Had breakfast here didn't spend the night. Was great. helpful friendly staff great breakfast formula in a nice setting in the outside garden. They also have a bar for drinks at night for guests and non guests facing the in ground pool.
My wife and booked a 7 night break at La Dimora and from the time we arrived to leaving we were not disappointed. The attention to detail by all the staff is excellent and they were always prepared to go that little bit extra. The front desk team gave us some great tips of places to visit and eat which were spot on with Saint Florent just up the road and Bastia about 40 minutes away. Our only disappointment was having to leave to go home.
Flying visit for one night on the final leg of a road trip from Ajaccio via the stunning West coast of Corsica, Calvi & La Balagne and finally Bastia for the ferry back to Nice. The hotel's located in a peaceful enclosed spot in a converted farm house in what looks like a small development of other similar private buildings. Other than the occasional vehicle passing on the road a couple of hundred metres away the silence is bliss and the light pollution minimal for a nice view of the stars. The nearest town is St. Florent (worth a quick look / some decent offerings for food but wouldn't linger too long..!). The service right from check-in was genuinely warm, friendly and helpful. The team here are excellent and attentive with an easygoing hassle-free efficiency that gets you settled right in and relaxed. The hotel has extremely comfortable, characterful and personal rooms with a great private terrace and seating area outside. They offer locally produced snacks placed as welcoming gifts in the room which I thought was a nice touch. The pool area is immaculate and very slick-looking with the cabanas and Jacuzzi tub - all in all great to have a space like this after a long day's exploring. The offerings at the restaurant and bar are delicious and the atmosphere perfect in the low lighting beside the pool area. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, great menu and wine list. Try the Corsican Myrtle liqueur aperitif! The drive to Bastia takes about 40mins along the super-weavy D38 / D81. As with most of the D-roads along the West and North coasts the views are truly spectacular, albeit a little a little distracting in the dark at 6 in the morning when you're trying to handle the switchbacks with a smidge of a hangover... I've already recommended this place to family and friends, great if you're passing through headed to La Balagne or if you're looking for a few days easy access to Cap Corse and the hills around Bastia. Initially disappointed that it wasn't as isolated as I first thought, but then the hotel was incredibly peaceful and private all the same.…
We recently stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed it. Even though there is not a lot around the hotel itself it is a beautiful base. We liked it so much we just relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the warm days. The pool and grounds are beautiful and the chef's dinners were excellent. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
We stayed in a suite for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is elegantly decorated and furnished and staffed by a great team of friendly and efficient people. Our suite was enormous and was plenty big enough for four of us. We had two terraces giving wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The swimming pool was superb with plentiful relaxing beds surrounding it. Restaurant was good but, and here's my only criticisms:- a) It is very expensive for what it offers (even by Corsican standard), i.e. €23 for a buffet breakfast is, quite simply, exorbitant. b) The 4-item daily menu is the same for both lunch and dinner and many items are served, without changing, for several days in a row, consequently, somewhat repetitive to say the least.
