I was made feel very welcome when I arrived at Pension Magec. The hospitality I received from the management and other guests was amazing. Its a very friendly place. The property is very clean and my room was cleaned everyday. The management are extremely helpful. The management will go out of their way ensure that guests needs are met all times. Carla is lovely as are everyone else works there including Sandi the manager
The view from the top veranda is stunning.
The guests can sit and have a drink and chat together on the veranda. As a solo traveller you would never be lonely and its very safe. Everyone talks to each other when up on the veranda. You are made feel welcome by both management and other guests at all times. There is always someone to talk to. I felt we were like a big happy family. There is free tea and coffee at the property. I would highly recommend Pension Magec as its very central. Kind regards Anna from Ireland

I have stayed here on a number occasions.
Pension Magsec is away from the main strip and is consequently a nice, quiet, relaxed place to stay.
Straight forward accommodation with choice of en-suite or shared bathroom. No cooking
facilities available apart from a microwave,no bar, no swimming pool, but very close to many eateries and bars. Also, 5 minutes walk to supermarket in La Biosfera shopping centre.
The pension is run by a very friendly and helpful Canarian family who know the island very well.
There is always someone around to assist with queries and travel info. This also gives a sense of security to the place.
Everything is spotlessly clean, with linen and towels changed frequently and rooms checked daily.
There is a terrace on the top floor for anyone to use and view the sea and the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.
The sea is a 2 minute walk away and the pension is situated in the Old Town part of Puerto del Carmen, but only 10 minutes walk from main Avenida de las Playas tourist strip...5 miles of white sand beaches with all amenities at hand.
Perfect for anyone travelling independently on a budget...
I will be staying there in a couple of weeks...Can't wait !!!

errible place. The women who works there is super super rude. She actually tried to kick us out even though we had paid. We shown her the confirmation but she told us to get out. We had to pay cash as we was extending a night stay. Because of her stupidity we paid twice and as she never answer the phone from Hotels.com we can’t get a refund on the money paid. Awful place. If running around on the floor too.

Stayed here for 4 days at the beginning of June. Never had my sheets changed once, had towels changed once the whole stay. There was a mix up with the payment from booking.com and the staff member told us to get out unless we make payment straight away. She was rude and had an attitude problem, she certainly should not be working in a customer facing role.If she worked for me she would of been sacked a long time ago.The other staff I dealt with were helpful and friendly, just not this one.
Would I stay again?

"I booked in here, (was not allowed into room until after 3pm) just for one night at the end of a holiday. Reception staff, friendly, and the place is quite central to the old town! On initial inspection, room 34, though very small, seemed reasonably clean, however after retiring to bed at approx 12.30am my wife was awoken at 4.30am to a small insect crawling across her face! We immediately jumped from the bed, lifted the mattress to find these filthy bedbugs crawling about in their faeces (video evidence) !!! We immediately packed our belongings and left, there didn’t seem to be any receptionist about! I contacted the said establishment, not once, but twice to which I was completely ignored! It was only on contacting booking.com and showed them my video, that I finally was awarded a refund of my money, BIG DEAL!!! All I wanted was a complete apology,I still never got it!!! I know it’s a budget establishment but in this day and age there is no excuse for this filth!!!! You want stay here? Check the bed is thoroughly clean!!!"

I didnt even know what a pensione was until after I booked and my wife told me! I was basically told to fear the worse; hippies, scruffy accommodation, stolen food from communal areas etc, etc, etc. Absolute rubbish! The best value for money accommodation that I would recommend for anyone!

Booked through booking.com, paid on arrival, no issues, until I returned back to the UK when I was charged again by booking.com, both booking.com and myself were unable to contact Pension Magec via phone or email. Be aware

They tell you midday but in truth that means after 3pm!
hola.creo understand you want a hotel near the pension? .le can recommend Costa Volcan Apartments
