We’ve just spent 2 nights in room 501 😍 the room had such a wow factor I had to take 1 or 2 (hundred) photos to show friends /family. So nice that we spent our first whole day there. Lovely food, husband had a stand out burger at the pool bar and reckons it was one of the best he had. Attentive professional and friendly staff. Loved the cocktail bar which was immaculately decorated with a lovely terrace and not forgetting the wonderful South African singer a lovely voice with a great song collection.
Had a wonderful week stay at La Isla y El Mar. Highlights: - Staff and service; extremely attentive, friendly and, most importantly, prompt - The bar: especially the cocktails which are a must try! The bar is wonderfully decorated in an Art Deco style, and has a cosy outside area perfect for hot summer evenings. - The gardens: the hotel has a huge amount of greenery with gives an oasis feel in contrast to the landscape of the island. - The rooms: everything is beautifully furnished with the highest quality fittings. No expense spared. - The food: a choice of two restaurants with generous options; the breakfast and starter buffets had huge variety of quality produce. - The 'chill out area' - this is a high quality bathing space, next to the pool and bar. Many hours were spent here; truly idyllic!…
We are currently 7 days into our 9 day break, half board, staying in room 701 - a classic suite. Room has pleasant decor, is clean and is spacious. Bed is firm but comfortable. Lots of wardrobe space, although wardrobe doors are badly designed - if they are not positioned exactly so, the drawers and safe will not open. Bathroom with walk in waterfall shower is clean and functional and decor is pleasant. We have 2 sunbeds, 2 chairs and a table on a small patio area but a very disappointing view. What is described as partial sea view on the website would be better described as facing the wall of another apartment with a very very restricted view of the sea in the distance. In fact there are very few rooms that are what I would describe as being a sea view room. You might think, well at least the room/patio is private - unfortunately not, as the main zigzag walkways run along the apartment walls. So individuals are eye level with your patio and can see straight into your room. The hotel is very accessible and has clearly been designed very well with wheel chair users in mind. There are very few steps; instead the paths zig-zag up and down wide and gently sloping ramps to access suites and the restaurant/reception area. Pool area is very clean and sunbeds are comfortable. However there are very few parasols and not much shaded area. You have to be literally sat on a sunbed by 8am to reserve one of the 7 or so parasols. We have asked the hotel for a parasol on a number of occasions with the response being that they are all broken. This is a deal breaker for me and my husband and we wouldn’t return to this hotel again because of this. It is simply too hot and intense heat/sun to be without a parasol. Food is good with variety. Breakfast is buffet with set menu options that can be ordered. Dinner is similar with set menu options that can be ordered for starters and main course. Then buffet restaurant for desserts. Starters menu does tend to be fish orientated. I requested a no fish starter but it was suggested that the fish just be removed from the offering - which wasn’t what I expected in a 5 star hotel. The staff are excellent and are very attentive. They do their best to accommodate you but I think they are themselves restricted with what they can do for you. On the whole, if this was a 4 star hotel, I would have rated it excellent. But they market (and price) this hotel as a 5 star which it is definitely not, hence my reduced score.…
This hotel is faultless in every way . The whole place is spotless clean , the food is fabulous and the staff are all so friendly and cannot do enough for you. Naomi , Daniela & David were amazing. We will be booking for next year .
We've just returned from staying at this fantastic hotel and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone else. From the moment we arrived we were treated like VIP's and nothing was an issue. Everywhere was clean, the gardens were kept lovely and all the staff should be proud of themselves for running such a nice establishment. If you want a nice relaxing place to stay with a very chilled out atmosphere then don't hesitate to book this. It made our Silver Wedding Anniversary an even more enjoyable experience and we couldn't fault anything.
Spent 8days at this superb boutique hotel and all I can say is it most definitely five star. From the rooms, breakfast selection, and facilities. Every single member of staff works hard and is always smiling. They are busy but never short of a smile. If I visit Lanzarote again this will be my hotel of choice -thanks for an amazing stay.
We've stayed at La Isla three times before, and visited last week as the fourth. The hotel is extremely modern and clean, with great staff and facilities. The food at breakfast is incredible and the drinks at Kentia are definitely not to be missed! The lady cleaning our room was so lovely and stopped for a chat every day, she also did a fantastic job and is a real asset to the hotel. Only feedback on this stay would be a slight lack of personable touches, that we'd received on other years. The past two years we've received a bottle of prosecco on arrival as a returning gift - this year my partner had emailed in advance to upgrade our room and informed them that he was going to propose, but we received no recognition of this or our return visit throughout the stay. Not necessarily an issue, but a slight difference to the 'welcome back' received previously. We'd still return to the hotel in a heartbeat and will definitely rebook next year, so feedback is genuinely just feedback, as we have no actual faults to find in this gorgeous hotel. …
Beautiful Hotel which exceeded expectations, staff very kind, welcoming and courteous. Room's,food, pool and facilities exceptional. Location great close to shopping centre's,beach, amenities. Definitely would go back and highly recommend hotel 👌.
Just returned from the most relaxing holiday ever, everything is excellent about this hotel from the rooms to the pool area and especially the staff, who couldn’t do enough for you. The pool area was so peaceful and there was no stress about getting sun beds at anytime during the day. Will definitely be returning
True five star experience all round. Flawless Hotel, Staff helpful and attentive. The breakfast buffet has food to suit all tastes. The room bathroom has a massive rainfall shower which feels like you are outside. 10/10
