Following a rather repulsive stay at an area motel (which shall remain anonymous), we set out for cleaner pastures. The Coach House Motel delivered above and beyond our expectations! Extraordinarily clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. If you're looking for a place to hang your hat with a great price this is the spot! Clean and crisp sheets,...

I was a little apprehensive when I booked this room but it is as good as the "excellent" reviews say it is. The rooms are perfectly clean and very comfortable and the owners were super helpful and very interesting to talk with. This is a great place to stay.

Enjoyed our overnight stay at the Coach House motel while on the Lake Superior Circle tour. The owners are very friendly and gave us a map to find Jackfish bay for rock hunting. It's a few miles west of Terrace Bay so very quiet and dark at night. I can't rave enough about how meticulous the room was. Crisp white...

VERY CLEAN! That's yelling... The old roadside motel is as clean as your own home including the bathroom. Relatively quaint, quiet except for the occasional cycle or truck on highway 17, some 30 meters in front of your door. The fellow who owns the motel is from Chicago and retired in Ontario. Nice fellow, very interested in making your stay...

An overnight stop at an excellent motel. An older property, however the owners take great pride in the rooms and the exterior of the building. The room & bath are spacious, a great layout and nice simple décor. The couple who run the motel are from the Chicago area, I spent time the morning before we left talking with them....

The lodging is beautifully located, and with a wonderful view. The rooms are perfectly great, and your hosts are fine people. Having a conversation while checking in, I discovered that the lodge housed a Canadian hero for his courage, Terry Fox, a cancer victim who endured and kept going, on his marathon to Thunder Bay. The Trans-Canada highway in the...

Motel located on highway 17 just east of Terrace Bay. All rooms with 2 double beds, with minifridge, microwave and coffee maker. No airconditioning but 2 Windows allowed for a cross breeze. There are no restaurants close to hotel but my husband and I picked up a pizza in Terrace Bay as we drove through. Well priced.

Clean, large rooms. Friendly owners. Nice location. Great value. Will definitely stay here again, highly recommended. The owners operate the motel, so you should try to get there before 10pm. In our case, we were running late and phoned ahead to let them know. They stayed up until 10:30pm. They were awesome, greatly appreciated, thank you!

The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Updated bathroom. I got a warm friendly welcome when I arrived with a little history about Terry Fox staying here. I would stay here again. Beautiful sunsets right outside the door.

May not seem like much but it was very clean and the owners are the friendliest ever. There is no AC, but reall wasn't needed. If you want trustworthy and wholesomeness there cannot be better. The rooms were clean and spacious. We loved it and plan to return.

Thank Rodney S
