Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just back from an overnight stay at An Sibhin. The bedrooms are just spotless, as are the bathrooms. Paul and Oksana could not be more welcoming. Attention to detail was obvious everywhere from delicious Danish pastries in room on arrival, together with 4 chilled complimentary drinks in the room fridge! Fabulous meal in the evening, mostly organic ingredients, and also organic wine! All reason ably priced. If you like super clean rooms and delicious meals prepared by Oksana herself, you will love this place. Left after a delicious breakfast if fresh orange juice, fresh fruit salad, organic sausages in a generous fry, topped off with Pukka tea and a fresh croissant. A rare find and a real treat, run by two lovely friendly people.

More like a boutique hotel than typical B&B. Gorgeous B&B in a converted pub from the 1700s, still has the flagstone flooring and original features. Rooms are bright and comfortable, shower was fantastic, Paul & Oxana were lovely hosts. The breakfast was some of the best we've had-recommend the pancakes. Room and breakfast was €100/night which was good value for the standard, and seemed to be cheaper than most places on the Beara peninsula in July.

Just back from a fabulous stay at An Sibin. From the moment we arrived we felt truly welcome. Paul & Oxana are fabulous hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay as memorable as possible. The room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was generous and delicious and dinner was out of this world with the most beautiful dessert. Everything you could possibly need is provided and the atmosphere is so relaxing with fabulous decor throughout. The location is perfect to use as a base for touring the Beara Peninsula. I can't wait to return!

My wife and I have had lunch here three times now. The food is always of a very high quality. The service is excellent and the restaurant has been beautifully decorated. The owners have clearly invetsed a lot in this place and deserve your support. We would totally recommend this place.

On return to summer holidays in this area, was thrilled to see An Sibín open again and serving breakfast/lunch/dinner.
Had 3 course lunch and every bite was delicious
Potato and leek soup
Seafood chowder
Homemade scampi ( best ever)
Open crab meat sandwich with salad and home cut chips
Raspberry roulade
Honeycomb tart
Would have loved to see crab claws or some lamb on the menu.
The dining area is just beautifully re furbished -
We wish the new team all the best going forward with their new undertaking..
A very gutsy move in this tough economic climate !
Really admire your courage ….
long may ye continue with An Sibín in the beautiful Beara

The location in Lauragh at the foot of the Healy pass is unique and well worth the drive.

These premises have been a fixture in a remote sort of area for years unfotunately it fell into disrepair & business closed down BUT now Philip & Kay spent last winter completely renovating the place & have done a fantastic job. Its now been modernised throughout but maintianing the very old snug bar at one end. We have now eaten here twice & would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. At the moment they are only able to provide wine but are hoping to have a full licence soon. Philips food is superb.... yesterday we had the freshest of ribbon pasta dish....second to none....scampi was superb also....previously we had some beautiful goats cheese salads. Highly recomend & wish this energetic young couple all the very very best in their business.
