Brilliant hotel with huge apartments. We booked a 2 bedroom which was great and had all we needed in it. The patio/balcony had sun loungers which were great as one of the 5 nights we were there I went out and enjoyed the peace (apart from the sounds of neighbours chatting which didnt bother me). My tip is to request room 3105. Yes it had a shared patio but the alleyway the front door was on leaded to near bottom of cardiac hill.
We are staying at R2 Bahia Playia...beautiful place. Lovely clean pool , tbe staff are really friendly and very helpful...thats the plus points Downside is , if your travelling with Jet 2. You will get rubbish rooms.. We paid extra to get partial sea view...but ended up with a room right at the front..above bars and noisy traffic and awful karioke bars till very late.....no chance of having the windows open at night And we were sbove a kebab shop...which thankfully was closed down..but not so thankfully building work going on ( see pics ) and some horrible extractor chimneys.... awful We had a large shared balcony with all the other guests on the same side...so they had to look through us if we were on the balcony...not good Seems the Hotel save all the best rooms for direct hotel bookers. But we had paid as much as they had.... So not happy 😠…
I stayed here for 12 nights with my partner and it was a truly wonderful stay. The hotel grounds are amazing and clean. The chill out sunbathing spots and the double beds were our fave spot. We felt like we were on the back of a cruise ship with the glorious sea view!! Location (despite cardiac hill!) is really central. Our trick was if you returned before 6pm to use the side gate half way up and at night buzz the side door and go up the stairs back to our room. Somehow the stairs did not seem as bad as climbing the hill!! You could turn right for heading towards Playa Chica and chilled old town or left for the hustle and bustle of the strip of Avenida de las Playas with restaurants, bars and shops galore. There was a lidl just less than 10 mins walk away so lovely fresh food for a great price. Staff here were really friendly and we had great experience with Olga on reception during a medical emergency 3 days in. She kindly called round doctors to help arrange the cheapest and quickest visit to our room after midnight. She even arranged for follow up when problem flared up a day before flying home. Thank you Olga!!! Shout out to Tony at the pool who was always so cheerful, happy to help and forever mopping the pool area and keeping it clean and tidy for all. Even helped us try to put up our parasol as it was trying to eat us!! A fantastic holiday had here and would recommend to anyone. After a hard 2 years for all it gave us a really lovely experience to be remembered ♥ Thanks Bahia Kontiki we will be back!!…
R2 Bahia Kontiki what a lovely place to stay beautiful views of the sea and a great buffet breakfast, the pool boys are amazing iv never seen anything like it cleaning down all the time checking if people were comfortable 5 start treatment. Probably one of the cleanest places I have been , just had a little problem with a couple of cockroachs in our 2 bed apartment maintenance did fit a strip at the bottom of the door which helped , the view from our apartment was amazing ( sea view) . We will definitely be returning 😎👍👏 🤗
We had to carry our disabled child in his pushchair un 2 flights of stairs every morning and night as there was no ramps or lifts. Eventually we were able to ring and get a gate opened each time we wanted to access, which cut out 1 flight of stairs but still not ideal. There was a wheelchair stair lift but when i enquired about it they shrugged their shoulders and replied 'we're not even sure it works'. The sofa bed in the lounge is not a sofa bed as we know it, its a wooden box with a seat cushion for a mattress, certainly not suitable for a small child to sleep on safely. There is NO TWIN rooms unless you get a 2 bed apartment. Even though Jet2 told us there were, when we questioned this we were met with more shrugs and asked did we not read their website. Pool area is very quiet, definitely more suited for couples without children. The bar and restaurant staff were all very friendly but there was one particular woman on reception who needs to attend some customer service courses. She was rude, abrupt and came across as purposely unhelpful. Lastly, and by no means the fault of the hotel, do not stay at the hotel if you struggle with walking. The road down to the front is VERY steep and even the fitness amongst us struggled with it on the way back up.…
Great location once you get used to cardiac Hill. No good for older people or little mobility. Rooms great and clean. Very quiet even during the day. No a lot of communication with staff, pool man always said morning but he was the only one. Asked the bar man for budwiser and he couldn't understand so had to point. Tried to get some chips at 6.30pm after being told the night before that the kitchen closed at 8 only to be told it shuts at 6.. lovely chill out area. Had our wedding anniversary whilst there and not even a congratulations and they were notified by my travel rep and I'd emailed as well to see if we could upgrade room but there was non availability when we got there which was ok.
Bahia Kontiki, excellent hotel. Great location, staff were pleasant and helpful, from reception, cleaners and lifeguard to the gardener, lovely people. Hotel is very well.maintained, very modern decor and furniture, bed comfortable with lots of storage. Fresh towels, private outdoor space with seating/table, tv in main and bedroom, kitchenet well stocked with essential accessories inc fridge and coffee maker. Very clean and fresh. Well maibtaibed pool great for lounging around, but the roof terrace was excellent with loads of seating or lounging options and fantastic views over the beach/sea which is sheltered from the wind. Location on a hill but only at bottom, flattens out half way up, central to beach, restaurants and entertainment. Hotel was tranquil, central, clean, welcoming and overall a great find.…
Fantastic holiday at Kontiki apartments. We had a partial sea view room which was really nice accommodation. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, which was really good. We were at the buffet breakfast one morning , which was ok for breakfast. We also had a lovely vegan salad one lunch time and the food and bar prices were good value. There seems to be plenty sun beds most days which was good. The Kontiki is pretty central ti a lot of good bars and restaurants. Excellent place and we would go back there again
Fabulous complex would defo stay here again no faults at all well maybe the little hill its sat on. The place is very clean friendly and the staff are amazing every thing about this complex is top notch the food the drink the location not very suitable for elderly people with mobility issues but definitely a place to book in to beach 2 mins away and all the restraints and bars and shops right oh the door step
These apartments are very clean and very central also well equipped but if you are looking for a little bit of luxury these are not for you. The beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The complex is nice enough and looks pretty but because of the beds I’m afraid I wouldn’t return.
