It’s the old cliche of you get what you pay for.
We didn’t realise that full board didn’t even include tap water with our meals. We were charged $3.60 for a jug of tap water so opted to go all inclusive. We ended up paying for a day that we couldn’t use due to being picked up at 9:45am.
Josina at reception went above and beyond to help guide us around the city.
Whilst the hotel is prime location for the beach, this is a hotel for Spanish residents not tourists as Josina was the only person who spoke English at reception.
On arrival we paid for a fridge which was not delivered so had to chase up more than once.
Bedding was filthy on two of the beds. The House keeper asked us to wait until tomorrow for them to be changed. Thank god for google translator.
Had to go to reception 4 times to ask for clean bedding.
The soap dispenser in one of the bathrooms was empty and there was a visible build up of dust on top of both soap dispensers in the bathrooms.
The male bar staff were rude and on more than one occasion served the Spanish guests who were stood behind me in the line.
The food selection was ok if you can get over the partial cooked fried eggs and tough bread. The sea food collection was good.
Most of the shops are shut during the day and the strip outside the hotel gets very busy at night especially on the weekends.
If you are all Inclusive be mindful that this does not include the bar on the beach so you will have to travel back and forth to get drinks and snacks.
This hotel is perfect if you like the beach but as with the hotel if you don’t speak Spanish you may have to use google translate to communicate.
If you’re on the first floor be prepared to hear the hoover in reception from 6am onwards. Also on the first floor your room is cleaned very early in the morning.

I was in this hotel from 20.08.2022 - 27.08.2022 (7 Nights) in all inclusive with my girlfriend. We are at the age of 29 and 27.
I havent written any review before, but i decided to write because our stay in this hotel was amazing. The staff were excellent, the room were clean. The location is also perfect because the hotel is situated on the beach so you leave the hotel and you are sunbathing in 30 second after you leave the hotel.
You have many times the same food for breakfast, lunch and dinner but they are trying to make some differences so they are changing 6-7 types of food per lunch/per dinner.
We have also visited Barcelona by train and the train station is situated nearby hotel (it took cca. 6 minutes walking from hotel to train station). The way from Calafell to Barcelona took about 55 minutes so its really good and if you are travelling with train the railways are situated nearby the beaches and you can enjoy incredible views from train too.
We were totally satisfied from the hotel, staff, location and everything.
The water was about 28 degrees hot and everyday we had small waves so we also really enjoyed our stay at the beach.
I found only one bad thing that was the coffee. The coffee from the machine at breakfast in the hotel its horrible, we didn t like it. But there is a bar inside the hotel where you can eat, drink from 10.30 am to 23.30 pm things such as sangria, water, coffee, beer, alcoholic drinks, non alcoholic drinks and have some snack as hot dog, burger, fries and also ice cream. I would not reccommend to eat burger and hot dog because they are also horrible to eat.
So except the morning coffee, hot dogs and burgers in bar I can say everything was amazing and clean. Besides that we can recommend the holiday in 4R Miramar Calafell. Big thanks for our perfect holiday to 4R Miramar Hotel.

The good thing about this hotel is it's location: its on the beach and just 10-15 min walking from the bus\train station. And its quite clean. Now about the rest. I had half board included: but food was quite terrible and selection was extremely small so I had to eat outside. Rooms are quite big but dark with bad lightning. Tiny walls: you can literally hear exactly what people in the next room are speaking about. You have to leave the deposit for safe. Wifi only at the reception. Reception...hmmm... they could use to learn to be more polite. Another weird thing: you pay tourist fee after you check out. So me and my taxi have to wait around 20 min to leave this place, because reception lady was registering new guests. Yet, we paid so little that we got what we expect.

This was an unexpected visit but a worthwhile one. The rooms are expected but incredible value. The staff is what makes this place great. From dealing with issues (someone smoking in the lift ffs) to helping us out. Ive stayed in few places who could have done more. Yes 100% id stay again and I hope to in the future. Pool is small but enough. Great cocktails. Great service again. Maria at front of house was brilliant. See you again soon

Me and my partner Stayed at this hotel 9th & 10th August 2014, We got a flight from Manchester into Reus airport. We had not booked transfers so thought we would check out our options once we got there. When we go away we usually get a taxi at the airport but here they are all set prices depending on your location. To Calafell a taxi would have cost 75 Euros so we decided to get the bus as it was just me and my partner minus the kids. The bus stand is opposite the exit and you will need to get the line 50 bus at stand 1 this is a cost of 3 euros each. The bus will take 30 minutes to get to Reus train station and from here you will need to get a train to st vincent at a cost of 4.30 euros each this will take 30 minutes then you will need to switch lines onto the R2 or R5, we were lucky and this train was there straight away so did not pay whoops!!! You get off this train at the next stop. Once you get off the train go under the sub way and cross the road go down a street towards the ocean. When you get to the promenade turn left and you will find the hotel after a 3 minute walk.

Check-in was quick and efficient and we were given our wristbands for the all inclusive and a list of what was available on the all inclusive option. As it was lunch time we went straight for lunch there was lots of food to choose from, salads, soups, pastas with different sauces, fish, veg, and freshly cooked meat. We were both happy with the selection of food on offer, drinks for lunch were the usual wines, beers and soft drinks.

The room was clean and well presented and was of average size, it had the usual two beds pushed together a small sofa, a dresser with TV and a couple of drawers. We also had a small balcony overlooking the side street. The bathroom had a bath and shower and was clean. The walls are very thin and you can hear other people but we did not worry about this too much.

