A home away from home experience but with the 5 star treatment of a personal chef and staff to cater to all your needs. From the time you arrive and leave you are treated like royalty. The staff are extremely friendly but professional and we had a bonus weekend having the owners Trish and Jon there to entertain us at...

There is something refreshing about being truly isolated from the hustle and bustle of city life that really allows one to relax. There are few 5 star experiences one can have in this country completely out of sight or earshot of any roads or highways, and wild horses is one such place, managing to be both isolated and homely simultaneously....

We were the only guests for the evening. We arrived at 5.30 tired from a long drive to a manager who clearly didn't want to be there. We were informed that as we were the only guests the staff liked to go early so could we eat at an earlier time than the usual 7pm! It wasn't the 5 star...

Dear Penelope, Thank you for your very honest review here at Wild Horses. I do remember checking you in and while I realise that no excuse makes up for your stay, I must apologise as I was quite ill and therefore would have seemed much less enthusiastic than I normally am with guests. I therefore handed the evening over to...

This amazing little hotel simply blew us away. We arrived quite late on the Friday evening having had to leave after work (it's only a 3 hour blast from Joburg - all the roads are good apart from the final 20kms on dirt road). The team at the hotel had accommodated us and setup a plated dinner in the room,...

This is the ultimate get-away for special and romantic trips. The staff go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable and that your requests are granted. The...

My husband and I were wowed by this hidden exclusive place. It was just perfect for my milestone birthday celebration. We arrived late on the 1st night, our 3 course dinner was laid out in our room kept warm & cold like our dessert. The 2nd night was my birthday, an exclusive private dinner was set up in their wine...

We stayed here just 1 night, after having discovered the lodge online some time ago, and always promised ourselves we would visit one day! Everything was exceptional - warm welcome from the manager and staff; such comfortable bedroom with all the amenities we could want (loved the bath, the minibar selection, gas heater, electric blankets); cosy lounge/bar area - enjoyed...
