Swallows Nest is situated on the edges of Winterton town and is a beautiful tranquil spot great for some peace and quiet. The owners are warm and friendly and the resident house cat provides a sense of home.

My new wife and I were greeted with a warm welcome and enjoyed the friendly service throughout our stay. The breakfasts were PERFECT! All our needs were catered for and the management went above and beyond with advising us on local happenings.

The service was excellent. Poppet and her assistant Sipiwe walked the extra mile. They were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there and will definitely go back and also recommend it to our friends.

We required overnight accommodation to have an early start for our balloon ride. This establishment was very close to where we needed to be and in central Winterton, close to the central berg too. We loved the privacy the cottage offered.

We really enjoyed our stay at swallows nest. The lodge is located close to all main attractions. It is also easy to access food and drinks if needed as lodge is in the town. Great for central drakensburg sight seeing.thanks poppet

Very arrogant assistant, impatient, and rude. However, we had a wonderful person when we were making a booking and allowed us to add more people. we enjoyed the way breakfast is arranged in that way there
