We loved our stay at Domaine de Robinson. Claude picked us up at the top of the hill in his car when we arrived and drove our luggage down to the big bungalow. He is friendly and welcoming, speaks English, and recommended a wonderful bakery and grocery store where we could shop for our food. Every morning we woke up and swam out before breakfast to snorkel with the turtle and many other fish. In the evenings we sat on the patio and watched the sun go down. We cooked dinner on the outdoor barbeque or in our kitchen. There are kayaks and snorkel gear that guests can use and a couple of friendly cats that our daughter fell in love with. The big bungalow is clean and spacious and we fell asleep each night to the sounds of waves and a chorus of cicadas. We will definitely return.

After finding a parking spot Claude picked us up and brought us to the tree house. The tree house is a real nature adventure. You hear and see birds like kolibri, you hear frogs at night ed. The monkey bridge is great, but be careful and don’t walk to fast. Put your groceries in the plastic container under the bed. This avoids that birds or other small creatures eat it before you as the tree house is fairly open. But yeah, you sleep on tree-top-level in the jungle. It is not luxuary, but is has all the things you need like a toaster, coffee machine and water boiling kettle. From the beach you can snorkel and see many turtles early in the morning. Enjoy the adventure.

The bay Anse Noir is beautiful we booked the three house for 2 nights and left after one night which we spent in the car!!! The three house was very dirty and hasnt been cleaned for ages. The douche curtain, the mosquito net on the bed were so old, dirty and broken. The blanket was so dirty and full of holes. At night we heard noise and saw 4! Cockroach and a rat...... One of the cockroach was IN the bed....we decided to leave directly,, took the very slippery ladder to get out of the three house in the middle of the night and called some hotels but they were fully booked. So we spent the whole night in the car...... Next day we told Claude that we want to leave directly. The rat had been eating from the bread which was in the plastic and the fruit. Claude said that you can expect animals in the forest and that he cant help it. This is not true; bugs, spiders ok we were prepared for them and Yes we know a cockroach can pass by. But 4 and 1 in the bed, is horrible! rat and cockroach come only to places which are dirty we visited more places in the middle of the jungle all over the world but never seen this. So DONT BOOK the three house, the idea is Nice but Claude hasnt been doing anything for years to keep it net and clean, he only collects money for it. Its a shame!!! On top of this he let us annulate 1 night if we agreed not to put any negative comments on the internet...... What do you think if you have to spend a nigt in the car???

i am not surprise by this message. i Knew that i should have some problem with you from the begining when you told me that you were afraid to use the monkey bridge and would like to have another room on the floor. As i cant because i was fully rented you were angry. i have to say that there are pictures and vidéos of this bridge on my website. So be responsible. I can't imagine you in the middle of the jungle!! you say a lot of wrong things, like i do nothing for that, in fact a specialised compagny come every 3 months to put a treatment in each rooms. And more of that you are a liar when you say that i asked you to not put a negative comment. I NEVER SAY THAT Shame on you. i must say that the following customers from Netherland didn't have any problemes in the tree house. strange isn't it? it's easy to lie behind a screen, i leave you with your concsience claude

This is our third stay at Domaine de Robinson, and we are looking forward to coming back. This is a wonderful place to stay, with comfortable accommodations and a very welcoming host who speaks both French and English. You have your choice of staying in a small bungalow, big bungalow, studio, or tree house. Each unit has a comfortable queen-sized bed, while the big bungalow has separate rooms for a family stay. Each unit also has a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. There is a also a communal barbecue area where you can grill a meal. The bungalows and tree house come furnished with hammocks on their covered decks. The property is located right on the beach, just steps from the water. The Anse Noire beach has some of the best snorkeling on the island. You can see many kinds of reef fish, turtles, octopuses, corals, and sponges. Anse Noire beach is very quiet and not commercial. You can buy some local artwork and handicrafts on the beach or homemade ice cream, but no T-shirts or bumper stickers. Just a few minutes' walk over the hill is Anse Dufour, a second beach with great snorkeling, and a few restaurants where you can buy lunch. If you need groceries, you can also meet up with one of the daily vegetable trucks in Anse Dufour to buy fruits or vegetables. This is a great spot for bird watching, snorkeling, kayaking (Domaine de Robinson has several kayaks that you can use for free), and hiking, or just plain relaxing on the beach or patio. We also learned to play petanque here, the French game that looks like bocce but is more fun. Since Anse Noire is relatively remote and has no stores or restaurants, it's a good idea to bring food with you when you arrive.

Very interesting and remote area with a small beach (dark sand) and relatively calm bay, close to L'Anse d'Arlete. It was a special experience for us to live in a cabin on the tree. It provided a different perspective view of the garden and the coast from 6 meters above the ground. Fresh breeze from the sea was refreshing us during the day, in the evening we were falling asleep with sounds of the waves and a concert of nocturnal species from a nearby jungle. There are other studios in the tropical garden, only on the ground. Very nice staff. If you are looking for a place to relax with an exotic atmosphere, this could be it!
