I came to Half Moon Rose Hall on the 22 nd of June 2022 to celebrate my brother in laws 60 th Birthday and we are still in the property as I write this review . It’s a stunning property , with panoramic sunsets. Service is excellent , staff are ready to bend over back wards to please your every request . I have to mention a couple of names ; Starting with our Butler Alwayne in our villa , Marlene our housekeeper and Kerris our cook . Nothing or no request was too much for them to do for you . Our food and service at the reception that was held for the celebration was excellent . Vernice , David ,Jason and Calvin our pastry chef were just the best . The Half Moon , Rose Hall is definitely the place to stay in Jamaica . Absolutely Stunning !!!

My friends and I visited this resort on June 16th - 21st 2022. The Villa that we rented was rundown but management was nice enough to relocate us to a beautiful cottage. Management was very professional in how they handled the situation. and for that reason I will recommend the resort to others. What you really have to watch out for are the servers and waiters that mix your drinks Make sure you're at the bar and see exactly what is in the glass being given to you I got very sick after drinking a long island iced tea that we all believe was spiked because the female bartender was upset that I sent the drink back with the waitress and asked for it to be changed due to it being too sweet. I am not much of a drinker so just one glass of this mixed drink is the only drink I have when I go out and not once have I had a reaction to this drink. The reaction I had to the drink was not intoxication as the doctor put it. No one gets drunk on one drink for more than 12 hours. I ended up in the hospital the next day because I couldn't stand up on my own due to wobbly legs and dizziness. The hospital gave me saline water to flush my system + a covid test and charged me $850 US dollars + 5000 Jamaican dollars. The resort is nice but please watch out to make sure you know what goes in your glass.

The Halfmoon is a 5 star resort. The views are breathtaking, the beaches are endless and the staff is phenomenal. We took out teens and they rode the bikes around the resort, and we barely saw them. Everyone knew their names and took care of them and I new they were safe. We stayed at the Eclipse which was absolutely gorgeous. No detail was missed. The decor, the the spaciousness, the cleanliness, it was perfect! The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. And the food… wow! Soooo good! Best resort hands down! Making it a yearly trip!

This was a 5 star vacation from the beginning to the end. Everything was perfect from the accommodations (we stayed in a villa with an ocean view), to the beautiful beaches, the amazing, attentive staff (throughout the entire resort) and the delicious food. The staff at the villa were so attentive, sweet and kind. Denise is an amazing cook! She gave some of us cooking lessons and gave us great information on all the local fruit. Ferdinand was funny and always seemed to pop up just when you needed something. Karen kept everything clean and tidy, did our laundry and if you left any clean clothing on the bed - she would iron it. And I have to finish with a big shout out to Ms. Paula Lilly - she made sure we were informed of everything available to make our vacation even more memorable from our Spa visit (there were 10 of us and Spa staff were so patient) to recommending restaurants, the baby turtle release and the Beach BBQ. We are already planning our next visit!

So we stayed in Villa 86 (WHAT UP V86 GANG!!) and the Villa itself was marvelous! Breathtaking ocean front view, swimming pool, large family front room, golf carts, bicycles...the list goes on! Thing is, you have to fill that up with great friends, family & have a cook that made Prince Harry lick his fingers (Ms. Denise), A butler that makes Geoffrey look soft (Ferdinand), and a housekeeper that dealt with 3 teens & 2 20 somethings' rooms without batting an eye (Karen)! This crew MADE it an unforgettable experience! The Villa Guest services staff were amazing (Jaculine forgive the spelling). Find Stephon (bartender at any of the bars and the go wherever he is on property (it'll be worth your while!) The Director of Guest Services was the sauce! Paula would pop up all over the property during our stay engaging guests and the team...just an amazing experience all around

We had the best time at Half Moon. Half Moon is special in our hearts because we spent our honeymoon and subsequent visits here to celebrate our marriage. In addition, this trip was special because we brought our children along for the first time. The junior suite was great for our family, and we loved the Jamaican treats every night at turn-down service. The staff are genuinely lovely, kind people who are keen on meeting your needs. When our housekeeper noticed we had small children, she changed a rocking chair to a lounge chair on our balcony and added other lovely things to make the stay seamless. At breakfast, our server noticed I hadn't been able to enjoy my coffee because we were attending to kids, and she prepared a lovely to-go cup for me. On our last night, a nanny came to our room and stayed with our boys so we could have dinner at Sugar Mill. They warmed up to her so quickly that we didn't have to worry about them. She tucked them in, and everything was sorted by the time we returned. I could name countless ways that the staff has been kind. Hands down, a vacation I would do with kids again. If you're on the fence about going to Half Moon, this is the review to say do it.

I was lucky enough to recently attend a conference at the beautiful Half Moon Resort. It’s an elegant oasis combining the best of Jamaican hospitality, culinary delights and fun! When not in meetings the gorgeous infinity pool and the beach were my home. The staff there made you feel so welcome and at home. On day 1 I had a question and was referred to Beach supervisor Romario who answered all my questions with patience and two days later when I ran into him again he addressed me by name…I was blown away that he not remembered my name but seemed to genuinely care how my stay was going. His team was on their game and always provided great service! Also want to give a shout out to Moesha and Crystal at the Italian restaurant. So friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and the service even better. Guest rooms: My suite was gorgeous. So fresh and spacious. And I loved the easy access to bicycles to get around the resort. Spa was fantastic too! My only wish for Jamaica is that local transportation would be more affordable. I wanted to taxi into town one night and was told it would be $80 one way….that’s a bummer. Otherwise a wonderful place with a fantastic team.

i have stayed many places in the Caribbean and recently returned to the Half Moon in Montego Bay. I stayed in one of the cottages in the section called "Founders Cove". The room was spacious, fronted the beach was large, clean and in a very pleasant part of the resort. I have stayed in other equally lovely sections of the resort. Something there for everyone. This is truly the most wonderful resort in the Caribbean. Not only is the staff wonderful with "peace, love and respect" in abundance but they are happy people with your comfort in mind. I would be remiss not to mention the food. You do not expect to enjoy some of the finest food you will be served anywhere let alone at a superb resort, but you are in for a treat at the various dinning spots in the resort. The chef is creative and the menus are suited for everyone's taste. I will be back to the Half Moon again and again.

This is our 4th time to Half Moon, third time staying at the Villas. Each trip has been amazing but this trip was just EXTRA special. The resort is 1st class, views are incredible, food and drinks top tier, but what make Half Moon so special to us in the staff, truly world class. Our villa team of Gawain, Nurshett, Judith, and LInval are now like family to us.
