks. The town is about 10 minutes walk, which I liked a lot. Overall I think the hotel is overpriced, but if you are willing to pay the crazy prices on the more expensive rooms (1.4k+) you won't be disappointed.

Wow - where do I start...
before staying I read some reviews on trip advisor which made me question booking. After staying at Cavo these reviews made me realise that some people can’t be pleased because my experience throughout our stay was the very best...

The hotel is incredible which you’ve seen on Instagram but what you don’t see is the amazing team who work there. The customer service, care & attention to detail is the highest slandered and the very best. They make your stay so enjoyable.

Every morning you receive the warmest of welcomes by the staff. They remember how you take your coffee. If you call down to reception from your room to ask for anything, within minutes it’s arrived with you. We have stayed at only 5 star hotels but the care at Cavo beats all the others.

We originally booked for 5 nights but when check out day arrived we extended our stay for a further 2 nights.

Before booking, you notice the quotes are expensive but after staying you realise it’s value for money & worth every penny.

It’s impossible to leave being disappointed.

We stayed here mid May. The room as fantastic, incredibly well finished. Free daily mini bar was great. The service is impeccable. The buffet breakfast is the best I have ever see . Even if you want something that isn’t available they will cook it for you. Breakfast runs until midday and you can have free bottled water by the pool until breakfast close as well. The fresh cakes are amazing and the premium cold cuts and European cheeses are also fantastic. Something for everyone. The beds by the pool were also great.

The draw backs were the pool isn’t infinity against the ocean. There is a road in front and from our room our infinity pool had a view of parked buses some of the time.

Also, if you want something in your room you have to request it each day. For example if you want milk for your coffee you must call each day. Also the free mini bar was not filled up every day and we had to ask.

The private pool in our room was not heated and incredible cold.

Overall would go back and worth ticking off for the gram!!

The cleaning staff came to our room threw away our food and kicked our stuff out of the closet way before checking out time. We felt like they wanted to say “Get the F out you are not welcome here since we already got your money”. We knew the check out time was for 12 pm so went to relax by the pool went back at 11:30 am and all our stuff were put in a little corner, they threw away out food and started cleaning the room before the time. We pay $2950 for a room with a cave. That pool was small like the size of 2 small bath tubs. Staff is pretty rude and only see Euro and $ signs. No good communication, no proper customer services, wifi is weak, everywhere you go you are interrogated like a criminal. I don’t speak Greek but they love Americans and Canadians because we tip well. The staff is unhappy…I was told by one of the drivers that they are underpaid, and overworked. The manager Sofia is as rude as rude can be. Oh and Breakfast is garbage for a 5 star hotel. Straight rip off. On the contrary Zuma was amazing, they have a better view, more professional and cleaner environment, too bad they are only a restaurant. There are other boutique hotels in the area that can give you the best experience in Mykonos avoid that Cavo at all costs. We’ve been around the world and stayed only in 5 star hotels I wouldn’t give that junk half a star after my experience. Please don’t believe the social media hype. You will be disappointed. The whole staff needs to be trained oh and there are no “Do not disturb signs”. Cavo should be a $150-$400 a night hotel. Total disappointment…go at your own risks. We spent 10 days in Greece and Cavo was the only disappointment.

We visited here on a day out for our friends engagement.
The place itself is beautiful. The views from the pool are stunning and the decor is very up market. The beds are pricey and if you want one at the front of the pool you need to get there early.
We booked a day room which gave you access to a pool bed. The cost for this was €500. We arrived but couldn’t check in to the rooms until 2pm.
One of our group proposed to his girlfriend here during the day, the staff were very rude and didn’t make any part of the day special. We ate in the resteraunt later on which was ok, in total we spent €6000 between 8 of us which is a lot of money to receive bad service on such a special occasion. Overall, we were disappointed in the service and attitude of staff.

Great location. Buzzy atmosphere. Efficient and smiley waitresses and waiters at Zuma. Shame about the shisha smoking outside on the deckchairs but seems to be the fashionable thing to do. This is where you visit if you want to be seen! Just soooo disappointed by the very arrogant attitude of the operations manager and a few of the non-smiling staff at reception. We were given a 2 bed suite with pool - room 125 - avoid at all costs as building works going on right next door and banging starts at 7am. They suggested a room move but then couldn’t do it anyway. I suggested a goodwill gesture of 500 euros credit but they suggested I leave a day earlier and they wouldn’t charge me for that night!! Unbelievable attitude! Managed to agree a complimentary lunch at Zuma but definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and therefore I couldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone as that attitude is not something anyone should expect in a 5 star hotel. Even more disappointing when just visited Cavo Tagoo Santorini last month and their standard of service m, thanks to Manos (excellent hotel manager) was simply amazing!

