Situated a short walk from the old town , Gloria Izaro is a nice clean apartment complex..Lovely pool area and nice bar..Staff very friendly .I would of liked an apartment with a balcony but thats not their fault..
My partner and I stayed here in September. Booked through jet 2 . As usual jet 2 are a bit lean with the truth on distances and area. To get to center of resort It's a walk down a very steep hill . You end up in a rather old and run down area with few bars and cafes . Then you have to climb another hill to get to a shopping precinct . Then down another hill to the center of puerto del Carmen. How ever hotel was close to bus stops on corner so we had a trip to playa Blanca which is a lovley place .only cost a couple of euros on public transport .if you go to center I advise bus or taxi back to hotel up the hills . The hotel is nice we hod a lovley room up the top great veiw of sea and massive balcony with 2 sun beds and table and chaires . Room spacias and clean .but we did have to request our sheets changed after 5 nights maid came in every day but only emptied bins and changed towels I had to ask her once during our stay to sweep and mop floor which was not done regular either . Same people saving sun beds all the time so glad we had our own . staff clearing dishes not all that freindly. or the chefs .bit stand ofish realy .bar not cheap .better value prices at pool bar snacks where good to .we had a late flight coming home so requested a room for the day as we couldn't stay in ours hotel full paid 25 euros for it ..Oh by the way food is not very hot either . So nice hotel just too far out we ate fit and we struggled up those bloody hills especially in the heat .…
The fact we had our third stay here and are looking to shortly book our fourth should speak volumes about this hotel. The hotel we find just so relaxing and certainly place to recharge your batteries. The amenities and facilities are excellent and as described but what sets this hotel apart is the whole staff. Extremely friendly, nothing is too mush and they just go that extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. A lot of talk of is the hill from the hotel down to the harbour but as always my solution is to walk down and then spend three Euros in a taxi back
Fantastic hotel + lovely staff, my power wheelchair broke down, + miguel spent hours helping out, to try + fix it so did a couple of his work friends, can’t thank them enough for the help, the staff in the restaurant was lovely + accommodating, so was the barman alway smiling, now to fefe loved loved loved her💜 she is one special lady, always smiling + helped where ever she can, in between her siesta always had her legs up on cocktails hehe😃 fefe phoned a technician to come out to get my chair repaired, thank goodness it got done +running well, so glad I added gloria izaro club to my bucket list, hopefully when I get through everything I want to see, I will get back to see everyone especially fefe, thank u for amazing time. Xxx
Just come back from spending 10 lovely days at the Izaro, we have been here many times before and it was a lovely surprise to see the new look, very nice and comfortable, we would especially like to mention, Aileena, Pedro (Tom Cruiz) and Nurua for their attentive service, always smiling and courteous, all the staff including the receptionist are a credit to this hotel, there were a couple of issues we experienced this time, 1 of which our room wasn't cleaned to the usual standard, but we mentioned this to the receptionist and the room was deep cleaned immediately and continued for the rest of our stay to the same standard, the only other niggle I had was the food was not always to my taste and what I did like was sometimes cold, my husband didn't have the any issues really, we also met some fab people making our holiday once again excellent, and have already booked for next year, see you all soon 😀 …
This was our fifth trip to Gloria Izaro Club Hotel and we continue to enjoy it. The hotel is extremely clean, well run and has very friendly and genuinely nice staff. It tends to be quiet with few large groups and when there is a "large" group it tends to be a family or extended family. Food is fine, and there restaurants to suit all budgets nearby. It's located a short walk away from the port and marina, and a slightly longer one to the beach. The hill up from the beach and port may prove a challenge to some people but taxis are usually easy to find and offer reasonably priced way to ascend it.
I loved my stay at the Gloria Izaro Club Hotel. It was just such a pretty hotel with good accessibility to the pool, bar and restaurant. My entire family was very pleased with the hotel and the location. It wasn’t noisy at night because it was quite set back from the beach front. Although you had to walk up and down the hill to get to the main part of Puerto Del Carmen from the hotel, the walk took 30 minutes maximum, and that was for my whole family. There was daily cleaning apart from a Wednesday. The receptionist was lovely too. We went half board so got breakfast and dinner included. We had a half board option at only £100 extra so we thought it was a no brainier. We ate breakfast in the hotel every morning and the waiting on staff were very attentive to your needs. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel every night as we do like to try other restaurants while abroad. The drinks in the hotel were not a bad price at all and the food was delicious. Our flight coming in was going to be later than the dinner time in the restaurant so we had asked ahead if there was going to be an option for a small packed lunch sort of thing. When we got into the hotel, we went straight to the restaurant from check in at about 10:15pm and there were still waiting staff there letting you help yourself to water and clearing plates when you were done. There was a wide selection of food that was cling film wrapped so it retained some heat. The food catered for my whole family and the hotel really didn’t need to provide food for us because it’s not like it’s their fault that we had a late flight. It was just such a lovely touch. Also, we stayed for entertainment one night and watched Gerri B, she was such good fun and really got the crowd going. All in all, an amazing hotel and I really do recommend staying there.…
First stay at this hotel and loved every minute of it. The staff were great and a special mention to Elkin who did the daily activities. Water polo was great to watch and participate in! The hotel is so clean and we had a beautiful holiday. Will be re booking for 2023.
Great hotel , location , staff and room was great . But one thing that was annoying I had a late flight going home , they have zero facilities for you to get changed or have a wash or anything at the hotel which is kinda weird for a 4 star hotel . 🙂🙂🙂
Our 3rd stay in this fantastic hotel and well worth the 5 out of 5 review. We stayed here for a week half board with a family of 5 in a 2 bedroomed apartment. It was clean , tidy and spacious. Great food choice in the restaurant, morning and evening special mention to Nuria who goes above and beyond to make our stay extra special. All the staff work so hard and are a credit to the hotel. (Pedro what a legend!!!!) Pool area is also clean and tidy and is well looked after no litter around. Would recommend staying here without a doubt👌
