This is a lovely place to stay set amongst the "bush". The hosts were very friendly and took the time to chat in the central sitting area. The house is very interesting with very nice bedroom and breakfast.

Eva and Roli have a very lovely home to share, starting from the stunning view to the tasteful architecture and decoration of the house. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast with great variety from muesli to cold cuts to home baked cake and bread-yum! It's close to the Pancake Rocks, a beautiful beach and interesting bush walks. Roli gave us very...

We loved the homestay experience here. Roland and Eva were charming hosts. We were welcomed with tea and delicious home made cake, wonderful after a long drive! The Rocks is a unique house nestled in the wooded shoreline. You can hear the sea and we had a wonderful sunset from our balcony. Thank you for your attention to detail and...

Upon a warm welcome, Rolland and Eva turned out to be very easy going, relaxed, talkative, yet attentive hosts, willing to do their best to make you feel at...

After battling torrential rains over Arthur's Pass, and a dismal stop in soggy Greymouth, we were ready for a place to relax and dry out. Found it at The Rocks. We booked "The Sea" room, no view due to weather, but you could hear the ocean waves -- lulling us to sleep. We took advantage of the beverage service, wine...

After a great day of travel from the Picton area the weather started to turn as I arrived at The Rocks and it was great to have such a lovely place to stay. Instead of going out for dinner they offered to include me in their family dinner and the potato and leek soup that we had hit the spot....
