Breakfast was really good (toast, fresh fruit, scottish breakfast, or even simple cereal) even got to take the leftover fruit for our day trips. Interior of the house is a bit...

My wife and I here and were greeted by Ida the hostess who took us to our room and allowed us to get settled in while she made us a welcoming cup of tea/coffee. Our room was ensuite with lots of room. The house is less than 5 minutes drive from the centre of Kirkwall but gives everyone peace and...

Parking is easy and the welcome from Ida and Balfour an experience to be remembered. Local soaps and local ingredients at breakfast. All other guest houses should strive to...

The food offered was excellent and the cleanliness was of the highest standards. There was 6 of us in our biker group and all had a memorable experience from start to finish over the 5 days. Highly recommended for all....

We stayed at Ida and Balfours place for three nights (a party of three motorcycling couples from Yorkshire) hand on heart, you could not wish to meet a nicer couple who run a first class B&B. Situated next to the Scapa whisky distillery this fabulous house is an ideal place to base yourself for touring Orkney. We were made to...

We enjoyed our 1 night here. Could easily have stayed longer. Friendly hosts and a clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast too. Would recommend and return. A little out of town so you'd need a car.

Had a fab 4 night stay at Scapa House. Ida is very welcoming. Large room, comfy bed, excellent shower, Orkney Soap toiletries, superb breakfast and homebakes, wifi, there was nothing that could have been better. Very relaxing, and the benchmark for a fantastic B&B.
