Location suits for motorists, not great for those on public transport. Seventies-age hotel with old rooms and renovated rooms. They have some association with the Van der Valk chain (e.g. labeled bathroom amenities) and that is exactly the hotel category it aims for. Room was quite good value for money: family room, renovated, huge bathroom with separate shower and (jacuzzi-jetted) bath tub. However some teething pains: no hooks or rails at all to put towels, and no matter how careful the showering still water on main floor. Coffee & tea making, tiny desk with no proper chair for office work. Good beds. Breakfast standard 3 star, with some hot dishes and lots of breads. Friendly reception staff. Wifi quite intermittent.

This hotel is hard to find as no indicaties are there to tell you where this hotel is. Also the way out to the high way is hard to find. When we passed Gorinchem during lunch time we saw that a restaurant had to be close by. Just by incident we say this hotel / restaurant. A grey painted restaurant established during the 1970/80. The interieur is likewise. We wanted to have lunch, the restaurant was being vacuüm cleaned by then but that was not an issue. "You don't mind we will have lunch here when you vacuüm clean the restaurant". We had an omelet and an Club sandwich. Both dishes tend to be very standard, this restaurant managed to get a complete different version of the classic dis. See the pictures.

Really lovely hotel in a really central part of town. The breakfast was great with views over the water. The room was large and spacious and had a panoramic view. The bathroom was small but had all the essentials