The hotels pool is only small but ideal for children and there is a small seating area with sun beds and table and chairs, there is also a bar in this area. The drinks on the all-inclusive list were, vodka, beer, wine, sangria, whisky, whisky cream, rum etc. there was also snacks such as cakes, hot dogs and burgers but we did not have these. The evening meal again was good with lots of different foods to choose from and was of a good standard. There is a bar for the evening entertainment, the night that we were there they had a male Spanish singer on, some people got up to dance for the odd song but it was fairly quiet.

The great thing about this hotel was the location, beach front and close to all bars, restaurants and shops. The hotel even has a beach bar but unfortunately you can't get all inclusive drinks here so we had to go back wards and forwards from the hotel pool bar when we were on the beach. The beach was great, although you did have to pay for sun loungers but like many we choose to put towels down on the sand. The sea was lovely and warm and it was great fun jumping over waves. In the evening the promenade is full of people walking and there is some market stalls selling gifts etc.

We did not take our children but it did seem like there were a few things going on for kids in the day and also a mini disco at night.

We went for a relaxing weekend break and that is what we got, at £120 all-inclusive for 2 for a night it was a bargain. Great food, friendly staff, close transport links, good area and fantastic location.

Barcelona is about an hour away on the train so will be good for a day out.

The downstairs of the hotel is renovated and beautiful, the rooms are old and we'll lived in. We had a sea view room and the view and the balcony are wonderful. The room however is old, the bathroom is fairly clean (we had some hairs in the tub and on the floor). However the grouting near the bath is dirty and the bath which you also use for showering is so tiny you can hardly put your feet next together. The water pressure is good but the taps are dirty. The beds were fairly new and good and so were the cushions, but the downside is there are very old blankets on the bed. No fridge and no water although this was mentioned on the website. The breakfast is OK but the same every day and could do with some more fresh fruit. Positive, free Wi-Fi. So overall an OK stay but will not be staying here again.

We just wanted a week away with some sunshine and quiet but something to do at night. Looking for something to do in the evenings and preferably some shops to look at while out at night whilst walking to a bar. Hotel was lovely and clean. Towels changed every day but the bath towels were a little on the small size. Rooms were also cleaned every day and had no complaints. Shower leaked in the bathroom but was fixed the same day it was reported. We asked for a fridge as I am diabetic and need to keep insulin cool whilst there. This was duly brought to the room just after we arrived. Although there was a built is cupboard for the fridge, the guy just placed it alongside and plugged it in and left the room. As it took up space we needed, we un-plugged it, opened the door of the built in cupboard, lifted the fridge into the space and plugged it in a closed the door. Fitted a treat and gave us more space in the bedroom! We had to pay an extra charge for the fridge which was around 17 Euros I think, but I had to have a fridge. There was a good choice of food but I found throughout the week there was only chips available, the vegetables were only just warm and the only other potatoes were boiled and they were cut into quarters and mixed in with the warm vegetables. There was a very good selection of puddings including ice cream, yoghurts and fresh fruit. However, we found the hotel was mainly full of French, Spanish and German guests and there was constant chatter at each meal time which was sometimes very over-bearing. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful but not many spoke a lot of English. Entertainment was not the best - we are in our late 60's but we are not into line dancing, waltzing, bingo and dancing to the twist which seemed to be the evening events. It may be that out of the busy season this is what is normally put on for coach parties etc. We walked along the beach path - which was lovely - and found some great bars and spent most of our evenings in one or two of the bars watching TV and speaking to other people in there. Not many shops were open as it not the main season, but we found it quite expensive maybe because it is some years since we have shopped for anything in Spain. A hotdog, beefburger, large beer and diet cola cost nearly £18! The pool was lovely, but only small with no more than 25 sunbed. The remaining area was used for tables and chairs for people to eat - say around 5 tables/4 chairs in the sunny area and another 4 tables/chairs in the shady area. The hotel has a large area in the front for people to sit and eat outside if you are only half board as we were. There were groups of foreign students staying there at the same time as us so the restaurant was very busy in the morning and we did struggle to get a table for 2 a couple of mornings. For us - not enough to do in Calafell and did not want to get a train to Salou or Barcelona, and too much noise in the dining room at meal times. Could not fault the hotel for cleanliness and friendliness.

I will highlight the positives first, this hotel is lovely and clean, lovely spacious rooms and comfortable beds a great bathroom with large walk in shower, plenty of fresh towels supplied on a daily basis. Pleasant staff well presented and very helpful A small heated swimming pool outside is another plus along with good sun beds and pool bar. Also another plus is its location a few steps from the sea front. Now for the negatives. We were half board and found the food quite poor lukewarm at best tasteless and often because of coach parties having to go in first because of the trips they were going on things ran out . The beach bar I had so looked forward to was closed as was the children's club. Also the rooms would benefit greatly from tea and co fee making facilities

We were staying in Barcelona and decided to switch to a slower pace for our busy toddler to have room to run around. It was the best decision of this trip. This hotel is just lovely. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful with whatever suggestions you may need for newcomers. The town itself just feels really safe. A lot of the shops close down in the afternoon, so be aware of that if you’re looking to shop in the afternoon, double check the hours. The included buffet breakfast is large, hot options. Everything is really good, just basic. Perhaps my only complaint which isn’t really life altering was the amenities missing from the rooms. There is no kettle or iron. They have a lovely little balcony off of the room that I would have really enjoyed using and having my morning coffee, or afternoon tea... but with no kettle or coffee maker, that required going elsewhere to get my beverages. We were a little surprised when we called the desk to request an iron, there was no iron to be had. Minor things really, but would have been really appreciated. The hotel is also very easy to get to. 5 min walk from the train station, right on the beach. Location couldn’t be better. We definitely plan on going back and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quieter beach experience. Not a big night life and that was just perfect for us.
