Sublime stay . One of the best holidays ever. We could not have been looked after better by our 3 butlers, Elsa, Lia and Fran - nothing was too much trouble - we were so much impressed that we booked to stay on an extra 5 nights Stephano was the best host we ever have had. He was mainly based in Lagarto - he was very knowledgeable and encouraging of us to try local wines and food - we wish he was in that restaurant every day, as his strengths certainly were to their best there - Thais was wonderful too , both in Lagarto and in the Mirador Terrace. Her memory of what we liked , alongside her helping me with my Spanish was amazing, and we had many laughs together Andrea was always smiling and helpful - a lovely young lady. Giuseppe in Poseidon was always friendly , happy , and gave us tremendous service. Alex oversaw a fantastic hospitality offering. We simply cannot wait to return and have already rebooked for March. Thank you wonderful staff for all your hard work . The food , drinks and service are outstanding. The cleaning is to the highest standard and we felt completely safe and happy in a blissful bubble at this wonderful hotel. The little touches such as a glass of Moet et Chandon at breakfast every morning and the lovely Cava throughout the day also added to this wonderful experience in wonderfully maintained grounds.

Having spent 11 days at the Hotel Salome we can honestly say that we haven’t felt this safe since Covid began. The hotel is spotless and is being sanitised constantly. The staff are never seen without masks and have no problem with firmly reminding forgetful guests to wear theirs too. Serving spoons are changed every 15 minutes with hand sanitiser at every dish. The food is excellent and the staff extremely accommodating. It is worth noting that Salome is actually an annexe of Anthelia and not really a hotel in it’s own right. The ‘Butler’ service is questionable as they are rarely seen. The a la carte breakfast room is very strange as guests are not permitted to help themselves to the buffet in the centre of the room while the actual breakfast takes ages to arrive from the kitchen and consequently is luke warm. Like us, most Salome guests go there once and then continue their stay having breakfast in the main buffet lounge still enjoying beautiful views of the sea and freshly prepared food.

When you arrive at the hotel you are confused because you arrive at a huge hotel called AntheliaHowever the Grand Salome is adults only with high security cards so only the people staying there can enter the hotel. There are approx. 90 room in a half circle and all face the sea and the beach is approx. 300 metre away - beautiful setting. There is a pool, a pool bar/restaurant and an al la carte breakfast room, if you prefer a buffet it is in the larger hotel, you can eat there or if you wish you can get your food there and take it into the private restaurant. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and you are assigned 3 people that you can call at any time if you want something. Of course because of the pandemic there were no directory of services or any paper so it was great that you had 3 people to call at any time if you want information. If you visit, look up Valentina, Frank or Elsa, simply could not do enough for you.

This is our 3rd visit and the service is as excellent as the 1st time we came here. All staff without exception are first class, always ready to help. We love it here it’s like coming home. A bottle of bubbly in the suite on arrival, with chocolate covered strawberries, OMG what a welcome. Not to mention a glass of bubbly at reception upon arrival. The suite is fantastic, a beautiful view and the terrace overlooking the pool and sea stunning. The bed is very comfortable, bathroom well appointed with towels changed twice daily, that little chocolate on the pillow in the evening. Hairdryer and straighteners plus iron and board, like home from home. See you next year Salome
