Overall very disappointed on a recent trip to the Grand Rose Hall. Negatives - within the 4 walls, service was terrible especially the butler service - didn't even know who ours was for the first 2 days there. Room service did not get 1 order correct the whole trip, room was not serviced, lack of towels, late on clearning etc. Food was ok, was not impressed. Best meal we had was offsite. Positives, beautiful location, excellent bartenders at pool bar, amazing infinity pools, and excellent entertainment. I would not go back here again solely because of the service. Missed opportunity.

The best resort I’ve been to in Jamaica so far! The Butler service was great and he was attentive to our needs. They made my mom birthday very special. The food was delicious and the drinks was great. Beautiful beach and pool area was relaxing. The nighttime entertainment was great, the staff made sure everyone had a great time. Overall phenomenal stay and would definitely suit again

This was our 2nd stay at the Iberostar Grand. Our first visit was great, is was before covid and we had a wonderful time which is why we came back. The second trip ...not so good. It was obvious that covid has taken it's toll on staff as services were not as good as we expected. Room service was a bit slow. The part that of our trip that convinced me that we will not be going back to the Iberostar was a situation in the pool area. There was a guy there that was so rude and spoke vulger to women that he pretty much ran everyone away from the pool. You just did not want to be around him. He was totally out of his normal environment. He actually ask me if he could touch my wife's butt and he put his hand on her hip. Well, not wanting to go to jail in a foreign country, I gave him a few choice words and we left the pool. He was mouthy and rude to the bartenders and any other guest that got near him. We ask the bartender later why they put up with him...his answer was that he had a lot of $100.00 dollar bills. We went to guest services to complain. The staff sent security out to watch him, they never said anything to him, just observed. He continued to be rude and obnoxious and security never did anything but watch. We found out that the Grand does not provide a safe and friendly environment when when it comes to guest, you can pretty much do what you want. People spend a lot of money and resorts and to find out that you really don't have any security or concern for your safety.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay here. The staff is very attentive to our needs. Jodi who greeted us and coordinated the butlers was outstanding. She worked hard to make sure we were pleased. Rennardo and Alain who were our personal butlers are wonderful to interact with. My husband and I had a romantic dinner on the beach and Vanessa was our awesome chef. OMG, her lamb chops are out of this world!! Our room was beautiful and comfortable, but our favorite hangout spot is the balcony. I took several of what had to be the greatest naps that I ever had. The tropical breeze from the ocean and the ceiling fan just made it a very relaxing place to be. We leave on Friday, but we really hate to go. We will be back. I highly recommend this place.

My Daughter and I spent 6 nights there last summer and had a great time. The staff members were fun and very helpful. The only complaint we had, was that we were offered transfers with Island Tours, and we ended up sitting in the hot van for over an hour waiting for other passengers who had stopped for a drink at the airport. When it was time to go to the airport, our van didn't show up-we ended up hiring a taxi to get to the airport-almost missed our plane. The only other thing that would have been nice, would have been a sit down restaurant instead of the buffet for breakfast.

We first went in 2017, then 2018 both excellent trips but our last visit to the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall in September 2022 was very disappointing. We had to consistently ask for items to be replaced in the room. Although Alain our butler always made sure our requests were met. Appleton rum (the national rum of Jamaica) is rarely seen. Only on my last day I did see a bottle of Appleton special. They are now replacing Appleton with Port Royal rum which is a cheap, bad tasting bottle of rum. They are seriously lacking in staff, therefore the service we received was not on par with the previous visits. Breakfast buffet, Es Palau (France restaurant) ,Galleon (Surf and Turf) , Cornwall at lunchtimes and beach grill was our favourite places to eat. Rooms have not been upgraded, they have a lack of modern facilities such as USB ports.

Had a wonderful stay great rooms and a beautiful resort! The beach was amazing and we loved the staff. super friendly and helpful. Weather was great and the food was very good. They could use more staff at the restaurants but we were told that they lost some staff to the cruse ships and they were in a hiring mode.

