Suite Hotel Montana Club garners appreciation for its spotless, spacious rooms and the friendly, helpful service provided by its staff, according to guest reviews. The hotel's location is a hit among visitors, offering tranquility as well as proximity to local nightlife.
However, opinions on the hotel's atmosphere are divided; some guests find the decor outdated. Additionally, while the cleanliness is consistently praised, there are concerns about value for money and the overcrowding of pools.

We (family of 3)are just back from a beautiful stay in the Montana Club. We are frequent visitors to PDc but have never stayed here before. I was a little nervous after reading some reviews that the older apartments were not that nice so I emailed the hotel to ask if it was to have one of for refurbished apartments and they said no problem. We checked in on Sunday night to apartment 121 by a lovely friendly guy on reception . He was really helpful and worked most evenings in the bar/restaurant/reception. He was really chatty and helpful. Our apartment 121 was just a couple of steps from reception and from one of the pools (this one is adult only and really chilled out ) our room was fabulous , just as shown on tne website, Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, spacious, double comfy sofa bed in the sitting room. Beautiful spacious walk in shower, loads of towels , wardrobe space and fabulous air con which would be a god send on the hotter summer months. Doors are key carded and the main door is key card only from 11pm. Apartments have a toaster , microwave. Cooker and loads of utensils and crockery. To the left of reception and only a short walk was the second pool which had the kids area. Loads of sunloungers at both pools with cushions provided , a life guard at pool pools and the pools were warm and very clean. There was some renovation work going on in the rooms around this pool obviously brining them to the same level as the other rooms which for some might have been annoying as it was drilling but it didn’t bother us as it just means all The rooms are Planned to be done up by next year. The food in the pool bar was delicious & reasonable. Th staff in the restaurant were so friendly & welcoming . Just a short walk 2 mins from the apartments is a large Spar Shop. Just a 5 min no hills walk and your on the strip at cafe le ola. We tended to get taxis most nights as we were going to old town end of strip to meet friends and its was only €4 in a taxi. All in all a wonderful stay in the Montana Club and we will definitely be back.

We recently stayed here for the first time for 4 nights we had a great stay we booked one of the refurb suites and I must say the suite was great. The sofa folds down for a double bed and I slept on it one night and it was comfy not like other places h have stayed . The suite was spotless and we like that the shower was a walk in and also not slippy. They provided us with washing up liquid and a scourer someon mentioned that they gave you a dish towel but I couldn’t see one but I had brought my own.
I will agree with another review about the towels they are very thin and could be doing with a upgrade.
I emailed beforehand and asked for a upper floor apartment and if possible one that got the sun which we did get room 222 which had a pool view as well as a great balcony with the sun from at least 1030 till after 5pm.
One thing they kind of put us off was the size of the pool I guess as we are used to going to places with bigger pools etc not sure but I think in peak times it would be pretty overcrowded
The safe was 2.50 euro a night and you can rent a iron for 10 euros which is refundable when you hand it back
We would definitely return again in the future and location wise it’s not too far from the strip and a spar at the end of the road

Stayed here with my partner and Little boy. We were given one of the new modern rooms and it was nice, Clears came around every 2 days and done a great job, swapped towels and where lovely ladies. The staff all round were lovely..The women behind the reception and the people behind the bar where all great.
There was washing machines beside room 109 which was great and was used by ourselfs alot....It was great the the bar could give out some change for the machines.
Went for a swim every day but the pool was a little cold for a 2 year old (In march anyway).
The hotel as everyone has mentioned is a short walk from spar and not to far away from the main strip.
We rented a car for 2 days and where able to park outside the hotel no problem at all but if the strip was busier you may have to park further away from the front.
Wifi worked very well for me on my phone and tablet...They give you a password when checking in...a login screen will come up on your device and you input the password.
Engish stations on the TV where hit and miss but this didn't worry me...i didn't come on holidays to watch tv!!
I found the hotel lovely and very very quite....When you have a 2 year old who wants to shout and play...he stands out as its very quite round the pool...Perhaps some music around the pool but music might not suite everyone and some like the quietness...If your bringing children....don't expect any major entertainment other than a tv and pool table in the bar and books.

Still at Montana but had to write on some issues on this visit.
Lighting around tv and around the Sofa not working from mains switch. Told at reception Nicolas was not fixing these for some reason so very dark at dusk and need a reading light for reading.
Should be heating available in winter months but told some like air con so up to maintenance if they switch. I’m not holding my breath for that one as tall maintenance guy very grumpy and sometimes rude. He also insists on hosing the new sunbed cushions down every morning as although the outer covers are waterproof the inner sponges are sodden, and remain sodden all day. Even too heavy to lift from the beds. Yes wipe down, but not hose, as they will not last 6 months
Towels are very worn now too and don’t dry as should so need replacing as there should be maintenance schedule for them in respect of shelf life.
Very big plus is the cleaning, bar and reception staff who go over and above, always polite and helpful. 5 star..
Costs for September stay up 40% although it’s the other side being upgraded, as although costs have risen over the past year seems very excessive. Be pricing themselves out if not careful.
All that said we come 4 times a year spending over €9000 so must be a lot of pluses.

We arrived end of October and are still here until Wed next week. Staying as a family of 10 in three apartments. One of our group always stays here and although basic self catering it is clean, towels changed every two days and the apartments are big enough for a family of four. We have a ground floor standard apartment overlooking the pool with a nice terrace. It's basic but they give you washing up liquid a tea towel and some mini bathroom toiletries. There are two single beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. Under the sofa there is another single that pulls out and has legs so it is off the floor and the same height as the sofa. The beds are fine. The apartments that have been renovated are by another pool but I think the standard ones will be being renovated and done for August next year they have said. We booked for half term and it was more expensive than what we would pay for self catering for a week and didn't get the free child place but we wanted to be together and it's in a good location. The kids are loving the pool. Close to a spar shop and the staff are all lovely and friendly. Weather has been great. There are restaurants and bars within a five min walk. If you want a nicer apartment book the refurbished ones but the standard ones are clean and have the necessities for a self catering holiday and air con. Happy hour every day at 4.30pm. We would return.

