I have been going to Praia do Forte for many years and found in this small town a wonderful, quaint alternative for those longing for the Buzios of the 1980s. Really nice small beaches, an extraordinary ecosytem with options for snorkeling and whale watching, a...More
Very warm and welcome atmosphere. Supportive staff and excellent environment to recover. A pool for kids, space for reading and relaxing and clean rooms. All service that you need as couple or family. Amazing time here. We'll come back.
We only had dinner there. Very nice building, perfect atmosphere (a little bit too dark), good food but we wait a little bit too much to be alone in the hotel. The food is quite good i ate meat and risotto. Good!
This perfect hotel is a stroll away from the muvuca (party) downtown so that you can relax at the pool or sleep peacefully in complete security and confort OR walk into where the action is. Romantic place with amazing plates... Núbias cocada de forno (oven...More

If you were going for longer, I would split your stay. As you're not, I think it comes down to what your priorities are. If you want to spend most of your time on the beach, it is beautiful, unspoiled but fairly remote. Access to it other than through the hotels is only by walking from the town beach. We opted to stay at Refugio, which gives you more of a feel for the place and you are with the local people. We spent time on the local beach which was lively, vibrant but definitely not as beautiful in the traditional sense. You can walk along the beach to the beautiful part. It takes about 30 minutes. It has a feel of being owned by the hotels, although is not.