I throughly enjoyed my time celebrating my 49th birthday on 9/2.. It was my first time in Jamaica and this resort did not disappoint although there were a few items that could use revisions. The view is amazing, the buffets were always my favorite food option. The bars in entirety were great. You will need to download the Whats App on your phone because that’s how the staff communicates with guest. It’s free and you can call and video. You can use it as long as you’re on the WiFi just like you would your regular cell service. Ezekiel, the Concierge Specialist was wonderful and a great start to my stay upon my arrival. He scheduled everything for me from my spa appts to my meals. He saw that I was solo and sent me messages every day to see if I was ok. He also ensured that was escorted to various areas until I became familiar with the place. I didn’t see him on my last day but I wanted to tell him thank you because it meant a lot to me. The staff were phenomenal especially my 2 butlers, Romell and TraNeil, I will never forget these hard working, kind and attentive young men. I heard some of the other butlers were not as good at all. The entertainment specialist Bubbles was absolutely fabulous and her energy is unmatched. I was eager to meet her after seeing her name mentioned in a lot of reviews on various online outlets. She was everything everyone said and then some. I highly recommend getting a local taxi (I call them shuttles) to take you around the area and to all of your excursions. We had an amazing person, Everet, and he was nice, friendly and knowledgeable. He stayed with us(my friends joined me a few days after I had already been there solo) the entire day. He stopped at local places to eat and shops so we could get a holistic experience. He is licensed and bonded and on IG and FB under the company name: Everett’s Taxi Tours. I will place a pic of his card below. Just sent him a message via the app and he will respond. Tell him Michell referred him. I highly recommend visiting this Bob Marley estate..breathtaking and memorable. Revisions I recommend: -Update the room decor, it’s severely outdated -Put mattresses and box springs in zipped protectors -The ceiling in our shower leaked EVERYTIME the room above us used their shower and tub. Called maintenance twice and after that I got tired of calling and just dealt with it until the guest in that room left- then the leak also stopped. -The Italian resturant should be removed or menu redo. All of our food was horrible. A Caesar salad does not have squid and scallops in it nor does ranch dressing belong. I didn’t expect authentic Italian but if you’re gonna do it, do it well! -The lobby DJ needs to be replaced immediately. He never engaged the crowd, he played a playlist mainly of Jamaican music and stood back on the wall behind the booth. YES, Americans come there but we would like a nice mixture of both cultures..we love to dance to our music no matter where we are. It was very disappointing that he wasn’t able to keep the energy up as people exited the live shows as they had to walk right by the lobby area where the DJ was. There were opportunities missed because people left the area and went to their rooms rather staying to dance and chill around the bar. - I highly recommend adding karaoke to your activities. - While tipping the staff was a pleasure for the service they render, staff who approached and asked for money was off putting.. be careful when being kind because the ”ask” is coming.. some of them are overly friendly and try to get you to engage in conversation before they go in for the kill. I found that this was the same with some of those off the resort during excursions. - Please replace or locate a soft padded cover for all of your massage tables in the spa. I went twice (as birthday gifts) and the beds squeaked so bad every time I was touched I could not enjoy my treatment. The beds are covered in a vinyl cover(like fake leather) and it is very uncomfortable and loud!! - I highly recommend that you get your massage therapists professionally trained on how to conduct a proper massage. Rubbing oil in a waving motion and beating on the skin is not the way to do a massage. The ladies were nice and kind but they didn’t touch not one pressure point in my body either time. Others I spoke to on the property said the same thing. I’m glad my treatments were free. - Lastly, be careful of locals who appear to be staying at the resort or could be there on a day pass, they could be lurking to scam those they see who are visiting.

This was our 3rd time to Iberostar Grand Rose Hall. We have also been to other Iberostar Grands in Riviera Maya and Punta Cana. I disagree with recent negative postings. The resort is beautiful, food amazing, beach beautiful and clean, and staff friendly and helpful. We had no problems with check-in, received a welcome drink and moist towel, got in our room an hour before check-in. It's not far from the airport, so you do not spend much time to and from. The entertainment staff friendly and fun. They do not hound you if you decline an activity, but if you participate, it is fun. We only went to one evening show - the one on the beach - Regae music night - and the live music was very good. Live music in the lobby bar every evening. Large selection of very good food. Drinks very good at pool and lobby bar. I was impressed that in effort to be environmentally conscious, when you ask for water at the pool, they give you a reusable water bottle filled with fresh water, instead of going through multiple plastic cups and straws throughout the day. There are a few water stations on the resort you can fill yourself (beach, lobby bar, central gym). I'm a huge water drinker and brought my own reusable bottle, too. My husband prefers beer and he had no complaints! Because we have been to Iberostar many times, we knew about booking dinner reservations ahead of time. There was some confusion when some were open - discrepency on the Iberostar app? But, not a big deal. Plenty of options. My main negative comments were the first night we received a knock on our door at 10:00 pm. It was the butler with a bottle of champagne. We told them ahead of time we were there for a wedding anniversary, but the anniversary was not for 3 more days. Also, we had traveled that day and go to bed early, no matter where we are, so we were already sleeping! I also think the rooms could start to use a freshening up/updated look. Everything was the same as 9 years ago. The rooms were very clean and we had a partial ocean view, which is exactly what we booked. Simply starting to look a bit aged. Hard to be critical when businesses are emerging from the COVID pandemic and I have no idea what staffing issues in other countries have been, but certainly know it can still be an issue in the U.S. Overall, I recommend Iberostar Grand Rose Hall.
