Island Mykonos Suites, are a physical continuity of ‘Chora’ the main town of Mykonos and blend in well with the typical Cycladic neighbourhood they are located in. Just one step away from the beach of the same name and the Old Port – they are a collection of comfortable studios and luxury suites, some of which offer exceptional picturesque views of one of the most stunning parts of the island.

My husband and I booked a stay here for the first 2 nights of a month long trip to Mykonos. We are travel bloggers on the side and spend a lot of time in hotels are incredibly picking. I say this because we were genuinely shocked and excited by our little find at the Island Mykonos Suites.

We booked the Gialos Suite (409) and were SO glad we splurged. The deal we booked came with a 1 way transfer from the airport and the driver, Giorgis, was excellent and we have used him several times since.

We arrived after 36 hours of travel from California and were welcomed with open arms and offered water, nespresso coffee and a full rundown of the island. Theo is a gracious host and was kind, patient and always available via Whatsapp, at seemingly every hour.

The room itself is clearly the gem of the hotel, with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the old port, a massive bathroom with a rainshower and a very comfortable bed. The minibar is free, which we love, and more water can be requested. We had ample nespresso pods and housekeeping replaced this every day. We loved spending the mornings and evenings looking out at town and the sunset from our cozy daybed.

The bathroom has ample toiletries with a delicious olive oil scent. The only thing missing was body lotion, but otherwise, the amenities were excellent.

They do offer breakfast for a fee, but we personally chose to run to the bakery downstairs and pick out some delicious fresh pastries straight out of the oven.

Overall, we could not have picked a better location, a better hotel and we were genuinely sad to leave. We can't wait to come back - thank you, Theo, for everything you do!!

PS- yes, the Gialos suite is worth the splurge.

This hotel is ideally located just steps from the town and only 200m from the bus from the new port and the airport if you do not want the expensive taxis. The rooms are spacious with a superb + restful Cycladic interior design. Everything is provided from robes to lovely olive toiletries to a complimentary minibar stocked with water, fruit juices and soft drinks. There is a 24hr bakery adjacent to the hotel making the fact that breakfast is not offered not an issue.
The host Theo could not be more charming and helpful making arrangements for transport, finding me a reflexologist and making excellent restaurant recommendations.
Island Mykonos Suites + Studios will be my new “go-to” hotel from now on.

I stayed at the Island Mykonos Suites for a couple of days (in the ground floor 401 room) and was really happy with my choice.

The place is somewhere between a hotel and holiday studios, not full service but a lot more personable than a hotel. The location is perfect, just at the edge of the Old Port and by the main (small) beach in Chora's old town.

Manager Theo and his colleague Christos are both great, very nice, organised, helpful and efficient (they told me that they used to manage the Letto hotel next door). Rooms are clean, large, comfortable, and pleasantly decorated. Only limitation is that because ground floor rooms overlook the smallish courtyard area, you won't have much of a view and may prefer to keep curtains partly drawn if you like privacy, but that's the way most people would normally do things in the summer around the Mediterranean anyway!

The mini fridge is stocked with complimentary water, juice and soft drinks and there is a Nespresso machine at reception. The property also offers the option of breakfast boxes for purchase if desired.

There is a bakery at the corner which does nice fresh squeezed juices and given the location, you are a few minutes walk from dozen of restaurants, boats to Delos and the Seabus, and everything Chora has to offer.

A great place to stay and I'm sure I'll be back!

My Husband and I stayed at these suites for one night and had a great time. The host Theo was excellent and helpful from the moment we arrived. It is only a very short walk from the old port where the seabus drops you off, so its very easy to find and get to.
Theo offered us a cold drink upon arrival and then showed us to our room.
The room was spacious, fresh, clean, had been sanitised and the bathroom was quite a big size.
Its only a short walk into the main town (200m or so) so it was easy to access and go there for dinner/drinks.
In terms of noise, it was extremely quiet and the bedding was super comfortable. A nice touch was also the minibar which had non-alcoholic drinks all included.
Check-out was 11, but we were able to leave our bags until our ferry.
Overall, excellent.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. From before we arrived Theo reached out and helped us arrange transportation to ensure that we had a smooth trip to the hotel. The hotel rooms were spotless and throughout our entire trip the Theo made sure we had everything that we needed. The location of the hotel is perfect ! It's walking distance to busy part of the old town, and theres a fabulous bakery right next to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and we can't wait to return to Mykonos and stay at Theo's place.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Mykonos. As others have noted here the location is really good, just a couple of minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of town and right by the sea. Theo and the team were amazing, arranging transport when we needed it and coming up with great recommendations for restaurants and trips. They are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in Suite 403 which is called 'Little Venice'. This accommodation is perfect for two friends travelling together who each want their own room, but it could also easily accommodate 2 couples. It has 2 double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a roomy private balcony. The beds are really comfortable and decor is bright, modern and spotlessly clean. I hope to return to Mykonos again soon and I would definitely stay at Island Mykonos Suites again.

We stayed in Gialos 409 for 3 nights. The room itself is very large and there is plenty of room. The bathroom is massive with separate shower and toilet. The views from the veranda are amazing no matter what time of day. The accommodation is a 100 metre walk directly into the centre of town and a convenient walk to many things. Theodore who runs the accommodation is friendly and extremely helpful with local knowledge . It is definitely on the expensive side but with excellent views of the harbour from your own expansive veranda and the fact you are 20 metres walk to the water and excellent waterfront restaurants a short walk away its well worth the splurge. The bakery underneath is also a great eating option if you don't want a big meal.

I chose the Island Mykonos Suites for its location and its “Cycladic” design and I was not disappointed. The location is really ideal because you are very close to the heart of the city without its disadvantages (noise at night and complicated access). The room we had was large and well appointed with very kind touches (coffee / kettle / minibar / little Turkish delights and cakes 😃). The bathroom was very nice too. Good bedding and good air conditioning (the air conditioner was unfortunately noisy but not a big deal). Theo very kindly ordered taxis for our arrival and departure (overpriced taxis in Mykonos, you should know...) and he and Mary were available to organize activities if necessary (but I already knew the place very well). island). Thank you very much Théo and Mary for this very pleasant stay!

If you are fed up of trudging up the hill to join the crowds catchong buses to your hotel some distance from Mykonos town or you have a ferry to catch then the Island Mykonos suites are ideal. Located close to the old harbour, where there are buses and water buses to the new harbour (where the ferries go from) and it also only a short walk from the centre of Mykonos town. It is located next to a great bakery which is open 24 hours a day and serves really good coffee (if you like proper coffee). There is a small beach nearby.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. Theo can arrange a transfer from and to the airport, which given how few taxis there are serving the airport and only buses once an hour, can be really helpful.

The rooms are comfortable with quiet air-conditioning and the beds comfortable.

We stayed for just one night as we were arriving too late to ensure that we could catch the ferry to the island that we were basing our holiday in.

Mykonos has a reputation as a party Island but this Hotel is situated just a few minutes walk for the centre of the old town in splendid isolation. It was quite, very clean, and very friendly. i must in particular mention Christos and Theo both of whom could not have been more helpful. We were passing through on our way from Naxos, we arrived by ferry and although the hotel organised a taxi, it would have been just as easy to have jumped on the seabus which docked a few hundred meters from the hotel. The little bay a stones throw from the hotel was excellent for people and boat watching as well as swimming and sunbathing. We dressed up to walk the fashionable streets in the evening, but when we were ready it was great to return to the tranquility on the hotel within 5 minutes. If you want to see a more relaxed tranquil side of the Island but be right in town I would highly recommend Island Mykonos Suites.
