All i wanted was to relax / recouperate. But the apartment we had at the front did not allow any relaxation. The constant buses, deliveries, taxi’s slamming there doors all day long, the irish parties until 2a.m at the bar, the potting of balls on the pool table , the slamming of apartment doors as none of them shut properly, the complex workshop… it go’s on… terrible place to stay, and i wont even start on the selfish sunbed situ…zero stars!

Lovely room tho did need the staff to come in and sort smelly bathroom they did so v quickly , a real sunbed issue tho good to see the guy clearing towels where selfish people put them on them go to beach for hours !! Food was very good for a 2* hotel Staff were friendly enough tho got to say Daniel who oversaw the pool bar and restaurant was a real funny friendly guy an asset to the hotel he really is , would say tho All around the pool area needs to be kept cleaner than it was and some of the umbrellas ☂ need replacement, all in all a good holiday

We are a family of 3 who stayed here for a week and returned home yesterday. Overall our stay here was average. The grounds and the public areas of the hotel are nicely refurbished and care taken each day to ensure they were clean. We ate at the snack bar for lunch one day and the food was nice and reasonably priced. The rooms are in need of an update. The bedroom looked like it had recently been refurbished however the bathrooms need an update and general maintenance on them needs to be improved. The sunbed situation is also an issue, if you weren’t up before 7 there was no chance of getting a bed with a parasol and by 7.30 nearly every morning there were no beds left at either pool. Luckily for us our room was directly opposite the pool so we used our balcony as a base to ensure we had shade. This did make it difficult for our daughter to stay in the pool as much as she would have liked too as we didn’t feel we were close enough to her to watch her should she be in there on her own. The rooms would benefit from air con however we knew this before we arrived so cannot complain too much. We were supplied with one fan in the room and we were able to hire another which helped to cool the rooms down. Overall we were happy with our stay as we got a good deal for the three of us but sadly we won’t be returning as we have stayed in better accommodation in the same area for the same price.

The rooms were nice but no aircon although a fan was provided. The pool was nice and there is a second quieter pool. Breakfast was fine although the sausages were not great. Sadly the sunbed reservation game was in full swing and frankly left me a bit embarrassed at my fellow Brits. The hotel have tried to stop it with signs but sadly they were ignored. The hotel is 10 mins walk from the beach down a steep hill so the walk back up is not for the physically less able. Its a good place for a hassle free family holiday. The town has some nice restaurants and lots of British/Irish pubs which is good if you want to watch a game.. Near the harbour is a bit more relaxed and a little bit more Spanish. Playa Chica is a small beach near the harbour which has better snorkelling than the much larger main beach. Be warned if you have little kids the water gets deep at the beaches quickly. I swam out quite far and saw a tuna swimming about ....it was pretty deep.

We've stayed here before and requested same room which the hotel were happy to accommodate. Great reception staff and pool bar is handled well by Ayoub Daoub and Zak. Rooms spotless and gardens and pool immaculate. Nice pool with separate kiddie pool. Only criticism in food offering in rest is poor. Bar food ok but they miss few opportunities to expand their menu. 5min walk to the Avenida (down steps) and about 10 to Biosfera and 15 to old port. All in all very good base in PdC.

The Lomo Blanco apartments are set in a good location, and the grounds are pretty and well kept. The steps down to the strip aren’t as bad as some people have said, although we’re relatively fit. However, regrettably, I don’t think we would stay at Lomo Blanco again, for a number of reasons; the rooms really need the option of air con, in peak season the apartments are uncomfortably hot, and the fan we were given just circulated hot air. Also the fan could only be plugged in in the living room as oddly there were no plugs in the bedroom…. The bathroom could do with a freshen up/deep clean; there were marks and scuffs in the bath and toilet. The shower head wasn’t adjustable in height. The bathroom also had a horrible smell on and off throughout the day, presumably the drainage. Overall the apartment was a little tired and bleak. The toaster also managed to knock out all the electrics the first time I used it. There are no where near enough sunbeds and parasols for the number of guests the apartments cater which results in people getting up early to reserve beds. The sunbeds and parasols also need replacing. Members of staff do remove towels if people aren’t using them and I witnessed this a couple of times. I tend to agree with other reviews that investing in air con and additional/new sunbeds would make the apartments more desirable.

Have to be up by 6.30am to get a sunbed. Says no reserving of sunbeds but people do. Loads of space for more but nope just not enough, even the smaller pool could have loads more save getting up extremely early.

Stayed at Lomo Blanco 16-23rd of July and, unfortunately, my partner and I were disappointed. We stayed in a ground floor apartment in Block B, to say it was basic would be an understatement , very dark, bleak lighting, tired old furniture, peeling paint, cracked tiles and walls etc. There’s no air conditioning and, it being July, it was very hot, we had to hire a fan for €15 plus a €10 deposit, I think this is very bad practice in a very hot country. Plus with it only being a fan it only keeps a minute area cool. The small pool which is located in block b is cold but that’s welcoming, but beware there aren’t enough sun beds, apparently the guard sometimes moves towels if people haven’t been there for ages but I never saw evidence of this, I did see people leave towels on beds and go off for the day though- utterly selfish. We only had one full pool day as I really couldn’t be bothered, we had two gorgeous days at the beach though. The smaller pool is supposed to be the quiet pool but there were some really loud children in it later in the week. I think the bigger pool in block a should be for kids, this pool is just too small for dinghy’s etc and the kids were jumping in and out and that’s fine but not in a tiny pool like this.we noticed all sun beds at the big pool were always taken too, some sad individuals put their towels out before 6am!! The hotel grounds are really pretty and well kept and they’re regularly visited by parakeets who are lovely to see. Lomo Blanco is at the top of a massive hill, we would take the steps down and back up (or a taxi after a few drinks on a night!) the steps are mega steep but we’re reasonably fit so we were fine but it really would be a big issue if you had limited mobility. PdC is an amazing place! The steps bring you out at Linekers bar, you go left for the strip or right for old town/harbour. We had some brilliant nights out down the strip and I’d recommend Capri and La Rustica and Indian Aroma for gorgeous meals, and Tequila bar for a great rock band. The harbour area is stunning, very picturesque. In essence, I think Block A is probably the nicer part of Lomo Blanco, the apartments look updated, block b does need some money investing in it. Little touches like an electric kettle!! Free WiFi and air con would have helped. We wouldn’t stay at this hotel again, even just as a base it is really lacking but we’d def return to PdC though.

Lovely 7 nights stay in these apartments. A few adjustments could be made to make this hotel just perfect - air con, free Wi-Fi that works, new Sunbeds and parasols, and someone who cleans the pool area in the evening, just to make that morning walk down to the tidy pool area a bit more relaxing. Beautiful gardens surrounding the pool. We were lucky enough to be in room 213 with a clear view of the pool! Cleaners could also sweep the floors a bit more throughly but that’s me being picky! Location was spot on! Right in the middle of the new and old town. Took us 10 minutes if that to walk to the beach road. The steps and so called “cardiac hill” are really not that bad. Pool bar food was fab, not overly expensive. Showers available if you’ve a late flight home. Hotel advised us to book a time slot for the showers in advance due to us staying in peak times. Overall a lovely, relaxing holiday
