Stayed here from 18 February - 29 March 2021. There are two locations Acuario 1 and 2, I stayed in 1. Located 4 minute walk all on the flat from main bars/ shopping area/ bus stop. Small supermarket within twenty feet of front gate. Accommodation slightly old fashioned but very clean. Did not have to pay for safe or the good quality Wifi. Cleaning staff first class, small pool cleaned every day. Reception staff extremely helpful. Flat screen TV with BBC1/2, ITV, Channel 4. Fridge, kettle and lots of pots/pans/cutlery/plates etc. Very quiet area, got good nights sleep. Would love to return and obviously recommend to others.
Whilst it was a bit time consuming getting the paperwork sorted (covid forms had to be completed before arrival as we were coming from another hotel and did not comply with the 72 hours) everything went well and Pedro was great communicating. When we arrived we had a bottle of bubbles and a Christmas treat waiting for us in the apartment- very welcoming The balcony on 3rd floor apartment had great views of the sea and sunrise and sunset as well as parrots and birds who appeared very proactive cleaning for covid, especially the life guard at the pool very helpful - we were chilly at night so they sent blankets over was great to have a bath to relax in spacious - kitchen had microwave, kettle, toaster, pots pans etc large swimming pool that was cleaned daily, but unfortunately not heated - the sea was warmer great communication, via email, phone etc our flights were altered a few times and the hotel was very flexible and helpful little cafe on the site has offers for half board, and meal deals etc useful to have a washing machine - which included soap powder and a dryer too little washing 'line' on the balcony to dry clothes overnight the hotel has two locations, one where the reception is with a small pool and second on the road above with a bigger pool. whilst it is several roads up from the main beach road, there is an easy way to get to beach eg 10 minutes local supermarket is just opposite and there are 2 spa shops nearby needs more plug sockets - take an adapter the gate that lets you in to Acuario Sol 2 made a noise every time people went in and out there was no toilet paper when we arrived, but that did arrive when the cleaners came - every other day, with clean towels etc. we went out one day and returned to spick and span apartment with clean sheets…
We have just returned having spent a lovely family holiday in these apartments. They are very clean tidy and the lovely food and welcome is to be recommended. Excellent all round and a big thank you for the management who are working extremely hard In Difficult circumstances to make you feel safe. Cleaners and lifeguard worked hard to keep us safe. We will come again thank you . Best wishes to you all for 2020 and that things are better for everyone.
Lovely location , apartment nice and clean , only issue was the man working around the pool , absoutle idiot. You were not allowed to move any sunbeds or put umbrellas up (35 degrees in August) or he got very upset with you. Also not allowed to put anything on the sun loungers, several times he came over to tell me off and got very angry my flip flop was resting on the sun lounger. Absolutely pathetic and meant I did not enjoy the pool or spend any money there which is a shame.
This would have been a 5 star review except for the attitude of the manager on the last day. Lanzarote had been put into lock down the previous night, we had asked the receptionist on Sunday 15th March if we could stay in our apartment for an extra 4 hours till our taxi arrived at 4pm. The receptionist checked on the computer and said he couldn't see a problem but he would check with the manager. We said as it was Sunday we would call back in the morning. In the morning the day of our departure we asked the manager if we could could check out at 4pm instead of 12 noon. He refused and told us the room was booked, we stated that it may be booked, but no one was being allowed on the island due to the fact that all the shops, bars and restaurants were on lock down, he still refused. We had to vacate the room and hang around the hotel area as we were not allowed out. We would have thought that in the circumstances he could have been a bit more simpathetic. The rest of the staff were fantastic, helpful and kept the apartments and pool areas spotless. …
