We decided to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday at Wild Horses. Suffice to say our high expectations were met and surpassed. The venue is magnificent, the food was glorious, the staff were amazing and the view is stunning! So much effort went into every little detail. We felt utterly spoilt and will definitely be back for another five star experience.

This is a very intermit little lodge on the side of a mountain overlooking the Sterkfontein dam. There are only 4 rooms and so you often find yourself feeling like you are the only ones in this stunning villa. The chef prepares great dinners and breakfast is always more than enough. You can also opt to have a private romantic...

Home from home in the most relaxing peaceful, friendly place in SA! The food is fantastic , and cruising the Sterkfontein Dams crystal waters on a luxury motor boat sipping an ice cold beer takes a lot of beating to better this experience! Will definitely be back , thanks John and Trish .

A tranquil place with the most amazing settings was exactly what we needed after a very busy last few months! Food was divine, I even picked up a culinary tip or two. Three course dinner was all well selected by their in-house chef. They were so open to breakfast requests... from full English with French toast to flapjacks and mascarpone...

On our way back from KZN to Pretoria, we were looking for an interesting out of the ordinary stay-over half way to home. Well, Wild Horses was everything we expected, and more. The setting of the lodge against a sandstone koppie and overlooking the Sterkfontein dam, is simply breathtaking! From the minute you step out of your car, you enter...

The sand road getting there is better than the 11 kms of tarred potholes after that. Its that bad! But thats where my negativity ends. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional. We wanted for nothing. The rooms are immaculate, very 5 star-ish decor. The food was superb, well presented (both breakfast and dinner). Bar prices were very...

Most magnificentjy peaceful setting. Spacious and tastefully decorated rooms with all the special touches. Top class cuisine and lots to do,,, walking, riding, boating or just restfully doing nothing at all. Will be back that's for sure!

What else to write. It's beautiful, comfortable and very welcoming. The food is prepared by a great chef. There are stunning views and the staff are able to recommend walks, rides, boats as well as just doing nothing

The 17 kilometer road that you take to get to Wild Horses, once you turn off the main road, can be a tad challenging. We made it fine with our little putt-putt of a car. I liken it to slaying a dragon to reach the pot of gold and what an amazing treasure Wild Horses Lodge is. What words are...
