Have stayed here regularly over the years and have never had a bad time. Rooms are clean and very comfortable and the menu in the pub is excellent. Staff are lovely and pints are excellent. Scenery is excellent. What more can you ask for??

The lodge is fabulous, staff ( they cant do enough for you) , food and idyllic setting is perfect. Our room was quirky with 2 widows looking out onto the beautiful Wicklow mountains, the bed was the most comfortable we have ever experienced. From sunset to sunrise it was an awakening of the senses. Highly recommend for hikers or just a little relaxing break. Cant wait to return.

A great base for hillwalking and cycling. A comfortable bedroom, food great value with a hearty breakfast for a long day of activity. Hard to get a weekend booking as it's so popular, so book well in advance. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The outside seating is well organised & plenty available. The portions were generous except there could have been more lamb given for the roast lamb dinner. There was a lot of cigarette butt's under the table. I may be a good idea to have a few tables reserved as a smoking area as people were coming outside to smoke near diners plus people sitting outside drinking were smoking too. As diners & people just drinking are all together. The lady serving was very pleasant. We were not asked how our food was by anyone during our meal or when paying.

We stayed for two nights and were lucky to get the room because the hotel is such a popular place to stay, particularly with hikers – there are so many great walks to choose from around there and Glenmalure is so beautiful! We had a wonderful time! The room was very nice and comfortable with a lovely view across the valley. Spotlessly clean and the shower in the en-suite bathroom was one of the best I have come across anywhere. Plus the pleasure of having a swallow’s nest right beside one of the windows and watching mum/dad flying in to feed their young. The food was very good, besides the standard menu (including locally sourced venison and lamb) there are also specials every evening. Breakfast is also a lovely affair with different options which you can combine. Whatever takes your fancy the staff will try to accommodate you. Yes, the staff. Where does the Glenmalure Lodge find this bunch of cheerful, wonderful, funny, helpful group of people? Every single one of them had a smile and nothing was too much for them. They deserve every praise. The hotel is a family-run business and the personal touch shows everywhere. Covid: the rules were applied everywhere and we felt very safe. The Glenmalure Lodge has been added to our “favourites” list of places to stay at in Ireland and we look forward to our next visit.
