A really well thought out hostel with a great kitchen and helpful owners. A great place to visit "the route de flores". Head out on the waterfall trip and ensure you are there for the food festival on the weekends.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in one of the double rooms. Our room had a large patio with a cool outdoor shower and toilet. Didn't spend too much in the room though since the common area is the hangout place. Big kitchen with everything you need. And the hostel is small so you will get to know everyone else quickly....

There's nothing to dislike about this place; super friendly owner and staff; roomy dorm with huge lockers and comfy beds; excellent places to relax both inside and out (heavenly garden); well equipped kitchen; stacks of dvd's; great location - quiet but short walk to main square and buses;lots of quirky bits and pieces. Hard to leave.

Very friendly and helpful staf. Great tours ("7 waterfalls", coffee finca,...), booked with their help. Many books, movies, games, etc. in the hostel. Great atmosphere in the common room. We loved staying here and would recommend the place.

We came for two nights and ended up staying a week at this charming little hostel. The established garden is absolutely stunning and makes it far too easy to relax and unwind. The kitchen is large and well equipped and the papusa making class was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff have all been great but the house dog, Chamaco, is the...

Nice staff, really clean and a great kitchen. Pretty central as well. Really enjoyed the garden, nice place to eat your dinner or have a beer. The two dogs are a bit annoying but I guess you'd like them if you're a dog person.

Great kitchen for preparing your food and Darren the...

It's rare to come across a hostel that makes you feel like you are at your own home. Casa Mazete did this and more and that is testament to Darren and his team at the hostel. The location and amenities are right up there with the best we have had on our trip through Central America but the staff topped...

Amazing hostel- super homey and has everything you would want in a hostel, the trips to the waterfall they arrange with Carlos are great, they have a hang out area with all the movies as well as a great garden and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. One of my top 5 hostels of all time, can definitely see...
