We stayed for two nights in this beautiful and cosy hotel . First of all , after booking the hotel , I was messaged immediately on the booking app and was helped with the transfer . The staff is overall very helpful , they guided us and helped us find certain things we were interested in , gave us good advice . The hotel is small , but very clean and comfortable . To be honest , I think it might be one of the best views in Mykonos right from this hotel . Portobello is quite Instagram friendly , if are interested in taking a lot of pictures . It is also in 1 minute walking distance from a famous windmill on the cliff , where you can watch the sunset and take beautiful photos . You can also watch the sunset from the hotel bar or lobby balcony . It is super nice and most of the time there are no people whatsoever We did not have a room with a view ( we only had a side view from a pretty small window , it was okay but no balcony overlooking Mykonos ) , but you won't miss on anything if you don't have a room with a view since the lobby balcony / lounge space has everything you might want . The hotel is also close to most things , the only downside being that you will have to walk up the stairs when you will be returning from the city .

In hot weather , it's pretty hard to navigate on the island . We had a 30 minute walk at noon and we thought we were going to die from the hot temperature and blazing sun . Mind that when you plan your trip to Mykonos ! The hosts also provided a helpful map for us . The breakfast is very nice , Especially given the fact that the hotel is small . The coffee was especially good . We arrived a couple of hours earlier before the check in , but the lovely lady from the reception still let us check in earlier . The staff in this hotel are very friendly and welcoming . When we checked in early , the room was not 100 % cleaned after the previous guest , since we found two used shampoo bottles in the shower area . A bit small rooms , but still very cosy .

I loved the hospitality of the staff and the great location of this small and well kept hotel. The views of the harbor and sunset in the evening were picture perfect. It is an easy walk (be prepared for steps!) to get to restaurants and the shopping area. The reception helped arrange a motor bike for us which we rented for a reasonable price for two days. I’d recommend a very small vehicle or better yet, motor bike since parking can be difficult. September was a very good time to visit as the large summer crowds had slightly died down, but it was still busy enough. We were upgraded to a suite and it was a treat to have a separate living room. The king bed and pillows were comfortable and the room and hotel in general were very clean. As previous reviews have noted, there is not a common area pool. We originally thought we’d miss a pool, but with so many beach options it was not a big deal. There was a great breakfast selection complete with homemade yogurt, eggs made to order, cheeses, meats, Greek salad, pastries, and more. Very well done for a small hotel! Would definitely recommend!!

Just to be brief a villa we had booked in Mykonos was not to our taste on arrival we quickly had to seek alternative accommodation where we came across the Portobello Boutique Hotel a very last minute late booking the staff at the hotel were fantastic holding the last room with no deposit they trusted we would turn up .
On arrival we were met by 2 lovely reception staff who knew who we where the second we walked through the door very charming and welcoming .

The hotel is very modern and well kept the views of Mykonos cannot be beat with great views of all the town ,windmills and harbour .

The room we stayed in was a suite with pool again this room was beautiful very modern with Greek touches seemed like it was brand new everything seemed fresh and the room was spotless fresh fruit on the table great amenities had a great night sleep very impressed .
Breakfast was charming looking over the town and harbour the staff again really accommodating and friendly with a nice selection of breakfast items overall completed a great stay .

Highly recommended

This hotel was a change from many others we stayed at over a six week trip. Lovely Danish inspired decor, thoughtful furnishings.
We were upgraded to a garden suite which meant we had two small rooms overlooking the garden of the private villa next door - also owned by the same hotel.
The bed was comfortable and bedding and towels good quality as you would expect from a hotel that commands a high price .
Staff very personable and helpful recommending restaurants and beaches to access on local buses. Beach towels and bag were also provided.
There were only a few guests when we stayed which made it difficult to offer more options at breakfast but what was there was freshly made and well presented.
We did find it difficult to leave our suitcases open as floor space was a little tight.
The location was not far from the main road with the bonus of two windmills close by.
The old town with all its buzz was accessed via two stone paths right down to sea level at the old port. This is where you could shop until you dropped and then cool off with a cold drink at the myriad of restaurants there.
A nice way to end our Greek odyssey m

**This review is of the restaurant that is part of the hotel, not the hotel itself** We stumbled upon this spot by accident and loved the ambience and the food so much we ended up coming back. You must have the feta watermelon with mint, it's so refreshing! All of the meals (they are more like snacks, but good for sharing) are simply delicious! The other benefit of this restaurant is that it is so secluded we were the only ones there enjoying the beautiful sunset and views of the water. Our server was amazing and very attentive, I wish I had gotten his name. The last day he gave us a dessert on the house, which was delicious! This is such a gem of a place in all of Mykonos, above all of the bustle of Old Town, the feel is very exclusive and it is not overly pricey.

I have been on a 16 days business trip and I had one of my best experience ever in this small, cosy boutique hotel. The attention to all the details made my staying exceptionally good: from a great quality matress and pillow to the soft, natural lavander smelling bed sheets and towels. The healthy-chic breakfast a la carte and the breathtaking view from the panoramic terrace where I started my morning made the experience above the expectations
However, what actually made the experience memorable was the welcoming vibes I perceived from the staff which has always gone above and beyond.
Strongly reccommended.

My family and I stayed at the Portabello boutique hotel in Mykonos for the past two nights. The hotel is beautiful and well staffed. They have a parking lot for a rental car but more importantly are located close enough to walk anywhere in the city. This is a 1st class boutique hotel!

Love this hotel. It's quite small and the service is VERY personal. Breakfast is excellent, with lots of home made dishes. Beds are of a very high quality, shower perfect and the sea view is astonishing. What i will not easily forget, is the genuine smile on everyone's face. That made our hotel experience "wow". So please: keep smiling.
By the way, the small pool @ the hotel is not for shared use. So, if you really want a pool, choose another hotel.

Contrary to many travel website listing, including ZenHotels and Expedia, this hotel does not have a pool for all guests. The pool pictured on the hotel website is restricted to the top suite.

Looking at previous reviews, it appears quite a few other guests had booked this hotel thinking there was a pool, so if you really want access to the pool, you will need to be booked in the top suite.

Best location in Mykonos. Perfect hotel. Perfect view. Perfect hospitality. Extremely beautiful. We had all we dreamed of and more. Quite and calm on one hand and close to the centre on the other hand. The view from the hotel is priceless. The garden is inviting. The room is perfectly comfortable and everywhere you look you see a unique detail of decoration. The stuff is helpful and the atmosphere is friendly and familial. We had the best time and we’ll be back for sure.

I think that is correct. We didn't stay in the Villa but we went to the beach anyway so it wasn't an issue for us. Hope this helps Cheers Tony

Dear Mrs Taylor, I would like to inform you that you have booked our Garden & Sea view Suite with pool access. The Suite it is not facing the road. Please note that your reservation at Katarina’s Bar for 3 people at 20:00 at the balcony is confirmed. Regarding the night of 22nd, there are a lot of good options, depends what you prefer. There is a very good Greek – Mediterranean restaurant called Nautilus and also kind of the same style but a bit more fusion, is M-eating. A good fish restaurant is Koursaros and a fish tavern Kounelas as well for fish, simple place but very good. Kindly check that options on line and if you like something we will be happy to book it for you. Please note that all those are located in the traditional paths of Mykonos, so there is no sea view. A nice upscaled tavern for fish is Sea Satin and is by the water. Kindly contact us by e-mai for your reply. Waiting for your reply.
