I booked this hotel for 1 night for my boyfriends birthday as we are residents on the island and the staff went above and beyond!they upgraded us to a deluxe suite which was absolutely amazing with champagne and wine waiting for us! From the staff,to how clean it is and the amazing spa and swimming area i couldnt recommended this hotel enough. We got the couples massage which i highly recommend! One of the best stays in a hotel I've ever had.

This was my first stay at Lava Beach & it most certainly won't be my last. The hotel is situated in the less busy area of Puerto Del Carmen, Matagorda , less than 10 minutes in a taxi to the strip or old town, less than €5 fare. I prefer this end of PDC, it has a few restaurants and pubs nearby without all the traffic of PDC. The hotel itself is just beautiful. It only opened in 2018 so is still very new. The rooms are big with fantastic views to the sea from just about all rooms. The staff in every department of the hotel were fantastic. Always cheerful and friendly and very helpful. We ended up staying a second week & will return the next time we visit Lanzarote.

From the reception, to the rooms, to the pool area and restaurant this place is beyond amazing! We had last minute change of plans and came to Lanzarote in December 2020 and chose to come here and it definitely wasn’t a mistake. We can on the reopening date 19/12/2020 after they had 9 months shut and everything was clean, safe and all the staff were incredibly grateful and friendly to everyone in the resort. The lifeguards keep everything tidy round the pool and clean down the beds once they’ve been used and clean the handrails all around the pool area. The rooms are WOW nothing else to say they are so comfortable and beautifully decorated. I would recommend this hotel to absolutely anybody and will definitely be coming back!

We were lucky with our trip as we flew home from Lanzarote just as Spain was being locked-down, so were relatively unaffected by Coronavirus. In previous years we have stayed at the nearby (very nice) Costa Sal apartments, but decided to upscale and try out this new 5-star hotel in 2020. We were not disappointed with the Lava Beach and there is lots to recommend. Firstly, it's a new hotel, so everything is in great working order and the building gleams and sparkles. We had a second floor room which overlooked the paddle tennis court and offered a sea view, so we could watch the world go by and the planes land at nearby Arrecife airport . Our room was very light and spacious, plenty of room to chill out, with two chairs as well as a huge comfy bed (two large singles pushed together), lots of storage space, TV, and a mini fridge. We knew there was a Nespresso coffee machine so brought extra capsules. We loved the walk-in shower space and the two sinks - so again plenty of space for toiletries and to get ready in tandem. The toilet also functions as a bidet and has varying temperature settings! Additionally, we only had the breakfast buffet package as we enjoying eating out at restaurants the evenings, but were very impressed with the breakfast options. The bircher muesli was delicious as were the freshly made smoothies, and fresh bread. The cooked breakfast options were also good - although one small grumble - the bacon was very oily and streaky. There's also cava if you want to start off the day with a glass. of fizz. I should also mention the pool which was great - long enough to swim some laps and heated perfectly. Staff throughout the hotel were professional and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay, and the hotel really helped make it feel like a proper relaxing break. We hope to return in 2021 when hopefully the world will have resumed normal service again. As I write this, I hope the Lava Beach can open its welcoming doors again before too long.

The hotel is located on the promenade across from the beach and only 15 minutes from the airport. Locked access to the prom and often find people taking photos through the glass fence. Great gardens. One large pool and a 30cm one with bubble beds. Lots of beds and brolleys. Free towels. No flies. Spa has a good steam and sauna with hot tub outside. We had a junior suite which had two rooms, two TVs, great shower room, free safe, coffee machine, large balcony and very clean. Mostly slightly older couples with entertainment to match. Great WiFi, even at the pool. Food was buffet so only warm but the main item, meat or fish etc was cooked to order (including eggs at breakfast) so quite acceptable to me. Staff were very friendly. We had to stay an extra 5 nights due to the virus which cost us an extra €1000.
