I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! From the outstanding customer service to being waited on hand and foot and having everyone always in a nice and happy mood. We were there for my moms wedding and it was breathtaking! We have to say a special thanks to the entertainment team- specifically to Reggi and Damar who were amazing with my brother Mason. They were just so fun all the time. Shanique the wedding coordinador was fantastic and made sure everything was absolutely perfect! The special events team was amazing! We will definitely be back! Best place I have ever stayed anywhere!
Let me start by saying I didn't know what to expect traveling overseas during a pandemic. This hotel's precautions calmed my fears instantly, from the sanitizing ans temperature check station before entering the hotel to the signage and availability of PPE throughout the hotel. The front desk agents were courteous and helpful. I had a ocean view room on the 6th floor, it was spotless. The housekeeper was so cheerful with every interaction. I was there to celebrate my son's 5th birthday and it was perfect. This was the most family friendly resort I've stayed at in Jamaica. The slides and lazy river were the STARS of the resort, it was fun for adults and kids. The poolside service was also exceptional. Rum punch and coconut water galore! There were quite a few options for food. There's a wide variety of breakfast items to choose from, catering to all palates. I enjoyed the outdoor BBQ they had on Monday night the most, it was EXCEPTIONAL. BIG THANK YOU to CHADENE BRYAN, the best concierge. She arranged a cabana and balloons for my son's birthday, a custom cake at dinner. We had an awesome private dinner, all arranged by the concierge extraordinaire. Make sure you ask for her, she will make your trip even more remarkable. Reggie/ Reginald in the game room was also a standout employee! We cannot wait to return to this resort! Thank you to Carol Bourke and the Hilton Rose Hall staff for an unforgettable time. Regards, The George Family…
Every individual working here were so nice and looking to serve you any way they can. I can not say enough about our butler Mellisa she was INCREDIBLE a true blessing to have as a employee. My daughter loved every minute being around her, she is a true gem. I can not also forget Arlene the lady who organize's the spa outside, she was phenomenal went out of her way for us always. The food was good and the water slide and entertainment was fun! Alton you the man! Covid protocols were great, things were scaled down as expected but still decent amount of things to do. Rooms are basic but nice and clean, coffee shop good. Should have a better game room for the kids but other wise a fantastic time. Mr Oneil cleaning the beach should get a raise, What a hard worker. My hats off too all the employees again ....Great Place…
Coming to this resort was the best decision we could have made! The staff at Hilton Rose Hall is amazing and they are taking every precatuion during the pandemic. From sanitizing luggage when you arrive (Let's face it, that's probably not where you are going to contract Covid, but at least they are trying!) to 100% staff compliance with mask wearing, guests wearing masks, hand santiziers everywhere, and many outdoor dining options, we always felt comfortable at the resort! Also occupancy is very low right now, so there was always plenty of room to spread out away from others. The entertainment staff is excellent here and they were always around to help you have fun, but they weren't in your face either like we have experienced at other resorts. Alton was funny, kind, and joyful at all times! Another employee that just really stood out to me was O'Neal (not sure on spelling) who raked the far beach. One day there were only 2 families on that whole entire beach, and this man worked tirelessly to clean up seaweed, rake the sand, etc. He truly had such an amazing work ethic. If he wasn't grooming the grounds, he was stopping by to see if he could do anything to make our visit more comfortable. He is a GEM. I found the staff here did not adhere to "island time" like many places we have stayed. Maybe it is because of the low occupancy, or maybe this is just the culture of the hotel and management, but all our requests were met quite quickly comparatively to other places we have traveled in Jamaica. One night we ordered room service and were told 35 minutes, and our food was at our door in 12! A few things to be aware of, the "flush" on the toilets in the rooms was pittiful. Like, really, really bad. A maintenance project they could be working on while occupancy is low is replacing tile that is coming loose at the swim up bar and identifying the bad smell coming from that bar as well. It smelled like rotten fruit. Maybe the drains could be cleaned out? Also worth noting, one window of the swim up bar is open to order drinks, however you are discouraged from sitting in the swim up bar area. This is part of the COVID-19 safety protocol. you are urged to get your drink and boogie. Finally, this is not a complaint but something for guests to be aware of, because of reduced occupancy, dining options are limited. That does NOT mean there isn't variety, but it just may not be what you were expecting. When we checked in we were told Luna was only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, so we made reservations for Thursday and Friday... then through the week we saw it open several other nights. I'm not sure where the communication broke down there. The buffet was open all nights. One night was an Asian night and was served a la carte, but in the Fresh buffet outdoor area. That was one of our favorite meals. Also one night we didn't really see anything that appealed to us, and they brought us the menu from Moonstone and were able to take a la cart orders from that menu in the buffet area. Breakfast was always at the buffet and was great. The chocolate croissants were amazing. Lunch is where the resort shines in my opinion. There are so many tasty local options. At Mangoes by the pool our favorites were the beef and chicken patties, and the Roti. The Jerk Chicken and Pork available at Mangoes or Seaside were wonderful... though fair warning... on 3 different days I ordered jerk pork and it was wildy different each time. One time it was like a pork chop cut up with jerk sauce, one day it was like slow cooked/braised rib meat and fall apart tender and so spicy I broke a sweat, and one day it was like slices of ham tossed in bbq sauce with a hint of jerk. Good each time, but wildly different which came as a surprise. Other dining options worth mentioning are the Coffee Shop which makes fantastic drinks all day and evening, and 24 hour room service which is currently included for all guests. Overall, this week was amazing and flew by! If I had it to do over, the only thing I would change is I would book for 2 weeks instead of one!…
I was very impressed with Judith Hill who was able to get my room ready the way I like it. Antonella the Concierge was friendly, well-informed with phone numbers that the Tour Desk did not have, and seems to really care about the guests. The Luna di Mare has a great Head Chief Chin-O willing to learn new recipes guests suggest, and Michael the Restaurant Manager is very welcoming. The Spa service deep tissue massage helped with my joint pain. Great that if you stay there 3 days or more, you are scheduled for a free Covid test which is conducted on the 1st floor in a hallway near the restrooms. Results are available one day later.
