Our family has been coming to the Half Moon for decades. Our children LOVE the continuity of coming to the same place year after year. The staff has become like family. This was our first trip once we were all vaccinated. Here is what you should know about traveling during this difficult time: - Many of the Half Moon staff have already been vaccinated as Jamaica has prioritized those who work in tourism. - The WIFI in our villa was great and we were able to work from there. - We live in Washington DC, but Jamaicans took COVID precautions more seriously than those in DC. EVERY staff person wore a mask. There was hand sanitizer everywhere. - It was SUPER easy to get Covid tested - a team of nurses came to our villa to do the rapid test for us. - The Spa here is incredible. And you want get a massage at an outdoor cabana over the water!!! Here is what else might useful to know: - The level of service in the villas is OUTSTANDING. We especially love the cooking of Nurshette - her food is delicious but also beautifully presented. - It is really fun to have such a big, beautiful property to explore. - The Half Moon restaurants are outstanding, but not cheap. - The villas are spacious and private, but they are NOT fancy. In fact, it is about time for an update. If you want fancy, perhaps you should stay at Eclipse at Half-moon - not a villa. The villas are magical for those of us who want to be pampered - especially those who don't want to sit in a restaurant for every meal. - Our family enjoys scuba diving, golf, tennis, parasailing, stand up paddle boarding and biking, and it is fabulous that we can do all of this without leaving the resort. - The new Eclipse section of the resort is STUNNING. - You really do need to have a butler at least once in our life, trust me. I highly recommend the Half Moon.

Had a wonderful stay at Half Moon Rose Hall Villas! Villas are classic comfort with spacious bedrooms and a private pool. Staff were professional and attentive especially our Butler Charles! He was awesome! All of our meals were delicious! The Beach was sublime! Perfect for a family getaway with so much to do... horseback riding, bicycles, a huge play centre for the kids and a brand new, clean, state of the art gym! Or you can just lay by the pool or on the beach and totally relax!

We were a group of 11 people, a multi generation family (ages 1 year to 73 years old). We wanted to stay in a villa, so we could have family time and it would be easy to accommodate the needs of the small children in our group. We stayed in Villa 50 (Pelican Villa) and had an absolutely wonderful time. The villa was very spacious, the rooms were all clean and tastefully decorated, the ocean view was spectacular and we enjoyed having our own private pool. Our staff were wonderful! Great food, great service and lovely to interact with. Thank you Kirk, Karen and Cadilla for making our stay so special. Our nephew celebrated his 7th birthday at the villa and they made us a fabulous dinner and cake. They had not problem accommodating our nut-free and gluten-free dietary restrictions. We walked or took our golf cart over to the main resort each day to use the beaches, pools and take part in activities. Shawn the entertainment guy is great! Our only complaint is that since the resort has just undergone some renovations there seemed to be a lack of communication about the changes that were being made. We were told we could make a dinner reservation at The SeaGrape, but then arrived to find out that the restaurant had been shutdown for dinner service. We were told to meet at the old dive shop location for some water sports, but then found out that it was no longer open. All in all a great trip. My daughter and I especially loved the horse-back riding along the beach. Huge thanks to Steady and Sheldon for some great adventures.

I can't say enough good things about Rose Hall Villas and especially their staff. Cecile, Lezetia, and Jovann MADE our trip. Seriously! I will go back just to see them again. Lezetia's food was Jamaican comfort food (as we requested) and I couldn't imagine eating anything else.

Seven college friends stayed in Villa 98 (Yellow Shrimp) for 4 nights to celebrate the year we all turn 50. Edward, our butler, took amazing care of us. He is kind and courteous and professional. He put so much thought into every detail. He makes great rum punch and piña coladas too! Cece, our chef, is so talented! Her food was always delicious and we enjoyed the different Jamaican dishes she made for us at each meal. She is friendly and caring and really made it feel like a home away from home. Sonia, our housekeeper, kept the place looking spotless and it was such a treat to have her do our laundry every day. Edward, Cece and Sonia make a great team! They surprised us with a big birthday party complete with homemade decorations, Red velvet cake and a champagne toast. The six bedroom villa was Glorious. The bedrooms are spacious. The bathrooms have double sinks. We loved the outdoor covered balcony. This was truly the vacation of a lifetime!
