This is a fantastic hotel. We arrived on Boxing day for 2 weeks. Our room wasn't ready on arrival (we arrived at 1pm) but we were issued with a voucher for a snack and a drink. Our room was lovely with a big balcony and sun all afternoon which was great. It was on the 3rd floor.
The rooms are spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. We had a pool view and could just see the beach through the trees.
The restaurant is well run and you wait to be shown to a table but we never waited long and never had to queue.
The food was varied but only critisism was there could have been more vegetables at dinner. Breakfast was lovely and there was everything there.
The Gala dinner on New Years Eve was very good and there was wine and Cava delivered to our table all during the meal. There was also a reception before with wine and canapes etc.
Entertainment was very good most nights. Animacion team also very good. Drinks are served at your table by the waiters.

You can rent a kettle and a safe for a very reasonable price.

All the staff without exception are friendly, cheerful and helpful and really made the holiday. Nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is set in lovely, well maintained gardens.

There is a gate out from the garden to the sea front and just across the road is the beach. Lovely and flat area for walking. The hotel is situated in a great position and one way you can walk to Puerto Del Carmen - takes about an hour or quicker if you walk fast! And all the way to the Old Town. The other way you can walk to the end of the runway and watch the planes landing and taking off. Or you can walk all the way to Arrecife. But its about 7km. There are several bars and restaurants near to the hotel.

Bus stop is just up the road from the hotel. You can get to Playa Blanca, Puerto Calero, and the other way to Arrecife, Playa Honda and at the main bus station in Arrecife you can change buses and get to many other places.

We hope to return once more next New Year but well done La Geria. A truly wonderful hotel.

I just returned from 10 days in this great beachfront hotel which was spotless with high Covid compliance protocols in place and hand sanitisers placed in all key areas. The lobby and bar were beautifully decorated for Christmas and New Year with a huge crib and big tree the main features. We were met by Rita in reception who was very polite and welcoming and responded promptly to all our demands with a lovely room with sea view. All the reception Staff were very obliging at all times during our stay a special thanks also to Tomas who arranged taxi for return to airport.
The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard daily and the towels changed. There was peace and quiet at night which ensured a good night's sleep. The animation team were both very welcoming and worked long hours daily to keep guests entertained. The nightly shows were a great bonus in these challenging times and I wondered how the hotel was managing to keep standards so high with so few guests to pay Staff etc.
I and my daughter really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner each day and found the variety and quality of food to be of a very high standard. Champagne was also on offer at breakfast and eggs, bacon and omelettes cooked to guest's order usually by the friendly lady chef. A fresh array of breads and pastries were provided with plenty of fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses daily. The salads at dinner were particularly well presented and tasted even better with plenty of variety to suit every taste. Every night there was also a variety of meats and fresh fish cooked to order by the Chef. The deserts may have been a bit bland but there was plenty of choice. One could always have some cheese and fruit if desert was not chosen. The Staff work very long hours so it's hard for them to stay smiling. The bar man on duty Sun 10th at 1pm was very obliging and gave us a jug of cold milk for our tea when asked. We saw the Manager on a few occasions but he never acknowledged our presence or tried to engage with us, your guests are after all your best asset so a word or twofrom him would have been nice.
I'm not a cat lover and didn't mind them being outside but found them in the bar and on the couches downstairs inside a few
times which I didn't appreciate. All things
considered this is a great hotel with lovely food and a hard working team. We will definitely be back to see Rita and co in 2021.

We spent 9 nights here over the new year, perfect from the time we checked in to the time we left ! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they all smile through the day. Food as always was excellent, a couple of good evening shows. New Years Gala dinner was lovely. This was our 8th visit and it really does get better every year. Hotel enforces the no towels on sunbeds policy before 9am well (although you can reserve if you sit on them, which is what most people do ). We went down about 8.30 most days and got a bed in the sun.

On arrival at La Geria the reception staff greeted us in English which was very reassuring as our Spanish is minimal! They were friendly, helpful and very cheerful. We were able to hire a kettle which was brought to our room within 10 minutes together with cups and supplies. Also we rented a key to the safe.
Our room was bright, airy and spotless and was cleaned to a high standard daily. The balcony attracted the sun in the afterrnoons so we could sit and admire the view of the pool and sea.
Towels were changed whenever we requested.
The food was very good. I have a few food intolerances but was able to find something to eat at every mealtime and it was also great that the dish choices changed on a daily basis. The food couldn't be faulted.
The pool area was very pretty and also a pool side bar was available for snacks and drinks together with a seating area nearby,
Immediately over the road was the beach accessed through the private gate.
All in all we loved the hotel and in particular the friendliness of all the staff.

Loved this hotel, short 10 min transfer from the airport, very easy check in and lunch and drinks available straight away.

Rooms are all side facing the sea front to which you just cross the road and there it is.
Only criticism on our room was the AC didn’t work too well, but peaceful and comfy at night for a good sleep.

The restaurant was very clean and drinks served to your table instantly, with a good variety of fresh foods and you can watch the chefs cook your meat and fish at dinner. Perfect breakfast and lunch choice too.

Bar is open all day and again very good bar service with ample choice of drinks - we went all inclusive ( and why wouldn’t you with all those cocktails included)

All staff were very friendly and attentive so a much deserved tip.

Pool and garden areas are super clean with plenty of sun-beds available - early birds who think they’re smart reserving beds have their towels removed before 9am.

