Really happy with our stay here. The hotel itself is a little way out from the centre, but just one tram ride and a short walk gets you there in about 45 minutes. We arrived a few hours before check in time but the gentleman on the desk called the housekeeping team to see if any rooms were ready and luckily there was! This meant we were able to have a quick nap before heading into the city centre. There is a minibar in the room, but also an aldi next to the hotel so we went there to get some snacks/ drinks as a cheap alternative to using the minibar :). Fancy room, some parts a little run down but nothing to complain about!
Stayed in this hotel in December during my visit to Barcelona. The moment I entered the lobby, the security guard (as pictured below) came towards me and yanked my luggage away from me in the most violent way possible. I refused to hand my bags and luggage to him as I wasn't sure if he was a legitimate security guard, or a pickpocket disguised as a hotel staff. However, he continued to pull my luggage away without giving me any assurance of his identity or what he was attempting to do and even pushed me away, tempestuously. He eventually demanded to arrange our (me and my travel group members) in the way as pictured below, which was absurd and illogical. After we check into our rooms, my mother discovered that the plug hole of the bathtub was faulty and we were unable to drain the tub. We informed the receptionist with regards to the situation, whom to our horror, send the same guard up to address the problem. Upon entering our room, the security guard attempted to grab hole of my mother's wrist. Shocked, my mother screamed at the guard, whom yelled back and asked my mother if she wasn't right in the mind. My mother then highlighted to the security guard to mind his manners. Additionally, the guard also told my mother to 安静 (which essentially means shut up in chinese) and created a huge commotion, so much so that occupants in our neighbouring rooms were alerted. Besides the terrible customer service, this hotel is located at an extremely secluded area. Travelling to the city centre would take approximately 15 minutes by foot to the railway station and an additional 45 minutes by train.…
On the edge of an industrial estate. The room was clean but the air con didn’t work properly so had to open window for a breeze but the traffic was so noisy all through the night. Doesn’t serve evening meals, had to go to Aldi and Burger King for food. The carpark is difficult to find and when you do all the doors were locked so couldn’t use it, ended up parking in Aldi carpark.
If you want to see outside & around Barcelona, for example Girona or Figueres for Museum of Dali, this hotel is both strategic and economic. Hotel that meets the ordinary needs, rooms are comfortable and breakfast is richly functional.
Booked a 3 night Barcelona break with Living Social and feel I’ve been misled. They don’t tell you where you are going, but you buy a voucher and then you are allocated a hotel. This place is so far from the city centre that none of the Barcelona transport passes work out here. Costs €2.20 just to get to a Metro station where we can use the three day pass we bought. The room is dark and the lighting was poor. The bed was comfortable, but not having a kettle in the room for a late coffee or an early cuppa is ridiculous when we were told that there is no where in the hotel to get a hot drink after breakfast. Breakfast is €9.90 and is not good value for money. Some cold meat and cheese, a few cereals, croissants and a bit of fresh fruit. For that money I expect hot food too. There is a Burger King a few blocks away, and an Aldi next door, so we stocked up on fresh fruit from Aldi for our breakfasts as £20 for the two of us to join in the bun fight for a buffet breakfast is not what we wanted. The Hotel is on the edge of a large but grotty industrial estate and the whole area seems run down and neglected. When we arrived the receptionist couldn’t find our booking, so we had a tense five minutes while she kept checking her computer. The staff do seem helpful, but there are no local maps on hand of the area where the Hotel is showing where local restaurants are. Apparently if you want room service they phone a pizza place and get you a takeaway. There is a mini bar in the room but the prices for anything you drink are ridiculous. €2.50 for a can of Coke and the same for a bottle of water (330ml) the size of a kids fruit shoot. We bought 8 cans of Coke and 12 x 500ml bottles of water in Aldi for €8!!! Just taking the piss There was a huge bath, but the plug hole had broken and you needed something sharp to prise the plug out to empty the bath. There is a booklet about the local area, but it is printed in Spanish and Catalun so no help there then. I don’t know who stays here or why. It’s in the middle of nowhere. …
My company had a few projects not too far from this particular hotel so we decided on making this hotel a ‘Home Base’ while we had projects outside of Barcelona for the week. Overall the hotel is really nice and well kept! Although I’d have to admit the hallways have a very interesting smell... which kind of made me worry about if house keeping is being hygienic with their cleaning tools etc..The rooms are very modern and chic the bathrooms are really nice with big bath tubs! (I love nice baths) so this was a plus for me! Housekeeping is also always on point! They are ready to clean your room before you wake up! Lol they start early! (Perhaps cause it’s a business hotel) The beds are okay. the double bed is very big and I felt comfortable! There was only a few things that I couldn’t quite understand dealing with some of the hotel staff although they were very respect full and accommodating to the best of their ability I feel that some of them should be re trained on how to troubleshoot small issues when working in a hotel. I had finished the water in the mini bar a few nights in a row and i made a call down to reception asking for more water and she insisted that I check the minibar ... as if I wouldn’t do that before calling again to request for MORE water! When I explained to her that I had finished the water who ever I would speak to would say.. I’m sorry we don’t have any more water...????? This made my stay like a 2 star experience. I would only recommend staying here if you have work outside of Barcelona in this particular area. The nightly rates are very competitive and you can come up on some GREAT DEALS!…
Lovely, clean hotel with friendly staff! The beds in the rooms are massive and rooms come with a bathtub. The breakfast was quite simple but a good selection of pastries. The only thing that lets this hotel down is how far it is from the centre! It's out of zone 1 which means you need to buy an extra ticket if you're using public transport. It also takes around an hour to get anywhere.
Location about 40 mins from Barcelona centre by public transport, No bars or restaurants close to hotel, No meals apart from breakfast in hotel, Hotel bar limited opening, not open at night at all, Minibar in room with very limited choice. Good for Catalunya circuit (15 min by car), Pleasant Staff, Comfortable room, but not much else going for it. It is Just a big square box close to an Industrial estate
Overall the hotell was nice, the personal was helpful! Unfortunately i like soft beds. The room a got had a hard bed with hard pillows. Maybe the hotell got other rooms with softer beds?! But the room was clean and nice. the restroom was great, bathtub and a nice shower!
It feels like a factory from the outside, next to one Aldi supermarket, very bad price for value, the breakfast can also be added for EUR 9.90 per person, plates of the breakfast buffet are all broken, the waiters and waitresses are throwing plates around like crazy, the elevators are out of service most of the time, booked a Suite, the room's ceilings lights are on and off and on again several times a day, the bed is a feather bed and it sounds like from the 60s (a lot of noise when lying on it), the hotel is lack of space for guests to sit down and relax, there is only a breakfast buffet and no coffee shop, no spa facilities, no sauna, no steam, no gym, no pool, no jacuzzi, no complimentary water in the room. I don't quite recommend this place, it's not even cheap and the area is just a factory area. …
