HARRISMITH INN

While travelling back from Rustenburg to Umhlanga Rocks we had problems with our vehicle and had to find midway accommodation late one evening. We are not fans of bed and breakfasts due to the (mostly) intimate nature of these establishments and normally use hotels. It was such a relieve to find this place! Although arriving after 21:00 the staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and adequate. We had dinner and breakfast - neither memorable, but did the job. The price was reasonable and I can recommend the hotel for an overnight stay when travelling between Gauteng and Durban. …

its behind a truck stop neighboring the highway. rooms are outdated and cold. in general it does not look like upkeep is done, as for the towels they seemed old, the bedding was mediocre and the in room coffee station only had creamer. The lavish gym from the photos is a 5M by 4M room with 2 elliptical's a bicycle and a bench press.further more the hotels wifi is an excuse as non of my devices could connect to anything not even my emails. the TV in the room only has SABC no Dstv. i did not bother eating my breakfast there as my experience and gut said rather not risk it.…

The matter of the supplies will be sorted with our Housekeeping Team and I will look into this personally, as all our rooms should be fully supplied with all tea and coffee. Our Gym is a small and comfortable gym for the guest that want to stay fit while staying with us. We do apologize that it did not meet your expectations. It is a shame that you did not join us for Breakfast as we have full English Buffet Breakfast, that can cater to a variety of tastes. I arrived here after a long day of driving. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful to make sure I was ok and comfortable. They knew a lot of about their area and were helpful. The check in and out was smooth and easy. Rooms were fine and comfortable. Quiet also, despite being told there was a large conference group staying there. I didn't hear anything which was great. There is a small group of shops next door so you can get food and supplies before hitting the road again.…

Stayed here for 2 nights. Reception area was satisfactory. Room was clean and had the basics. Bathroom was recently renovated and shower was excellent. Breakfast was really good and staff was friendly.

Overnight stop on route from Jhb to KZN

Amazing find - the perfect place to stop. Wonderful staff, spotlessly clean and newly renovated. Comfy beds, with beautifully soft linen. Delicious breakfast. Couldn't have asked for more. Quiet but close enough to the N3 to get back on the road quickly the following morning.Highly recommend it! …