It’s a quiet location but a short walk to the left out of beach entrance you’ll find local shops and restaurants along the promenade, 10 minute taxi journey right costing €6 euros to the Harbour you’ll find more crazy hustle and bustle.

It’s quite windy so take something warm for the evenings

Highly recommend.

We stayed here for 3rd time, and our first trip abroad since covid. The public areas had been refurbished, very white, clean and spacious. The guest rooms are comfortable, with good storage but are beginning to look a little tired, in need of an update. The staff are friendly and efficient. Housekeeping is daily. We chose not to have our room cleaned one day as we were having a lazy day and the reception rang us late afternoon to check all was well and if we needed anything as they had noted the maid hadn't serviced our room.
We stayed bed and breakfast only. Good variety of food, hot and cold. Coffee/tea machines were not always reliable though.
Nice pool area, but water is very cold.
Covid measures eg, sanitiser, mask wearing, were in place, so we felt protected.
In great location, right on sea front and lots of bars and restaurants within minutes walk, but feels quieter than on main Puerto del Carmen strip.

This was our fourth visit to Hipotels La Geria and we have always thoroughly enjoyed our stays. The hotel staff worked extremely hard to make our stay enjoyable, from the initial greeting at reception, to the waiters and cleaning staff. Due to their recent reopening, there were one or two noticeable teething problems, such as lack of sun brollies around the pool and fewer waiters serving in the bar area, especially during the evening. We are aware that complaints were made about these issues and to a large extent, were addressed.
Our room and the hotel were kept spotlessly clean as on our previous visits.
We thought it was a very nice gesture that the hotel paid for the guests pre departure antigen test, saving us, as a couple, almost €60.
I particularly found the spa to be very good value and offered a wide range of treatments. The staff were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit.
We feel that in the midst of this current climate, guests should appreciate the effort that the management and staff go to, to make their guests feel welcome and safe and thereby enjoy their holiday.
We certainly appreciated the efforts made by the management and staff at La Geria and as a consequence we did enjoy our holiday and will return.

On arrival very pleasent welcome. Good information regarding room, dinning and bar facilities. Also told abaout the pool policy and given a [iece of paper with the instruction about the non reservation of pool beds before 9 a.m. ( totally ingnored by most of the guests). Also advised to book a table for Christmas day Gala dinner and New Years Eve Gala dinner, We were also given the choice of two sittings for evening meals.

Room cleaned every day to a very high standard as was all the hotel areas inside and out. Garden and pool areas immaculate too.

Both breakfast and evening meal choices were excellent and plenty of choices. As well as being delicious all looked pleasing on the eye.

For both Gala meals there were drinks and aperitives before hand this also gave us a chance to chat to other guests.

Christmas day Gala so much choice and wine , cava and water served with the meal.
New Year's eve gala dinner again phenominal also with wine, cave and water. Entertainment and Firework display for New Year just fantastic.

A big thankyou to the chefs and their teams for all the fabulous and tasty food they provided not only on the Gala dinners but for each day.

The hotel is in a great location with a beach just across the road abd bus stops near by for Areciefe, Coata Teguise, ( Outside Los Jameos Playa Hotel) On the other side of the road Buses to Puerto del Carmen ( Nice walk if you fancy it) Puerto Calero and Playa Blanca,

Great restaurants and bars around the harbour in the old town.

Only one little niggle was the towel brigade. Lots of trees which did shade most of the space away from the pool area. Wiggle beds around to follow the sun. Or go across to the lovely clean beach,

Thankyou to all the fantastic staff , we had a fabulous stay,

We have just got back from a weeks holiday staying at La Geria hotel in Los Pocillos. We travelled as a family of 5 with three children aged 10 and under. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel has a wonderful location directly opposite the beach and close to some very good restaurants if you fancy eating out among which Mumbai Masala and La Molina were our particular favourites. The hotel sits on the northern edge of Puerto del Carmen and is a 10 minute taxi ride away which will cost about 6-7 euros. The hotel itself is a lovely building which is kept very clean and tidy and has an excellent pool area with gardens. The restaurant is also very good as was the choice of breakfast food. We had two rooms both with good views of the pool area and the beach beyond and these were kept spotlessly clean and were done every day. The reception staff were very good concerning check in and check out and there is a small luggage room if you need to keep it somewhere safe while waiting for pick up. Evening entertainment was varied and on the whole enjoyable. Our children loved the magic act as well as the acrobatic troupe. We did however find the drinks prices expensive. The La Geria has an international clientele which were predominantly couples and of a certain age. The hotel caters for children with a kids club available and a shallow area of the pool for the little ones as well as mini golf, petanque, table tennis and a host of daily activities. We did however get the feeling that kids were expected to be seen and not heard. Our children were not allowed to play with inflatable toys in the pool. We were told this was a '' health & safety'' issue but there was a life guard on duty at all times and our children were kept under supervision at all times. I would have liked to award the La Geria four and a half on this review but I can't. I feel that awarding 4 would have been a little stingy so 5 it is. Our slight gripes really didn't affect our stay so I am happy to recommend the La Geria hotel to every one but would advise parents with children to take a look at reviews from people who have stayed here during the summer months (peak season) to get a more informed opinion. As we stayed here during February maybe it's not the best time to stay with kids. Thanks for reading our review.
