Detailed Reviews
An amazing afternoon of horse riding and a great Italian laid back family dinner - one of our vacation highlights. We came as part of a full day in the Parco Alpi Apuane and eventually didn’t what to leave - the grounds are nested in a beautiful endless forest with cool temperatures that even in the warmest July in decades ( so the locals say ) requires a sweater in the evening. We left near midnight and next time would stay for the night for sure

I and my family visited this lovely spot in July. House is on top of the mountain, 1000 metres above sea level. The temperature was 24C at the top and 32C at the bottom. House is very authentic, friendly host, organic food and wine. Have to order food in advance before arrival. Be aware that part of the road is off the road and could be challenging with small heavy load car. Would visit again, great spot if you want escape from noisy town and beach.

A little hard to find all the way up on the mountain, but totally worth the drive. Authentic place to stay, eat and get to know the authentic Italian way of living. Very peaceful in the mountain forest. With a 5 min walk you get to see a stunning view, especially at dawn.
The bathroom is unexpectedly modern.

+1
Away from all the stress, to do lists, no luxury, television, no internet available ... This is the place to be. It's not easy to find, a long drive up in the mountain, off road.
Feels like coming home.
Approx. 30 horses do have their free area. You can help or drive the horses, cat, dog. Kids will love it.
Room is very basic but suits the environment. (see pictures)
We can strongly advise to join dinner together with all the other guests (appr. 25€ all in). Paulo played his guitar, the guests were singing. Very very very relaxing and felt like being home.

We reached the farm on a rainy day, and Paulo immediately offered us a hot cup of tea and lit the fire for us.
Paolo's farm is situated in the mountains above the city MASSA, in the beautiful wooded area, the road to the farm is a little bumpy, but worth it.
The rooms are very very simple, but clean and comfortable, they are decorated in a country style.
It is important to note that this is not a hotel but a special experience of farm life in Italy.
You can go out horseback riding and hiking from the farm, Paulo happy to help with any question or problem. Do not miss the dinner with Antonella! Without a doubt the best cook in Italy!

Our family of five stayed here for 2 nights. We walked the beautiful trails and had a totally relaxing time in perfect mid-July weather. We had supper with Paulo and his "family", which included other guests and friends, and we experienced the warmth of genuine Italian togetherness. In fact, we felt more like invited guests than paying guests!
The house in which we stayed was basic but clean. No towels or cooking utensils, however. There was a problem with the functioning of the toilet, which was largely fixed.
Although we did not quite know when and how breakfast would be served, we eventually enjoyed the typically Italian breakfast of bread and coffee at the rugged wooden table outside. Antonella's nut pie was to die for! This visit will be remembered by our family as an authentic Italian experience.

Almost completely satisfied with the location, the formula and the well-cooked food. There is only the price which doesn't add up and clashes in excess of what you eat and with the fact that it is a club and not a restaurant. commercial enterprise with à la carte menu. Of course, if it weren't a mistake it would lead me not to return.

One of those places that enter your heart. Immersed in a wonderful forest, you can listen to the sounds of nature, animals, walk and rediscover yourself. Top cuisine curated by the super Antonella. Thanks Paolo and all your staff. See you soon