Just returned from Montana after a wonderful week’s stay! Arrived late morning and was able to check in immediately which was great! lovely reception welcome, all staff are so nice and you can see they all work so hard! We had a top floor room on the newly refurbished side which was a wonderful room, had the sun all day. Rooms are very spacious, clean and tidy. Fabulous walk in shower which is very powerful! Kitchen had kettle, toaster and plenty of cutlery, plates and glasses etc! It was also nice to have a washing up sponge, fairy liquid and tea towel supplied which many apartments don’t! Sofa in lounge is very comfy and pulls out as sofa bed if required! The pool was cleaned every day and had lovely padded sun loungers! The whole complex is spotless and all staff work hard, constantly to maintain it. The pool bar is large and open until midnight every day. Good choice of food and drinks! Large TV’s which shows all sports. Location of apartments are approx 5-6 mins walk to main strip (opposite the casino), great location. The First and Last Bar and La Cana on the road down to strip are great bars and would recommend! There is a Spar just by apartments which is well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again, one of the nicest complex’s we have stayed in, in PDC.
If I had some feedback for Montana it would be, update your bathroom towels! They are old, thin and after a day really needed changing! Apart from that I have no complaints!!

Just got back from a two week stay here, we stayed in the older side on the complex the rooms were spacious and clean and even though we probably got the worst rooms (107 & 108 both with the view of a brick wall), we thought they were more than adequate for the price we paid. Wifi was brilliant all over Including in the room, free air conditioning which I would imagine comes in really useful in most of the rooms, but ours was quite cool anyway because of its location. As for the sunbed situation, there was not a day went by where you could not a sunbed before 10am, yes people reserved them and did not surface while later, which is annoying, but if you did not want a specific spot you could get a sunbed. Staff were helpful and friendly though the bar staff must get bored because not many people use it. That brings me to the only downside of the complex, the prices in the bar are REALLY expensive, we could get 3 pints in the resort for the price of 1 at the the hotel and a bacon sandwich ( bacon on two slices of toast) was €6-50 !!, this is a shame because we are the type of people who like to have a couple of drinks and socialise in the bar after getting a bit of sun round the pool 😒. We would consider staying here again, but would definitely stay here again if the bar and restaurant prices were more reasonable.

Second time here last time nov 2024 terrace in the corner very little sun but enjoyed pool and rooms very clean. Came back in March 2025 paid extra for updated rooms first offered a room in the corner again with terrace not even facing pool but road with little chance of sun asked to be moved got option of basement room facing brick wall or the one we took under a stair with view of bar roof, was not expecting this when upgrading. The apartments and pool are lovely but do not rely on satellite tv they say they have it was intermittent all week and kept saying someone was coming the next day. Last day still cannot get satelite asked again and said getting looked at tomorrow, not acceptable after a week. If upgrading do not expect pool view with sunny balcony

We stayed in an older style apartment and I would recommend paying the extra for the refurbished suites as the one we stayed in was very dated. 2 pools one heated and very deep. Small area for children then main pool just drops off after one foot to nearly 2 meters! Other pool is freezing but only 1 meter 50 so much safer. Use of inflatables is allowed. Life guard on patrol at one pool. Walls are thin as others have said so when they do get round to refurbishing the other side they really need to think about sound proofing but in the meantime take earplugs! We paid for breakfast thru Jet2 only to realise it was just choose off the menu! Jet2 gave us a refund on request. Spar is one minute away but a taxi to Lidl would be 3 euro recommend going there on your fist day as the spar is expensive and limited. Italian near the spar does lovely food worth a visit but avoid the tapas place further down as mainly a drinking place and very poor service. Our favourite nearby restaurant was Stefanos Atlantic lounge (Greek), 10 min walk away and right on the ocean front with amazing views. Easy to miss and gets busy so book ahead. This complex is very clean but the dated rooms just feel dirty from wear and tear and the blue towels and floral bedding / curtains etc bedding are just awful! We were in room 115 which had tired looking green outdoor furniture which we didn’t really want to sit and have a snack at it was that old! It also felt a little line we weee in the cellar as we were in the middle behind the bar but it worked to make our 4 year old feel a little trapped in away from the pools and reception did say we could move when another room came available if we wanted to. They also let us keep the room on as we had a late flight. This was very much appreciated. The bar staff work very very hard, every time we walked thru the bar they were never stood still always cleaning glasses or the hot plate. Cleaners also work hard. I would go back to this complex and pay extra for the modern room. Hadn’t stayed in puerto del carmen for twenty years. It is a little bit brits abroad type place but all in all we picked our restaurants wisely and was lucky with the weather so had a good time.

This is our third time here Overall it’s a great little place! Clean spacious room Friendly staff and a good location and importantly good air con! So why only 4 stars? There are two types of accommodation one side is older and a little dated (but still comfortable) The other side has been refurbished and a lot more modern each side having its own pool. The guests from the older side must literally set their alarms for the middle of the night (it was still dark) They come across to the modern pool and place their towels on ALL of the sun loungers! It’s 6.45am and not one lounger available! Not one person is sat on one and won’t be till at least 10 am Some are empty long after that. Despite signs asking guests not to do this the staff do nothing to stop this. So although I personally have enjoyed my stay here it would have been nice to occasionally be able to sit by the pool.
