We called in for a drink whilst driving through Vinuela.. food looked so good we decided to have lunch. It was as good as we remembered 8 years ago. A tranquil setting, perfect wine, excellent food. And the sun was shining.

Hi - well not on foot. Absolutely nothing except two restaurants on the adjacent shore of the lake (it's actually a reservoir) - both extensively reviewed on TA, and the camping restaurant is a good-value bar type. If you have a car then yes. You could get to Velez-Malaga which is close by and overlooked but has some nice monuments and churches. There are several of the typical white-painted villages within 10KM. The coast would be most accessible at Torre-del-Mar near Velez-Malaga.
A bit further afield would be the marvellous Antequera.