I was so looking forward to this hotel, it looked absolutely amazing on Instagram all round. However I was sadly mistaken.

Pros:
Great for Instagram, main pool is gorgeous
Zuma restaurant for dinner was incredible
Priority for famous pool beds if guest at the hotel
Great shisha

Cons:
Very Unaccommodating staff. You walk in and don’t get greeted, you get made to feel like you’re actually quite an inconvenience and not as if you’ve literally spent thousands on this hotel.
Arrived at 12pm starving. Was told we could order in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later another waiter came and told us they didn’t serve food until 1pm. Sorry but at such a pricy hotel why should I be told when I can and cannot eat?
Breakfast is great if you don’t have allergies. DO NOT go here if you cannot eat gluten. Absolutely zero options for lunch as well.
The room had no coffee or tea facilities. I ordered a cup of tea for the room and got charged €6 for it...
Average shuttle service to town centre but get dropped off still a long walk away so you might as well just walk there in the first place.
Don’t get the cheese board, there was only 4 different cheeses, one was just a big pile of Parmesan. No cheese jelly or jam either. Sorry but for €25 I expected something a little more interesting.

I may be nit picking but maybe if they catered for food allergies and actually welcomed you properly my opinion would have been different. This hotel isn’t cheap yet youre made to feel as if you are?

Beautiful looking hotel but if you’re looking to feel welcome, looking for a 5* experience and really get what you pay for then I wouldn’t recommend.

I just finished my stay for my honeymoon and I must say it was one of the worst hotels stays I have ever had. We checked into the cave suite room. The room to start was not cleaned appropriately and had leftover opened lotions along with a dirty pool from previous guests. They provided no amenities upon check in, such as a simple bottle of champagne, fruits, or even a simple welcome note. The water in Greece is not drinkable so they don’t even provide you a single complimentary bottle of water to drink or for the nespresso machine in each room. However, even upon purchasing our own bottles of water the nespresso machine was still unusable given the black mold ring around the bottom of the water canister. Furthermore, the pictures posted on the hotel website are very deceiving. As the room does have a nice view, what they don’t tell you is that the main road and the valet/shuttle is directly below the cave suite room balcony. Not only can you hear the traffic, scooters, ATVs and valet yelling from the pool but also from the bedroom with all doors closed and shades down despite the advertised “sound proof” windows.

The pool is also “heated” but doesn’t go above 19 degrees Celsius (68 degree Fahrenheit) since obviously majority of the pool gets no sun as it is in a cave. My wife and I were woken up many times during the night throughout our 4 night stay by drunken banter/loud guests with our doorbell even being rung at 2 am one night. The noise was so unbearable that we each took melatonin the last 3 nights. Overall I would not recommend staying at this hotel considering you spend a small fortune to be treated without care. It felt like we were staying in a college dorm. It’s just an Instagram trap. Don’t make my mistake.

I have stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world and have never received such poor treatment/service. Just to compare we stayed at a 5 star hotel in Santorini just days earlier and it was amazing. They made you feel welcome from the start, service was impeccable, room was spotless, they provided champagne and made you feel like it’s your honeymoon. Yes it’s silly but the hotel was half the price and such a better stay.

What a rip off! No quality for a 5star hotel. Where do we start: upon arrival you get the coldest welcome in the barrier and get interrogated as if you are breaking in .... not a guest. Anyways this welcome is the same at the reception. In general the stuffs attitude was super rude, unwelcoming and cold. The cleanness: for our stay the stuff did not even bother to clean the balconies (because of the wind they were super dusty and muddy), the rooms were cleaned for 2 minutes. The water in the pools is around 20-23 degrees so get ready to freeze. The breakfast looks nice, but half the things had no taste. Keep in mind that your neighbours will most probably have parties - so most nights it’s hard to sleep. In general for a 2000 EUR per night stay the quality and service is far from how it should be. What a disappointment...

This hotel aims to be a chic 5 star hotel, but fails to get there. In room swimming pool sounds nice, but it really stinks of chlorine, due to the cave design. We didn't use it.

The Zuma restaurant has nothing to do with the real Zuma restaurants, like the ones in London, New York, Dubai etc. We asked for green tea and they served Twinings green tea in teabags! We send it back. This describes the level of both the restaurant and the hotel.
